If you say so then it must be. As long as you hold to Pentecostal charismatic heresy you will continue in error.

Here's another example:

John 10:33-36 NLT - "They replied, "We're stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God." Jesus replied, "It is written in your own Scriptures that God said to certain leaders of the people, 'I say, you are gods!' And you know that the Scriptures cannot be altered. So if those people who received God's message were called 'gods,' why do you call it blasphemy when I say, 'I am the Son of God'? After all, the Father set me apart and sent me into the world."

What would a legalist say about the above passages? Do these words only apply to women . . . that we are like little gods? Do little gods remain silent and cover themselves up, or do they place themselves upon a hill and allow their light to shine?

And how utterly confusing for women, that they are commanded to let the light of Christ shine from them, yet are told to essentially sit down . . . shut up. For us fellas, just imagine being a woman who has been told to cover up and shut up, and reading the below verse. Talk about hypocrisy.

Mark 4:21 NLT - "Then Jesus asked them, "Would anyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed? Of course not! A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine."
I agree, just as some today vaule women less, just because of Gender, or maybe race, or even apperance.

IN the OT, men, (PRIEST), had to come to a woman to Get advice on God's Holy Word, Hilkiah, (a priest), having found a book of the law, king Josiah sends to enquire of the Lord. Get this, it was a woman who Got the whole nation back on the right track in serving the LORD correctly, this is found in 2 Kings 22:12 "And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king's, saying,"
2 Kings 22:13 "Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us."
2 Kings 22:14 "So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her."

it took a woman prophet INSTRUCTED MEN on HOW to SERVE the TRUE and ONLY LIVING GOD.

this woman knew God, and these men had to come to HER, a WOMAN for INSTRUCTION.... ain't God is GOOD.

another poster ask was women priest, well the priest had to come to a woman to find out what to do as a priests. apperantly, they didn't KNOW. BINGO, "THEY, THE MEN PRIEST, DID NOT KNOW"

now here's the irony, what if this "WIFE" was commanded to be silent ... as in 1 Corinthians 14:34 "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law."

so why go to this woman if she was to be silent? she is the one who got the Church ... back then in session. and this next verse, wow, 1 Corinthians 14:35 "And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church."

LEARN anything?, LEARN? this woman was well learned in the things of of GOD, that's why they, (the men priest), went to her. and again the irony, 1 Timothy 2:12 "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." what if this woman/WIFE did not "TEACH" these priests what to do?. ... I just Love it. ignorant men coming to an educated woman in the LORD. ain't that something.

Just as the apostle Pauls said to those ignorant HUSBAND/MEN in the church. if you was doing your duty, (AT HOME), then your wives would not be exposing your ignorance of the Lord here at his House. again Charity, (GOD's Learning), begans at HOME first, before one comes to church.

as I have said, if the Husband don't know at HOME, then let here teach preach and pastor her dumb hubby at home, and if the Lord give her to his body to instruct his people, then as Huldah the prophetess LET HER TEACH, PREACH, and PASTOR his people in the correct worship of God.

imagine, how many more souls could have been saved by the preaching/instructing of women, but ignorant men hinder the word of God.

I spent 10 years in a church that operated on the basis of the priesthood of all believers.
The Local Church (Watchman Nee)?

You spent 10 years in a church teaching error, as Gods words clearly shows male leadership in authority Bishop/Deacon

That condition exists with many denomination teachings which are contrary to the Bible and God's intent. Note the Baptists ruling baptism is not necessary, with no less than a half dozen references indication, clearly, that it is required. Many others. Such violates Rev 22; 18,19 also.

Any questions by readers start with Acts 2;38, et al. If you can't find such let me know and I will post all of them.
Just to be clear........Water baptism DOES NOT SAVE any more than keeping the Law saves.

To say that one HAS to be water baptised is then READING into the Scriptures what you have already decided you want them to say.

Baptists certainly have gotten some things wrong......but being baptized in water to be saved is not one of them.

