I think you know that those in the streets will never have their way. People can be rioting and looting only for so long before society has had it with the uprising. Law enforcement will not step down.
My honest and serious concern is that we may well be headed to Civil War with the socialist liberals trying to destroy our Republic. The MORE our Government gives in, the MORE embolden they grow.

I honestly believe we are witnessing the seeds of destruction of the US being sown........... I thank God I will most likely not live to see it come true.

Things are going so out of control I just heard "Paw-Patrol" a cartoon that children enjoy on Nikelodeon might be taken off tv because there are pups that are dressed in a fire-men's outfit, (you guessed it) a police uniform n ENT uniform, and a few others they represent "heroes" that help others. I've got grandkids that watch this... Boy this is really OUT OF CONTROL. Taking children's cartoons away ????
I'm in agreement with p-reh. "seeds of destruction are being sown."

You are deceiving yourself.
We have the entire Dem. party supporting this tearing down of our country and the Rep. doing nothing to stop it.
Law enforcement is already stepping down in many cities and those who are standing their grown are being threatened with arrest and some have already been charged with a crime.
Sir, with all due respect. This is crap.

FIRST: George Floyd's death is a tragedy that screams for justice, and I know justice will come.
There is a lot of information which has not been disclosed regarding the relationship of Floyd and Chauvin. Apparently they had worked together as bouncers, and had a history of previous animosity. We do not know why someone else was not sent to apprehend Floyd (over a minor crime if indeed that is true), and it is rather puzzling that the other officers failed to pull Chauvin off Floyd and prevent this tragedy.

Then we have the DA making stupid premature statements about the case when it was not even properly investigated. Then we have a bogus autopsy report which was later contradicted by an independent report. Then we have Chauvin charged with third-degree murder when in fact it looked to be first-degree murder. Then we have Chauvin being released on bail when an obvious murder was committed. Then we have racist black Nation of Islam people at Floyd's funeral. And the list goes on and on with blunder after blunder.

Anyway, no amount of protests would change the fact that THIS INCIDENT WAS AN ANOMALY. It should never have resulted in riots. But there was a conspiracy cooking to bring anarchy and arson to the streets of America, and this is what it is all about.

The war on police has no basis whatsoever. Washington Post has been tracking police shootings since 2015, and the number of white suspects shot is almost double that of blacks! If anything whites should be screaming their heads off. And police shootings over the last five years have been rather consistent. About 1,000 each year. In a population of around 330 million, that is really insignificant. Also police do not shoot suspects just for the fun of it.

Decades of this type of thing happening in America still hasn't learned..
I would have to agree with you. Every lesson could have been learned DECADES AGO. But no lessons were learned, and there was no consistent policy of weeding out the rotten apples, and prosecuting those guilty of crimes.

Nonetheless there was no call for riots or even protests. This is all a Radical Leftist/Anarchist plot to destroy America, destroy Trump, destroy the Constitution, and destroy the rule of law. This has nothing to do with what one police officer did.

Amen and Amen !!!!!
Instead of making multiple double posts, one with no comment from you accompanying the quote, followed by another post with just your comment, you can edit the one that did not have your message (eh, what happened?). You have 5 minutes to edit a post after sending it through ;) Just make sure not to mess/erase any of the formatting code, specifically the quote tags :D Simply place your cursor in the message box following [ /quote] and type away :) The edit button is available on the lower left hand side of each of your posts.

I saw the picture of you and your wife from 57 years back, and the picture from what I assume is as of today. I’m so happy to see that y’all have been together for all these years. Congratulations, sir😀. It’s such a great pleasure to see a man and a woman honoring the Lord and each other like this.

Thank you.
All credit goes to my wife.
She lead me to Jesus, taught me how to read and study, and kept me on the right path.
I am the most blessed man on this earth.

I do not see what is happening now in the US and the rest of the world as being a race war between whites, blacks and other minorities. Instead, it is a struggle between darkness and light, between good and evil, and between a Christian worldview and secular world view.

As Christians, the Bible is clear we are all born sinners. And sin is evil! It comes from darkness. As Christians, we know the iniquity that dwells in people's hearts. That is our foundation. It is also the reason why Jesus had to come and die in our place. Because we could never make a sacrifice to atone for our sins. And the bloods of bulls is of no use, either!

