The Day of the Lord is a time period and it is not 1003 and 1/2 years in length. The earth being burned up is also apart of 'the Day of the Lord which doesn't take place until after the millennial kingdom. It begins when that ruler, the antichrist establishes his seven year covenant with Israel, which is the opening of the 1st seal. The seals, trumpets and bowl judgments will take place throughout the entire seven years, where after the 7th bowl has been poured out Jesus will return to the earth to end the age.

And just fyi, just because Satan gets angry because he is cast out of heaven and restricted to the earth, this does not mean that it is Satan's time of wrath. He just gets angry during God's wrath.

I honestly do not get how people do not understand this, I know why, they have been taught differently, thus when they realize it could and is another way, in reality, they don't want to upset the apple cart so to speak. The Seals are Jesus opening each Seal and TRYING TO TELL US what's coming when the message f the Judgments is finally opened. That's why the first 5 are all about the Anti-Christ and the 6th is God's Wrath. The Anti-Christ cloaks himself by riding the coattails of God's timing, God strikes and chaos ensues, then the Anti-Christ GOES FORTH CONQUERING, Satan is a brilliant general, of course, he knows God's Wrath will destroy 1/3 of the world causing chaos, thus he uses this to his advantage if as I assume this Asteroid takes out the USA would not that be a wise choice via a generals decision? Satan is brilliant. Evil, but brilliant. He also knows that chaos will place all eyes in the pacific realm, and thus he goes forth a conquering at a time no one suspects.

The Day of the Lord means Jesus' 1000 year reign or the day he starts taking this Kingdom away from Satan. It's not just the 3.5 years of wrath. Reading the bible in depth will reveal this to all people. This is why the Day of the Lord also brings this earth's fiery destruction. Paul/Peter doesn't say burned up, they say it's destroyed. Burning 1/3 of the world via an asteroid is not the earth being desinegrsted.

This is the Third Era in which Christ comes to the world in a
cloud, full of splendor and surrounded by spiritual beings of light, to
liberate and save all men. I have given signs to everyone of My
presence; I have knocked upon every door, and hearing My
footsteps, they have rejected Me. And it has been you the humble
people, who carry within your spirit the lineage of the people of
God, those who have believed in Me; you have felt Me and received
me in your heart.
No one has been able to stop these manifestations nor held
back your footsteps, because the truth is enlightenment and an
invincible sword.
You know now that My coming in this Era was not to lavish
you with worldly riches; nevertheless, as one more proof of My
presence among you, you have seen my charity evident, whether
recovering your failing health; be it seeing the welcoming doors of
employment opened or receiving My manifestations in so many
forms as I have granted them to you.
I shall give proof to everyone of My presence, as much in
the spiritual as in the material.
Religions and sects of the world: open your doors and like a
cloudburst come to Me! Men of power: Arise and put My Work to
the test! Men and women come to Me, be charitable with
yourselves! If these people were not ready to receive you, I will
receive you; I will heal you and give you the bread of My Word!
Pray, o Humanity! I shall wait for you to talk to you and
reveal to you the mystery of the Third Era.
Do you expect the glory in this world? You know very well
that this Earth, by the will of men, instead of abounding in milk and
honey, sheds tears and death.
Prepare yourselves, because your hands shall be the ones
that will destroy your idolatry once you practice the spiritual
worship to God with all your love.
Be watchful, o My people, for the struggle draws near and
the adversary approaches. It will not be the pharaoh of the First Era
nor Caesar of the Second who will try to lower you to slavery,
fearful of your development and your light. It will be the darkness
of all the centuries that will envelop and threaten you; that is why I
have given you the sword of light so that you may fight. In that light
will be faith, wisdom and charity.
Forgiveness will be one of the virtues that will have greater
merit in the face of My justice. I say to you once again: "Love one
another."
My love will unite all men and all the worlds. Before me
will disappear the differences in races, languages and lineages and
even the differences which exist in the spiritual evolution.
Between God as Judge and man there exists a ladder, which
is Mary, your very beloved Mother, in whose love the spirits are
cleansed and purified in order to appear before their Father.
If the disobedience of Adam, the crime of Cain and the
confusion of Babel, still weigh upon Mankind, I shall give you
occasions to liberate you from all those blemishes.
I offer you this fountain of crystalline and pure waters,
where you will quench your thirst and be cleansed from all impurity,
but be vigilant over that fountain because men will rise wanting to
deceive you with false spiritual doctrines, and they will tell you that
they love God and Mary. Beware because that will be to disperse
you from the fold. There will appear those who will mix up My
Doctrine with human doctrines. Live on the alert! Because the hour
draws near when I will call you for judgment; then, My presence
shall be like thunder in a storm, and My light like lightning
originating in the East and losing itself in the West; then, I will call
the 144,000 who are marked by Me, so that in the face of My
justice, they will deliver their harvest; some will be in the flesh and
others in spirit.
Those who followed Me will be present in that
judgment, so that they may also respond regarding the first seed.
Before peace comes, there shall be the judgment. You will behold
the strong against the strong, and in those struggles their strength
and their pride will weaken. By then, the Earth will be bathed with
the blood of sinners and also of the innocent, and when these trials
have passed, peace will come to all nations, because men will be
recognizing the only, strong and just God.

