Idk what is good because the Bible says none are good. If you are waiting to vote for Jesus then people shouldn't vote.

With most of history it is never so simple. Jefferson thought of Jesus Christ as his Savior but definitely held beliefs we would call heretical today. He saw the Bible as the best moral foundation for a country. The Jefferson Bible wasn't necessarily supposed to be the official Bible. “Being an Abridgment of the New Testament for the Use of the Indians." Jefferson was concerned with the missionary work to convert the Indians, but it was never published or distributed to the Indians.
Almost like you see kids Bibles do not contain all the meaty parts of scripture he felt to reach the indians he needed to water it down to moral teachings in the hopes of helping them become civilized and then accepting Christ. Cilized indians would help assimilate them.

Many Christians to day are making the same mistake, expecting their Christ to be a political figure who'll save them from the liberals in this world.
Thus they worship Trump.
here is my stance on politics and Christianity I used to be niehter left or right I just wanted the right person to be president someone who would do the job right, but because of how biden and left have done so much wrong I am currently on the right but not just the political part. This country was founded on Godly princables it was originated by in God we stand that is the standard I stand by regardless of how politics has been divided that part and that honor that once resided in Gods name by country and by God is where I stand. I take honor and pride in that and my political view is now on the patriot that honors and takes pride in that phrase valuing true honor and justice in Godly form and values in what is good for both country and God a country that honors God is a country ruled by God but sadly this country has lost it's way and forgotten it's first love forgotten the one this country was founded in, thos country is therefor doomed to endure God's wrath but I value those who stand by what this country originally stood for

Did you read my initial post where the pastor's mother went on and on because I didn't vote? It is obvious by her response and the response of many other Christians they do indeed see him as a savior. Trump is a wolf in sheep's clothing and a mature believer will see this. We need to care about policies yes, but we need to stop thinking a man is going to make this present earth a 'paradise'--that won't happen until our Lord comes again.

The majority at the Capitol was peaceful. And the Capitol police let them in the Capitol. In all aspects it was a pitiful attempt to overthrow the government and when compared to BLM and ANTIFA who the majority wasn't even prosecuted.

Do an internet search you will find plenty who are saying it. And it is on both sides. There are churches preaching 'social justice' --talking about how white people are the problem-and these are predominantly white churches! White isn't anything in and of it self--no color is---the gospel talks about SIN and WICKEDNESS--color has nothing to do with it. The Southern Baptist Convention voted in adopting Critical Race Theory to be brought into their churches--this is insane. Even parents who aren't Christians were going to board meetings to fight it being taught in schools, many who were people of color.

Sounds fuzzy to me--it is a worldly ideology that has no place in the church. The gospel+ nothing is the formula not the gospel+ xyz
You seem to have no understanding how we are using the term, even though we already explained they're not seeing him as THE Messiah, but rather a type of Messiah--we are to be looking to Christ and not man to make things right. Things will not be made right until Christ comes again.
Again that is the WHOLE point of this thread. You think these Christians are outlers--we see it as enough to be a problem--take as example the pastors' mother--she and her husband founded that church -- it is a church known for being gospel centered and yet she was so disturbed about me not voting as if Trump was some sort of 'savior' and Jack Hibbs church is into the thousands not to mention people that follow him throughout the U.S.--the home church as an example that invited me to their study.
It is dangerous and I can't imagine any Christian thinking this type of 'movement' is hilarious or something to joke about.
