I would also say concerning them that we have "everything that we need for life and godliness" (2 Peter 1:3-4) in our English translation (the kjv). So, there is no need to go back to the original Greek to look for an interpretation that contradicts what we read in the English.
God, being sovereign and Omnipotent and loving (as I have said in other places), is both capable and motivated to preserve His unadulterated message of that which saves for the common people in a translation that we can read.