The resurrection only happens at the second coming and the second coming can only happen after the trib has ended, and since the verses tell us the rapture happens AFTER the resurrection and second coming means these verses decisively prove the rapture is post-trib not pre-trib.

It's that simple.

Christ also spoke of the rapture but used the wording of saints being gathered together, and no surprise, placed it after the end of the Great Tribulation.

Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation (great tribulation has ended) of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming (second coming reference) in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect (*another way to speak of the Rapture) from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Timing of the gathering/rapturing is exactly the same in these two passages. In both we have saved Christians being moved from one place to another and in both that happens after the tribulation has ended and when the second coming has commenced.


A rapture before the second coming and before the resurrection is scripturally impossible and the second coming cannot happen until the tribulation has ended, Mat 24:29-30.

Let's back up slightly to establish context:



Paul is clear the rapture happens after the resurrection and the resurrection happens after the second coming. There is no pre-trib rapture in scripture.


It never fails to amaze me that a thread about the Rapture does not include the actual verses that speak of the Rapture and when it happens.

Rapture is an English word that comes from a Greek word which is Harpazo. Here is the Harpazo/Rapture and when it happens:

This is the rapture and it happens after the second coming of Christ which only happens once the great tribulation has ended. The Greek word for rapture is harpazo and that's the term used by Paul in verse 17.


So, the proper order of events according to scripture:

1. the second coming begins/Christ leaves heaven. (1Th 4:16) (this doesn't happen until the tribulation has ended, Mat_24:29)
2. the resurrection. (dead saints resurrect bodily in heaven and follow Christ as he returns to the Earth-second coming) (1Th 4:14-16)
3. the rapture. (living saints on Earth are gathered together from where ever they are on the Earth in order to meet Christ in the clouds when he arrives)(1Th 4:17)
This proves the pre-trib (and mid-trib) rapture to be false because the second coming comes after the tribulation not before or during it, Mat 24:29-30

So, the second coming happens and then the resurrection and then the rapture, all after the trib has ended.


A rapture before the tribulation is impossible according to Mat 24:29-30, and a rapture before the second coming is impossible according to 1Th 4:13-17.


So, the proper order of events according to scripture including Mat_24:29:

1. the great tribulation ends. (Mat_24:29)
2. the second coming begins/Christ leaves heaven. (1Th 4:16, Mat_24:30)
3. the resurrection. (dead saints resurrect bodily in heaven and follow Christ as he returns to the Earth-second coming) (1Th 4:14-16)
4. the rapture. (living saints on Earth are gathered together from where ever they are on the Earth in order to meet Christ in the clouds when he arrives)(1Th 4:17)

I was pretrib rapture until I was prewrath rapture. Now I simply say "maranatha Lord Jesus."

Too often Christians divide over questions not explicitly answered in the Bible. Rapture timing is one of those questions.

Of the four rapture-timing positions, not all can be right, which means at least three are wrong, and perhaps all are wrong. This issue should not be so dogmatic that animous fills the heart to the point of calling one another heretics.

Why did not God take people away during the persecutions of early Christians? Why does not God take people away during persecutions today? God has always allowed his people to go through persecutions, wars, famine, and hard times. That is why the Rapture theory of recent times makes no sense to me. No one before modern times taught a rapture theory. Saying one has texts that supports a rapture theory is simply reading one's understanding or rapture theory into the text.

In short , we are all fallible humans who reads our ideas into the text.

After 1000 years a second resurrection.

Read it yourself and be honest with the order and remember the throne of God and the city is still in Heaven at this point.

Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

The order does not have a secret rapture in it.

Except the entire church is not brought back with Jesus when He returns. Only those who are "asleep" does God bring with Jesus.

Correct. That was my point. So the first resurrection contains the tribulation saints and those who God brings with Jesus. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17.

The sleeping saints are resurrected then those living saints on Earth are caught up together with the resurrected saints.

As you correctly pointed out in Revelation 20:4, that would place the return of Christ, resurrection, and rapture post-trib.
