for hub an myself, Yeshusa led us to the KJV for His purpose = it does have the 'basic principles of God'
through and through...
we also 'understand' that there are no 'PERFECT TRANSLATIONS', for, ALL translators are flawed and with sin,
and therefore their 'language' is also flawed in the same manner...
as it is written;
ZEP. 3:9.
For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon The Name of The LORD,
to serve Him with "one consent".
it's the ONLY Scripture in the OT that has 'every letter of the Hebrew alphabet'...

please that false humility is over played. Out of the abundance of your heart, your mouth spoke. Now you try to justify it by saying you are like Peter and Paul? They both died for the Gospel and were led by the Holy Spirit to write the 2/3 of the New Testament . Maybe you should trying being more like Jesus and guard your mouth. Or speak correctly and not use foul language .

I would love it if one day someone posted something and said it was new but was ages OLD known already by many to be true. The marketing culture has influenced us to think something has to be “new and improved” to be interesting.

If God inspired His words but didn’t preserve them, then we’ve got nothing. The original inspiration means nothing. Unfortunately, in this Laodicean age, if one believes they have the words of God they are seen as cultic.

The Laodicean age deserves a Laodicean Bible or Bibles...

Exactly! And preservation is not a 1611 English edition that only 9% of the world's population understand - and then of that 9% many of them do not understand the old English well at all - so the idea that the 1611 KJV is God's answer to preservation is just not so!

God's holy preserved words are found all over the world in many translations and in many languages: sadly there are some languages into which God's holy Word has not yet been translated . . .

Good question:

When I say only 9% of the world's population understands the KJV that is admittedly a very round figure. From various estimates 5% to 8% of the world's population speaks English as a first language. Maybe 20 to 25% of the world's population understands at least some English.

My 9% is a very rough estimate that I picked up from discussion with various Bible translators of those that are able to read an English translation and understand it well enough to really understand it and to be saved. Then my observation "many do not understand the old English well at all" is simply my own observations from interactions with young people form various backgrounds and their reading in the KJV.

The original inspired manuscripts were not in English. But many godly men have translated God's Word into English in many different translations that give us the meaning of the original manuscripts in a way that we can easily understand. None of those English translations is inspired like the original manuscripts were inspired.

There are some English translations that are much better than others. Some have some big issues (like the New World Bible Translation). Some are very excellent representations of the original manuscripts (like the KJV, the NASB, and the ESV).

The English language is not the most important and best language in the world, and the KJV is not God's supernatural gift to all the world in the English language. God's gift of inspiration is the original manuscripts in Greek and Hebrew from which completely trustworthy translations have been made in many languages.

If you want to argue what is the best translation into any language, some would argue for the 1534 Luther translation into German. And since I speak a little German I can vouch for that translation as a good one. But it is just as crazy to say that translation is the only and best one as it is to say that of the KJV.

Lets just be honest about translations: they are done by men - let's not claim inspiration for any translation.

Of course anyone may disagree and you are allowed your opinion. But here is my opinion.

When I wrote: "God's holy preserved words are found all over the world in many translations and in many languages" I meant exactly that. Notice I did not say his "inspired" words. There is a difference between inspiration and preservation (at least how I define them).

No English translation is "inspired". Many English translations are reputable and do an excellent job at conveying well the original meaning of the original inspired manuscripts. There is no perfect English translation. I think we need ongoing and open discussion about what are the best English translations; and in my opinion the KJV still ranks as one of the best English translations.

Giving the KJV of 1611 the title of "inspired," in my opinion, is violating Revelation 22:18,19: "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
