Is it?
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
What is it about militia that you don't understand? "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Have this couple gone to regular drill meetings in order to handle weapons properly? Obviously not!

They aimed weapons -- an assault rifle and a handgun -- at people who were walking by on the street. Check out the footage! Also, as I said earlier, she even pointed her handgun at her husband's head with her finger on the trigger!

Beyond this bizarre behavior, these people, judging by their behavior, were probably not Christians.

Matthew 5:43-44, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." Nothing here about hating and threatening them.

Matthew 7:12, "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." Nothing here about threatening peaceful strangers.

Matthew 7:1, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged." Obviously the couple were judging people for peacefully walking down a street.

And that's just from one Gospel!

Here's more...

Leviticus 19:18, “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

Mark 12:33, "To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.

Romans 13:9, "The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Galatians 5:14, "For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command:Love your neighbor as yourself.”

These people succumbed to fear and thereby violated the commandments of Christ.
They were afraid to trust God.

I watched the video that is in this discussion part and I have no idea what you are referring to when you say the husband pointed the gun at, and the wife pointed her pistol at her husbands head with finger on the trigger.

I don't take the rest of your opinion seriously at all. If you are serious then I'd refer you to Jesus telling his Disciples to buy a sword. And if they did not have one, sell what they had in order to be able to.
Judgment? We're to exercise righteous judgment. The Bible never says we are to never judge people. That's just not there.
And too, if you read the Bible you'll see that God's people were well armed and killed enemies. The idea you're espousing here is to love those who intend to kill you even when they're thrusting in the sword or pulling their own trigger.
That's not Biblical. That's suicide by proxy.

They are posted on my gate.
BE WARNED!
What's posted on your gate is not relevant if it is not in compliance with local law. Better to be sure of local laws
beforehand. Add your state to the end of this and click 'search'

The local law is what is posted alone with all proper no trespassing signs.
They know they stand and where I stand and my legal right to defend my property and family.

Sorry but I follow the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. He said to love your neighbor as yourself, to turn the other cheek, etc. You can rationalize all you want but the Bible says what it says. If you don't follow the teachings of the Lord that's your problem not mine.

I don't know which Bible you're reading. You said, "The Bible never says we are to never judge people. That's just not there." but Matthew 7:1 says "“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. and Luke 6:37 "“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

If you won't follow Jesus' teachings, "There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. Also, 2 Chronicles 20;12 says, "Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” They trusted God, not their own strength.

My Bible says the same. It also says that a man that will not provide for his family is worse than an infidel.
Now the question is, is that provision food only or also shelter and safety from evil men bent on bringing harm on them.
I believe it is all.
You may be able to just stand by and allow evil to harm your family, but I can not. I will not.
I have often turned the other cheek but their is a point that I will not allow evil to harm my family, or even your family without putting up a defense. What that defense is depends on the evil one. They can walk away of pay the consequences.

I suppose in your world we should disband all law enforcement and military.
Do you really think you would be setting in the comfort and safety of your home speaking on this free speech forum if not for those who placed their life on the line and often took other lives every day?
Somebody has to defend others. If they are not present, I will do the defending.

Did you miss the fact that in the video the people whom the couple aimed at were just walking down the street? Do you think it's permissible to threaten people who are simply walking by your house?

BTW, hypothetical scenarios don't mean anything, they're just fantasies. Jesus said "love your neighbor as yourself" and that what's I and other Christians should do.

If you don't follow Christ direct teachings (from both Testaments) whom/what do you follow??

Since you're not making any sense I'm a) not responding to any more of your posts and b) I will be praying for you so that your eyes might be opened.

It is my understanding that it was a private, not public street.
It is my understanding they entered that private street after breaking through a locked gate.
If that is correct, they had committed a criminal act.
Does that in its self give a person the right to threaten people? NO.
But I can understand people feeling threatened when criminal acts are in progress.

NO it is not permissible for me to threaten people walking in front of my house. I never said that.
I live 18 miles from town at the very end of a county road. It looks more like a path than a road.
You enter my property by driving down my driveway ( plainly marked as a private drive ) 150 yards to a locked gate.
The house sets another 150 past the gate.
Now, if anyone comes down that driveway and breaks through my locked gate they clearly are engaged in a criminal act.
What happens next is clearly up to that criminal.

If I am not making sense or have offended you I am sorry.
Let me try to explain where I am coming from.
We should love our neighbor. We should turn the other cheek. We should provide food, shelter, and safety for our family and even our neighbors.
We have military and law enforcement people to help with providing a safe place for our family and neighbors to work, live, and worship God.
When and only when those who we rely on to protect us from evil ( you do understand that the world is filled with evil people) are not present, or are in danger themselves, we do have a responsibility to protect those who can not protect themselves.

Again, not to offend, but I just cannot comprehend any person that could or would stand by and allow evil men to harm someone unable to protect themselves.
I have learned this fact. Often the very threat of resistance is all that is necessary.
Many of the evil men are just cowards and will run if you stand your ground.

instead of lords prayer saying forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us., some people want it to say we dont have to be forgiven because we deny our own trespassing on other people and will kill anyone we think are trespassing against us.

um how is that right?
the land you are standing on, thats under your feet is it holy ground or was it originally actually taken from someone else? it cannot even be cleansed and blessed unless you put things right with God first.

Otherwise what are guns going to solve...nothing.
I understand your sentiment but you're not assessing this situation correctly. This is as out of touch here as the advice of some to Christian women to endure domestic abuse. Only God may lead someone to withold themselves from self defense in a particular situation. No man has the right to advise it. I have been in a situation when someone trespassed on my property (I was actually living in a shed) to steal and I caught them in the act. We talked a little, I tried to minister to them, and I let them go. But if I am with my kids and family and a mob of several hundreds of people breaks in and starts yelling threats, you bet the game changes. The media did not portray the event accurately. People broke their gate and headed towards their house unprovoked, yelling threats, to burn their house, their dog and whatnot. Forgiving people sins has nothing to do with self defense. I'd see what would you do if a mob of 500 violent people barges onto your yard destroying your gate and threatens to set your house and family on fire. An angry mob isn't the same as one person you might try to reason first and deescalate with, either. As if you're not going to protect your kids and family from a violent mob. And those two harmed nobody, they deterred them by just holding guns (albeit in a bit ridiculous way but that's the only thing going against them, really) from making any further damage and hurting anyone else. And also guns here prevented people getting arrested for eventual crimes they were about to commit, if we don't count trespassing and damaging a historic property.

"The media did not portray the event accurately.". That's all that I need to read. Why should I believe you, an individual without credentials, instead of the press?

500 people? Were you there? All I saw was three or four people walking by the house on the way to protest at the mayor's house.

Thank God that we have a responsible press!!
