But I mean do we Have to do this to maintain salvation?
I do not see how there can be any differences in interpretation to answer this. When we sin and that sin is not forgiven it kills. That is a plain simple fact, and it stands alone. It is not related to our kind of time. God operates in eternal time, it is different from our time. So any time we do not repent of our sin and have it washed away it kills us. No scripture disagrees with this, it is a fact.

I'm done
1Th 5:23, And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Th 5:24, Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Heb 10:14, For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

1Jo 3:6, Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

1Jo 2:17, And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
.
.
.
1Jo 3:7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

1Jo 3:3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
even as he is pure.

1Jo 2:6, He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Jde 1:24, Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

2Pe 1:10, Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

1Jo 2:10, He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

I know that there Is the book by John that says

1 John 1:9
King James Version
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I think this scripture Is talking about coming to CHRIST and not talking about a person needs to continually ask to be forgiven after salvation.
All Christians are "work-in-progress" - to be like Jesus. Confession and Repentant are a must for the normal process in "work-in-progress" Christians to restore the relationship with God. We grow from spiritual baby to matured adult in the knowledge of Jesus. If we don't confess and repent, the Sins will separate us from God. The relationship to God will be broken similar to the human relationship.

I believe that it is healthy for the Christian who is a work-in-progress, to strive for perfection; and also to believe that the goal of entire sanctification is obtainable.

Yes, entire sanctification is obtainable ...already proven in the life of Enoch, Daniel, Job ...In Bible

When we repent of our sins we don't want to sin. We can't say that we repented yesterday, so today we now want to sin. That would be like the son who told his Dad he would go work in the vineyard but never went to work.

Matt. 21:28
What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work today in the vineyard.’

29 “‘I will not,’ he answered, but later he changed his mind and went.

30 “Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I will, sir,’ but he did not go.

31 “Which of the two did what his father wanted?”
No born again Christian loves sin. No born again Christian is immune from temptation. And as we grow in Christ, we discover some things that we tolerated about ourselves are sin. This is the work of the Holy Spirit and transcends the law. A simple example. For me, being overly competitive was sin. I had to quit my sport. You won't find that in the 10 Commandments. I had been saved about 10 years when the lord convicted me. If I had rebelled, I would have suffered consequences. God has a way of making you wish that you had obeyed! But our eternal future is not at stake. God's discipline is because we are His children. We do not lose relationship when we sin and God will restore us when we confess our sin.

Please tell me someone who has achieved this while they are/were alive on this earth.

The GLORY of GOD is displayed more in the life of the repented sinners than the life of righteous persons with no need for repentant

Blessed be to our Creator the Savior

This agrees with what Christ taught. There are 128 times in the gospels and Acts that scripture mentions living in the kingdom of heaven. We are strangers and sojourners in the kingdoms of the nations, our home is in heaven. Much of the gospels is Christ telling us how to be model citizens of this eternal kingdom, and Christ said to be perfect. Christ knew, and we know we can't be perfect but when we live in repentance it means we live wanting to be sinless, or in scripture terms, to want to be perfect, another way of saying to live in repentance.

The word repentance is not defined by the word perfection. Whey do you bring this up, it is adding a completely new idea to scripture. Repentance has to do with wanting to be perfect, not achieving perfection. That is only done through the gift Christ gives us.

The closer we get to God. The more we realize how fallible we truly are and making it more obvious the need to acquire His Grace and Salvation. Being Saved is the first step to start your walk with Christ. It needs to be nurtured, maintained and tested daily in order for your Faith to grow. Christianity was not meant to be easy. We are sent out as sheep into the wolves den.

Also, such doctrine might be used as an excuse to not heed the voice of the Holy Spirit when He wants to sanctify you in a certain area of your life;

Since if that area of your life is the only thing left in you that is a sin, for you to surrender that to the Lord would mean entire sanctification...but if you believe that this is not possible, then you will not even believe in the ability of the Lord to deal with that sin and to cleanse it from your life (however, see 1 John 1:7,9).
Wow. Thank God for God's grace because when He drug me out of the pit, He knew this was a rough soul that needs His work in my life for all my life. This soul is rough but a dog to crumbs, the woman who wipes the feet of Jesus with her hair, the woman who just wished to touch a thread of Jesus's robe, the gentile Roman Officer who took the chance of a gentile
2Pe 1:21,For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Not everyone is carnal.

1Co 3:1, And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
1Co 3:2, I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
1Co 3:3, For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
So do you exclude for example the words of David due to his sin? Or Peter because he rejected Christ even cursed His name? All were imperfect humans but made righteous through faith in God/Jesus.

No, not eradicated.

Rendered dead (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Romans 7:8) so that it no longer has any say over our behaviour (Romans 6:14).
Exactly eradicated, dead, gone. But not in your sense of gone. The punishment is gone. The debt is gone.

Repented sinners are people who have been made righteous (Romans 5:19), no?

Correct....they were made righteous (Romans 5:19).

Is righteousness not a practical thing in your opinion (see 1 John 3:7)?

No, not eradicated. We continue to have indwelling sin as believers.

However, the element of sin can be rendered dead (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Romans 7:8) so that it doesn't any longer have any authority over what we do (Romans 6:14).

Not gone...put in remission like a cancer is put in remission.

So that it is no longer a threat.

Sorry, I don't know deep enough to explain ( If you are willing, ask the Holy Spirit (our divine Teacher) to help you... God Bless

You do the same; and you would also do well to accept my teaching on the matter; which is also the teaching of the Holy Ghost.

Read 1 John 3:7 and ask the question of whether righteousness is an impractical thing or not.

I believe that the real answer is borne out by the verse in question.