Actually, that's my view of yourself. And since that is the case, I have no desire to even defend myself. Useless. :D
I agrree. How can you defend something that can not be defended????

ALl you are doing is argueing your PERSONAL denominational position.

Truth.......is your wife or mother a Pastor in the Pentecostal denomination or maybe the Episcopalian's????

As scripture clearly teaches, belief and confession, no water needed :giggle:

Water baptism is a directive, not a means for salvation.

Romans 10:9-11KJV
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

I have no family. Would you like to create more fairy tales? To be honest, it would be wise for you to realize that you're in the Matrix . . . it's called the Sin Nature. Turn to Jesus and have the Curse removed from your Heart.

Colossians 2:11 NKJV - "In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ . . ."

If you're going to reference a person's mother so as to cause emotional harm to others, you should be banned. Don't do this again.

I always thought that the Cross was about paying the debt for our sins . . . not the judgement of sins, but the repayment [for] our sins.
The two concepts are not mutually exclusive:
"in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh" (Romans 8:3)

The atonement through the cross entails an ocean of mercy through judicial principles. The cross was a judgment of sin, cleansing for the human conscience, payment for sin, appeasement/satisfaction of God's wrath, substitutionary ransom, etc. It is all these and more.

He's just demonstrating how weak his position is, and how ineffective his argumentation. Don't take offense; rather, let him dig his own pit. God is still the Judge. ;)

Oh, I couldn't care less about myself. My hope is that others would be protected from this kind of emotional abuse. This kind of behavior is designed to affect the conscience, the way a person thinks about themselves . . . for the rest of their lives. We can't have that, and it must stop.

The fact that this is even a discussion is evidence of worldly ways and customs influencing Christianity.

The world values "tolerance". So people try to read tolerance into their Christianity.
The world values "equality". So people try to read equality into their Christianity.
The world is awash in feminism. So people try to read feminism into their Christianity.

It's all pride. "Our way is better than God's way. We know better. Paul was in error!"

I know God, He will raise up 10 women to ministry for every time you repeat this. Mebbe that's why there are so many women in church leadership today .... grit your teeth bro.
You "Falsely" suggest that I dislike women, with a snarky remark "Grit Your Teeth Bro"?

The fact is, your in rebellion to Gods clear words of truth below, it's that simple.

Gods Words Are Very Clear On A Womans Role In The Church, And They Aren't Changing Anytime Soon.

Silence, Subjection, Obedience

(It Is A Shame For Women To Speak In The Church)

1 Timothy 2:11-14KJV
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

1 Corinthians 14:33-35KJV
33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Yes.......we are ALL in the SIN matrix as WE are all sinners!

You and me will never eradicate the sin nature.

Threats are not something you are advised to do. THAT (Threats) is what gets someone banned. ASKING if your wife is or mother is. a church pastor.....is nothing more than a question.

You seem to be very sensitive!!!!

If you are going to post opinions and take positions which are not based in the Scriptures, I suggest you grow some tougher skin my friend.

"in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh" .

You just said that YOU DID NOT KNOW that The atonement through the cross entails an ocean of mercy through judicial principles. The cross was a judgment of sin, cleansing for the human conscience, payment for sin, appeasement/satisfaction of God's wrath, substitutionary ransom, etc.

I find that staggering!!!

You did not know this simple theological teaching and had to learn it here on the internet.................
however you are teaching the internet how to REJECT THE WORD OF GOD in 1 Timothy 3:3-2 where God said a Pastor had to be a "MAN, A HUSBAND".

Am I the only one that finds this hypocritical and nutty???

Despite what you and other closed-minded individuals assume, I didn't come to hold an egalitarian view of ministry through the influence of tolerance, equality, or feminism. I suspect most others here didn't either.

Rather, I came to it by careful study of the text, and by not accepting blindly the traditions of men.

Whether you can hear that, and whether you can accept it, are different issues. Sadly, I expect not; it doesn't fit your narrative, and it pricks your pride.
