That is wrong. You do not understand what second death is. It is death of the body, soul and spirit where nothing is left alive of the person. Equating first death with is clear error.
Well, if the spiritual death is the first death...and that is what scripture says, then it seems clear that the 2nd death would follow suit.
It doesn't say person the doesn't die, does it?
Yes, it says that clearly....in the day that you shall eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil in that day you will die.

It wouldn't be called second death if the person stays alive.
Then the first death was not really death either and that would make God a liar....And we know that he is not a liar and HE is the TRUTH....SO....

That is only written to happen to devil, not anyone else and that is likely a figure of speech rather than literal.
This is not talking about the devil:
Revelation 14
11And the smoke of their torment rises forever and ever. Day and night there is no rest for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.”

And the scripture about devil being tormented day and night forever....makes it clear that he is not the only one who is going to be in the Lake of Fire...so it is assuredly talking about all those in the Lake of Fire

Did God say... they would be punished "forever" night and day with everlasting punishment.... Well forever doesn't mean forever and everlasting punishment doesn't mean everlasting....You'll just be anilliated forever doesn't really mean forever.

Now that sounds like something the SNAKE in the garden would've said.
What the serpent said was the same lie that gets repeated to this day: "You will not surely die." :censored:

Think on that ~ the lie that deceived Eve and caused the fall
of man and corruption of all creation is still being promoted.

The fear of the lord[It's a idiom this case,[like it's raining cats and dogs]Proverbe 8:13The fear of the lord is to hate evil. And every false way[see the hay at end of the word?] From right to left. that makes it is female = spirit.the hay is the 1 that looks like a staple that's not connected on 1 leg[scripture definening scripture in this case.

יִרְאָה noun feminine female;[this is the superlative use of the word.

Well, if the spiritual death is the first death...

The first death is death of body ie: when someone dies. Spiritual death is a figurative type of death so is not numbered.

First death: human body dies, soul and spirit remain alive.
Second death: Human body, soul and spirit die, nothing remains alive.

That verse doesn't address any concept of eternal torment. All it says is smoke rises forever which we know is an intentional exaggeration because smoke cannot rise forever. It means that what happened to them, will be permanent and that is they died and were destroyed by fire and they will remain dead and destroyed forever.

Spiritually dead means separated from God.

They are going to everlasting damnation and punishment, where their worm dies not. Where they will have no rest night and day for ever and ever. It is not some exaggeration being explained in scripture... it is the truth.

Do you know the three elements/components of man? Body, soul, and spirit. Without the spirit, we are already dead. Not physically but spiritually. We need to take all truths from the scripture into account.
Oh dear,

Have fun with that. The whole Body soul and spirit thing. The book of Gen is clear the body plus spirit = Living soul. No There is no spirit of your self that floats up to heaven when you die. It is the breath of life that goes back to God. This whole Body soul spirit thing was made up by pagan teachings. The Vs you posted about the worm dies not, As Major, Manson, and Wright (The Mission and Message of Jesus, p. 123) comment, “The undying worm is not the symbol of a soul which cannot die, but is the symbol of corruption which cannot be purged.” In v. 43 “ of mark 9:48 life” is set forth in contrast with “the fire that never shall be quenched.” In Rom. 6:23 and many other scriptures “life” stands in contrast with “death.” In John 3:16 the contrast is between “everlasting life” and “perishing.” It is obvious that Jesus here intends the same contrast.

There's nothing funny about the word of God... so oh dear, I think you might want to put a little more study and thought into it: We need to take the whole Bible into account and rightly divide it. You are not doing that a missing a very important revelation of scripture. In doing so, you are taking your incomplete view of the components that make up a man and then trying to apply that to hell and the Lake of Fire.

You're looking at this with a natural eye, not a spiritual eye. All you can draw inference from is natural death because that is all that you have seen naturally. You have no idea what the first death was. even though it is recorded in scripture.

So here let's take a look at some scripture:

"May your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus" (I Thessalonians 5:23)

Heb. 4:12 The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

And yes, you are correct God made Adam a Body and breathed the Spirit into it and it formed/made a living Soul.

So body + Spirit = living soul Three separate components....we know this because the word of God is able to separate the soul and the spirit. They are able to be separated.

When Adam sinned, his spirit died. God told him that he would die in the day he ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

So there is where the first death recorded in scripture. SPIRITUAL DEATH

Body + dead sprit= dead soul is judged to eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire. (Spirit and soul still exist, but they are dead)

However, if you are born again:
Body + reborn spirit = everlasting life with God for spirit and soul.

Now. I don't know whether the body will make it anywhere.....We know that flesh and blood will not inherit the kingdom of God.
This is going to be spiritual and unless you can look at it with a spiritual eye you will never understand it.

So long story short....You don't understand what death means....If we correctly understand death then there is no contradiction in scripture you don't have to try to change words around to make them fit.

Until you can do that ...then you'll have to continue with forever, doesn't mean forever, everlasting doesn't mean everlasting, punishment isn't really punishment it's just their smoke that will rise forever. Their worm will die even though scripture says it won't...etc. etc.

So really, step back a little and look at how ridiculous switching the whole word of God around to hold up some view really is....

It's much better to understand the true meaning of death by studying and following the scripture.

Correction to the part I bolded....I missed the 5 minute time period again...lol

Body + dead sprit= soul (Spirit and soul still exist, but they are dead)
If the spirit is not reborn before death then these folks will be judged to the lake of fire for everlasting punishment. They will have no rest day or night forever.

The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

That is not a reference to just the first death, but includes the second.

It only describes two here brother. The living soul is the two put together.

Is there a Scripture verse explicitly saying Adam died spiritually?

It was Strong's Concordance that informed you, not me.
I'll take the Bible over Strong's any day.
It is a personal observation because your remarks regarding Hell and someone's parents exhibits a demeanor warned against in the Bible.
That's your opinion. Everlasting fire is Jesus' "opinion". I'll take His Word.
Proverbs 12:18 There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

SDA has no official Bible version.
The Christian Bible is about the FEAR of God.

The verse about "they have no rest day or night" doesn't say forever, though. If it did then that'd be different. There have been times I had no rest day or night and it certainly didn't last forever.

The word forever is not attached to having no rest day or night. They have no rest day or night for a period or time, whether one day/night cycle, two, or more but it certainly doesn't say forever.
