I've quoted several Scriptures. That's how I know. Don't you read the Bible?

Loving creator? You mean God who drowned everyone on Earth but 8, including children "making them an example"?

So, you reject God of the Bible Who WARNED us about Hell fire?

Irrelevant! Jesus warned us of Hell fire.

Did you just call Jesus evil?

Matthew 5:22 (NKJV)
22 Whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of
hell fire.

Is there a reason you have totally avoided quoting Scripture?
I already posted articles from Jewish Encyclopedia that shows those of us with Jewish background do and historically did believe in Hell.

The first encounter with a lie.

The serpent of old the Devil told Eve. You shall not surly die.

When they ate of the tree they did not die at that moment, but they did start ding. Much like sin it starts slow. People lived for 100s of years and over time lived shorter and shorter lives.

This time and age has a lie also. One where people in hell burn without end. In other words you will not surly die they say you just keep burning.

At some point God will do away with sin and Satan and those who follow him. No more burning on an on just gone ashes! Then God will create a new havens and earth.
In all truth though, he died the very instantance that he ate the fruit. God said the day you eat of the fruit you shall die in that day. That's exactly what happened. Adam died spiritually.

It had nothing to do with waiting hundreds of years and dying physically. If that had been the case, then Satan would have been telling the truth Adam didn't die physically in the day that he ate...But we all know Satan is a liar....and God is the truth... So Adam did die that day....He died spiritually.

1st death was spiritual death. The soul and body still existed.
2nd death is also going to be spiritual death. However, this time it will be eternal. No sacrifice will remain for those who deny Jesus.

Did God say... they would be punished "forever" night and day with everlasting punishment.... Well forever doesn't mean forever and everlasting punishment doesn't mean everlasting....You'll just be anilliated forever doesn't really mean forever.

Now that sounds like something the SNAKE in the garden would've said.

Spiritually Adam and Eve Died yes thank you for adding this. But seeing how this was a topic of hell I did not feel the need to add this part at the moment.

I believe it is the result of the punishment that last forever. Not the Punishment it self.

The serpent denied death would result from sin. Eternal torment also denies death will be result of judgement day since that doctrine falsely teaches that the unsaved will receive eternal life (not death) in lake of fire.

It seems it has everything to do with the conversation. It is actually the 1st death that is recorded in scripture. Spiritually dead = separated from God.

I have always been close to God my entire life and the God I know does not plan to torment people who reject him for all eternity. I know what is taught and the scriptures that those who teach this use, can you tell me how a wonderful and loving God would torment forever. Putting something bad to sleep forever and out of its misery, like a dog with rabies, is merciful. Please explain without scripture (because I know the verses well) ...explain by your experience and relationship with God what he revealed to you about this. I don't understand, the God I know is not like this. I do believe there is a judgment and evil people who reject him will not have a good end, but not that way.
I read an interesting comment by a pastor on this subject. He quit preaching hell. He was convinced that it went against the concept of a loving God. He did this for 4 years. Not one person got saved in that time. He realised that the "loving God" without the "God who is judge" bit is ineffective. He went back to preaching the true gospel and people started getting saved.

Whether you like it or not, God only saves sinners. Most people don't accept that they are sinners. They think that they are good enough. They will get to live with that for eternity. God is not doing it to them, they bring it on themselves. Those who refuse to preach the whole gospel surely will offend no one. Life is pretty comfortable. Those who preach the real gospel upset people and will incur the wrath of many.

I was one who thought he was a decent young man. I was deluded. I was depressed, suicidal, hopeless and borderline alcoholic. Yet I considered myself a good person. It was only when I saw God's holiness and righteousness that I realised that I was a sinner. I saw that I had no hope of entering heaven. Now if I had imagined that I would simply have ceased to exist, I don't know that I would have accepted Christ. The one thing that kept me alive was the fear of what might happen after death. And that is what got me saved. The fear of the Lord is indeed the beginning of wisdom.

Your "definition" does not overrule our Christian Bibles.

Proverbs1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
[/QUOTE]
It was Strong's Concordance that informed you, not me.

And that's your unBiblical opinion.
It is a personal observation because your remarks regarding Hell and someone's parents exhibits a demeanor warned against in the Bible.

Proverbs 12:18 There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

The SDA commentary? Are you SDA?
SDA has no official Bible version.

Yes, they did die. The 1st death was spiritual which was separation from God. So the main thing here seems to be the way people are defining death. 2nd death will be eternal separation from God in darkness and eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire.

Eternal spiritual death is not equal to eternal life. The unsaved are spiritually dead on earth, if they do not become born again before death, then they will suffer the 2nd death which is spiritual death in the lake of fire forever and ever.

We are talking about burning in hell for ever and ever so that is physical rather than Spiritual

You do not understand the meaning of death. It is not the end of existence, otherwise Adam and Eve would have died the moment they ate from the forbidden fruit. They were separated from God, not by God's choice (He came looking for them) but by their own. If people refuse Christ in this life, the opportunity is lost for ever. The second death is no more the end of existence than the first death.

Spiritually dead means separated from God.

They are going to everlasting damnation and punishment, where their worm dies not. Where they will have no rest night and day for ever and ever. It is not some exaggeration being explained in scripture... it is the truth.

Do you know the three elements/components of man? Body, soul, and spirit. Without the spirit, we are already dead. Not physically but spiritually. We need to take all truths from the scripture into account.

That is wrong. You do not understand what second death is. It is death of the body, soul and spirit where nothing is left alive of the person. Equating first death with is clear error.

It doesn't say person the doesn't die, does it? It wouldn't be called second death if the person stays alive.

Where they will have no rest night and day for ever and ever.
That is only written to happen to devil, not anyone else and that is likely a figure of speech rather than literal.
