We need a scriptural reference for this.

Women should be silent during the church meetings. It is not proper for them to speak. ... Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. the women should be silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak, but are to submit themselves, as the law also says. 1 Corinthians 14:34

33 For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace—as in all the churches of the saints. 34 Women are to be silent in the churches. They are not permitted to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. 35 If they wish to inquire about something, they are to ask their own husbands at home; for it is dishonorable for a woman to speak in the church.…

The Good Lord was wise to forbid women from teaching and yappin in the church. This ain't no suggestion from God Almighty. Now there are those who would argue that Paul was a fraud cause he never met our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ but the Chef would not be one of them fine folks.

At the Chef's church the women folk always be given the preacher headaches with their fightin, fussin, and gossipin. The Good lord has strong words for busybodies ( 2 Thessalonians 3:11; 1 Timothy 5:13 ). First Peter 4:15 warns us, “Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler.” It is noteworthy that Peter lists meddling as prohibited right along with murder and theft.

Paul wrote 1 Corinthians 12, and he also wrote 1 Corinthians 14 below, why do you disregard this truth?

Gods Words Are Very Clear On A Womans Role In The Church, And They Aren't Changing Anytime Soon.

Silence, Subjection, Obedience

(It Is A Shame For Women To Speak In The Church)

1 Corinthians 14:33-35KJV
33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
Anytime someone says the same thing, over, and over, it means they are out of aminnination, they are only shooting blanks.

1 Corinthians 12:28 "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues."

well women are prophets, and God set them in the churches, and they PROPHETS "PREACH" also. this verse alone shoots that uneducated nonesense of women being silent in the churches to death. that verse puts an end to any that nonesense .

and as for women Pastors, this verse puts an end to that nonesense that women cannot be Pastors, 1 Corinthians 12:8 "For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;"

now to all those who hold to the nonsense of women cannot preach teach or Pastor, well discuss these scriptures.

This was the first topic the Chef came across in the Bible Discussion Forum and being a student of the Bible and Biblical scholar, the Chef saw the need to post up scripture on the subject. As a godly man and good Christian the felt it was his Christian duty to stop the fussin and fightin without rebukin or judgin any of you fine folks. With that in mind The Chef went to the Good Book which is the final authority on everything and posted up clear and concise scripture that put the matter to rest in hope that you fine folks would behave in a more Christlike manner.

My first post was my introduction. Normally the Chef would not justify argue or explain of defend his godly words or actions. The Word of God speaks for itself. It would not be wise to subtly accuse The Chef of subterfuge. If you got something to say it to The Chef. You ain't got to mince words the Chef.

Let me ask direct Truth7t7, Do you think God was wrong when He said that women need to keep their mouths shut in the church. It's a yes or no question.

In Germany the majority of born again believers 52% (coming out of free churches,
like Baptist or Mennonite) don't believe that Jesus is risen from the grave.
What is a "free" church? Baptists and Mennonites not believing the resurrection? o_O

Are you sayin God is contradictin himself? It's a yes or no question.

Are you sayin when God said that women are not permitted to speak in the church that He was spoutin uneducated nonsense. It's a yes or no question.

What I think you are doin is a form of Whataboutism and logical fallacy. God said what he said and injectin scripture that ain't germane to the discussion does nothing to refute the direct and clear words of Almighty God.

Your argument is not with the Chef or any member member of this fine forum, your argument is will God hisself. The Chef would advise you to speak with the Good Lord about this and then let the Chef know what you learned.

The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.

Of the 27 books in the New Testament, 14 are attributed to Paul along with 13 epistles. If you were to reject all that Paul contributed to the New Testament then you would have to reject 1/2 the new Testament. If you think Paul was wrong about this then you can't trust anything Paul wrote.

Paul mentions the law as did Jesus. Jesus said that he did not come to replace the law but to fulfill it. God don't want women yappin in the churches nor does he went them teachin. Them ultra orthodox Jews (them ones with them curls, beards and black hats) don't even allow women into the synagogue.

Now, I appreciate your response and the CIVIL manner you made it.

Please understand however that you are not disagreeing with ME. GOD sias, not but God said in 1 Timothy 3:1-2......
"This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach"."

GOD said......."A MAN".
GOD said......."HE".
GOD said......."Husband".

Those are all MASCULINE Greek pronouns.

The preacher you listened to is RIGHT! You my not like what he said but what he said is what GOD said and that brother is always the key to correct exegesis.

Everything comes down to this.......DO YOU believe what God said is what God said. If not your disagreement is with HIM and not me.

Now......you probably do not want to talk with me about Katheryn Kuhlman. You will not like to hear me.
You are wrong! There is no "man" or "he" in this passage. There is "husband." Paul left it neutral except for the admonition to husbands not to have more than one wife. I read Greek well. Get yourself an interlinear. The KJV committee translated this according to their own viewpoints, and were not truthful, adding those masculine nouns and pronouns.

So sad people don't trust the original versions, instead of all these mistranslated versions. It leads to false doctrines!

Then it makes no sense when Jesus said that he has to go to heaven for to send the Holy Spirit.(John 14,26; John 15,26;John 16,7-11)
You cant compare the conditions from the OT with the NT if you want to teach the truth.
What took place with the occasional individual in the Old Testament was a reflection of what was to come, but with the masses instead of only a small Vine. The Day of Pentecost represents the Day of Explosion, where the Body of Christ would Truly begin to multiply.

The Faith is the exact same in the OT as it is in the NT. Jesus can Circumcise a person's Heart in the OT. Jesus can send the Gift of the Holy Spirit to a person in the OT. Jesus can grant a person the ability to Repent (in the OT). Jesus can separate anyone from any Curse or worldly law at any time. Exodus 33:19. God can shed His Grace, Mercy, and Compassion upon anyone He so chooses.

I realize that what I am saying is foreign . . . but it is worth at least considering.

Well, with free church (Freikirche) are called all denominations out of RCC and Protestant church. Normally the believer in this Freechurches are bornagain, they teach it.
So this is a very sad and shocking statement.
When even those who you count to be believer do not believe that Jesus in risen.

In many aspects I think Germany is one of the most liberal places in Europe

The counterfeit Greek Text Novum Testamentum Graece supporting modern translations was produced in Germany Kurt Aland
