If one does not have a changed life they show they are not a new creation through faith in Christ.
This is right out of 1 John.
Do you disagree with John?
I think you gave me the definition of the noun 'faith' (Hebrews 11:1).
Trusting in Christ is the verb action that we do in response to the thing, the faith, that God gives us.
Trust in the blood of Christ all by itself justifies a person, apart from any merit of righteous works.
Works are required only in that they are the result of being justified in Christ apart from works.
No works means you aren't really justified in Christ.
That's how works have to be part of a genuine salvation.
They don't earn anything, they show the genuineness of one's salvation.
The absence of that evidence shows you do not have salvation by faith apart from works.

i gave you the def. of that word.
and that word has nothing to do with works.
and here is for you evidence- the trees in my yard that have been full of lush green leaves for weeks will produce nothing.
the pecan tree that will produce something is just now getting full sized leaves on it.
so, based on your junk religion that you push, i should have been tying blue ribbons on the trees that looked like they were working well, and cut down the one that was not producing well.
which would have been 100% wrong.
just as judging salvation by outward appearance is 100% wrong.
