Idk what is good because the Bible says none are good. If you are waiting to vote for Jesus then people shouldn't vote.Well, I'd say because he also implicates himself. My point is that Christians are deceived by Trump the same way people were by Hitler--of course I'm not saying Trump compares in anyway to Hitler, but I am saying in the sense that he is not a good person and yet so many 'Christians' have been hoodwinked by him and looking to him to save them--pointing back to the whole point of the forum.
I"m not sure what you mean--no one said anything about him being Jesus. You seem to be completely missing my point.Idk what is good because the Bible says none are good. If you are waiting to vote for Jesus then people shouldn't vote.
I still do not buy into the idea Christians thought of him as Jesus.
With most of history it is never so simple. Jefferson thought of Jesus Christ as his Savior but definitely held beliefs we would call heretical today. He saw the Bible as the best moral foundation for a country. The Jefferson Bible wasn't necessarily supposed to be the official Bible. It says on the cover pageWe know our presidents are imperfect men, many who have done great good, but the purpose of this forum is not political--I believe Resident Alien started it because he sees the politicizing of Christianity problematic.
PS I knew Jefferson held slaves and the other thing that always bothered me is that he cut out parts of the bible he didn't like and created his own bible. https://www.christianitytoday.com/c...-biography-peter-manseau-religious-books.html

Very few people would come right out and say Trump is equal with Christ—he's my savior in other words. That isn't the issue though.
Many people look to Trump and other politicians to save them in this world; to give them the perfect world for which they so diligently strive. The Lord Jesus promised tribulation in this world; politicians offer worldly comfort. Hmm, which sounds better?
The megachurch and the prosperity gospel manifestation of this same cancer.

Many Christians to day are making the same mistake, expecting their Christ to be a political figure who'll save them from the liberals in this world.
Thus they worship Trump.

True. It's dominionism, whether people realize it or not. That is, the kingdom of heaven must be created on earth before Christ can return. He's returning for a spotless bride; therefore, the kingdoms of this world must be made perfect and spotless before He can come.
Lol no one is expecting thisor thinking this. There is a huge difference from stopping stupid policies versus thinking of a president as a Messiah lol.
This makes no sense.

It makes a lot of sense. Do you read or listen to the news? Your response is like an ostrich with its head in the sand.
Did you read my initial post where the pastor's mother went on and on because I didn't vote? It is obvious by her response and the response of many other Christians they do indeed see him as a savior. Trump is a wolf in sheep's clothing and a mature believer will see this. We need to care about policies yes, but we need to stop thinking a man is going to make this present earth a 'paradise'--that won't happen until our Lord comes again.
Here is an article addressing this phenomena and there are numerous more if you care to open your eyes to the truth. This is precisely the kind of thinking that will cause 'believers' to be deceived by the anti-christ.
How self-proclaimed ‘prophets’ from a growing Christian movement provided religious motivation for the Jan. 6 events at the US Capitol
In addition to symbols of white supremacy, many of the rioters at the Capitol on Jan. 6 carried signs bearing religious messages, such as “Jesus Saves” and “In God We Trust” while others chanted “Jesus is my savior and Trump is my president.” In a video interview, one of those who breached the Senate floor describes holding a prayer to “consecrate it to Jesus” soon after entering.
‘Seven mountains of culture’
Before the 2016 election a group of INC “prophets” proclaimed Trump to be God’s chosen candidate, similar to King Cyrus in the Bible, whom God used to restore the nation of Israel. After their prophesies of Trump’s winning the election came true, these “prophets” became enormously popular in INC Christianity.
In our book, we showed that INC Christianity is significantly changing the religious landscape in America – and the nation’s politics – by providing an unorthodox theology to promote conservative Christians rising to power in all realms of society. It is the fastest-growing Christian group in America.

Thinking of this world as Humpty Dumpty...
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king’s horses (Conservatives) and all the king’s men (Liberals)
Couldn’t put Humpty together again.
...It will take the King of Kings...
Yes I stay updated and wish I could be like an ostrich but unfortunately truth needs to be told.
How does A equal B? Did she say she saw Trump for eternal salvation?
.
Good opinion but there are plenty of mature Christians who can see the good that was done.
Who is saying this? Do y'all have a quote of one individual? Or a poll to represent a majority who believes this? Or is it just opinion?
The majority at the Capitol was peaceful. And the Capitol police let them in the Capitol. In all aspects it was a pitiful attempt to overthrow the government and when compared to BLM and ANTIFA who the majority wasn't even prosecuted.
Anyways is there anything untrue about these statements above?
And now you speak of small minority groups. Hardly the majority.
Spoiler alert ... that's pretty much all a lot of people are thinking right now.Lol no one is expecting thisor thinking this. There is a huge difference from stopping stupid policies versus thinking of a president as a Messiah lol.
This makes no sense.
sadly this country has lost it's way and forgotten it's first love forgotten the one this country was founded in, thos country is therefor doomed to endure God's wrath
Those are patriot these same values are true Americans and true Christians
