It makes a lot of sense. Do you read or listen to the news? Your response is like an ostrich with its head in the sand.
Did you read my initial post where the pastor's mother went on and on because I didn't vote? It is obvious by her response and the response of many other Christians they do indeed see him as a savior. Trump is a wolf in sheep's clothing and a mature believer will see this. We need to care about policies yes, but we need to stop thinking a man is going to make this present earth a 'paradise'--that won't happen until our Lord comes again.
Here is an article addressing this phenomena and there are numerous more if you care to open your eyes to the truth. This is precisely the kind of thinking that will cause 'believers' to be deceived by the anti-christ.
How self-proclaimed ‘prophets’ from a growing Christian movement provided religious motivation for the Jan. 6 events at the US Capitol
In addition to symbols of
white supremacy, many of the rioters at the Capitol on Jan. 6 carried signs bearing
religious messages, such as “Jesus Saves” and “In God We Trust” while others chanted “
Jesus is my savior and Trump is my president.” In a video interview, one of those who breached the Senate floor describes
holding a prayer to “consecrate it to Jesus” soon after entering.
‘Seven mountains of culture’
Before the 2016 election a group of INC “prophets”
proclaimed Trump to be God’s chosen candidate, similar to
King Cyrus in the Bible, whom God used to restore the nation of Israel. After their prophesies of Trump’s winning the election came true, these “prophets” became enormously
popular in INC Christianity.
In
our book, we showed that INC Christianity is significantly changing the religious landscape in America – and the nation’s politics – by providing an unorthodox theology to promote conservative Christians rising to power in all realms of society. It is the fastest-growing Christian group in America.