This Christian worldview used to dominate North American and western nations. Everyone understood police were needed, because of the sin and evil in people's hearts. Christians can be led of the Holy Spirit, but even then we are walking towards sanctification and we can falter or even fail. Non-Christians may even understand their wicked hearts, (Although many don't!) and if it was not for the restraining forces of the police, or even the military, they would be looting in the streets. But most do not even believe in right vs wrong, so how can they understand their need for a Saviour, or how to be righteous?

In 1965, the neighbourhood called Watts in LA was burned down by angry rioters. I don't remember what triggered it, but much damage was done, and people were killed. Detroit's turn was 1967, when the town basically was set on fire. People I have talked to who lived there, said Detroit never recovered, (Unless you count the Muslims taking over!)

Today, we are a post Christian society. People have been taught that they deserve anything they want. They think wrong is not getting what they want, and right is being able to to go crazy, kill people and loot, riot and rape. These people are as far from a Christian world view as possible. At least, most knew there were good people/standards and the opposite was to do wrong back 50 years ago, although we had lots of criminals in those days, too.

I wandered onto an Antifa #BLM thread on Twitter today. The blindness in the posts was beyond comprehension. Thousands of posts talking how the first step against racism had been taken, by getting rid of the police. And how relieved everyone was that the police will be gone, so they can set up a just and equal society.

This was totally based on these people believing that humans were good and righteous, and would make the right choices, if they had their needs met. Someone even said when no one was poor, then society would be beautiful. Like rich people aren't sometimes the worst for breaking laws for their own gain. (Not saying all or even most rich people, but from insider trading to theft, money and power do not make you good.) In fact, money is the root of all evil, and power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I do not see how our countries can change. The majority of the next generation, educated by leftists and liberals, while their parents never taught them right from wrong, have twisted and perverse ideas as to what utopia on earth will be. They will be duped every time, by leftists, and people like Soros, who seems to have funded the money for all of this rioting. Their plan for the future has been fed to them by globalist/humanists, who believe in the good in humanity, and using it to get their ends.

There will be no freedom, no plenty, and lots of crime, murder, damage done if people do not recognize our basic sinful nature. If you are a Christian who thinks we are born good, then you have missed the boat in understanding the gospel.

Canada is no better, with our lying, stealing puppet Trudeau on his dictator throne. Lots of people in western Canada wanting to break away from eastern Canada, but unless people understand the basic evil in people, it is doomed for failure, too!

I do not believe in a rapture, but I do believe in the Second Coming of Christ. If he doesn't come soon, and our societies collapse, then it may take another civilization before we fulfill the commands of God to take the gospel to all the ethne, or nations. I think we all need to be praying constantly that people will return to God. I cannot see any other hope, as I daily read about things like #BLM taking over portions of Seattle who are already starving to death, because the poor stole their food. To say nothing of police and poor getting shot daily since this happened!

PS Christian dispensationalism is part of the problem here, as far as Christians are concerned. Everyone is standing around waiting for Jesus to take them away, instead of reaching the lost, as Jesus commanded us to do. The Rapture is a terrible doctrine, as it encourages people to bail out of society, and just worry about themselves and their families "flying away" and leaving the mess and all those lost people behind.

Yet countries who are mostly secular tend to have less violence and overall better quality of life

Yes, I remember them well. I miss them, too. We had excellent doctrinal and Biblical debates. The rules were stricter, too! No heretics allowed.

But, time moves forward. So, I try and make new friends, pick discussions I can contribute to, and support people on their spiritual journey. God always opens doors he wants me to go through.

You joined just after I did, I see. You've changed and grown. Thanks for the reminiscing! Good to stop and remember!!

I've always been a bit "outside the camps" I think more like up to about the way the apostolic fathers saw things so at times it seems as if I'm defending one of the camp's and then at times as if I'm attacking them. It seems to puzzle many I think that I agree to some things and then say something that the same camps would not say. It stems from who received the wound and was in the pit in Revelation 17:8 and the ones who set it back up in the modern days.
