but you just said that if one is not doing good works, then one is not saved.
If one does not have a changed life they show they are not a new creation through faith in Christ.

Trusting in Christ is the verb action that we do in response to the thing, the faith, that God gives us.
it seems that , as I have told you multiple times, you do not really think that belief in Christ is all it takes to be saved..
Trust in the blood of Christ all by itself justifies a person, apart from any merit of righteous works.
Works are required only in that they are the result of being justified in Christ apart from works.
No works means you aren't really justified in Christ.
That's how works have to be part of a genuine salvation.
They don't earn anything, they show the genuineness of one's salvation.
The absence of that evidence shows you do not have salvation by faith apart from works.
