How many times do you have to beleive Christ died and was buried and rose on the 3rd day? (according to scripture)
Amen...his idiocy is exposed evetytime he peddles that He must maintain his faith to stay saved.....this view absolutely DENIES Jesus FINISHING AND COMPLETING the work of faith HE BEGINS IN US.....
His self maintained faith is not only void of God, it reeks of evil, denies Jesus, the power/promises of Jesus, the word of God and is contrary to the truth...!

Moving to something cheerful ... taking a break from the naysayers.
I saw a Bluebird, a Cardinal and some Finches in the park yesterday while on my run.
And that cat is mighty cute too!!
According to him....HE must maintain that which JESUS WILL FINISH AND COMPLETE in us...His view absolutely denies Christ!

When you put like this ... I really see it .... it is so true the "denial."
No, the convincing comes from God.
My responsibility is to then trust in what God has convinced me is true.
I just want to know how/why my trust in God in response to his gift of faith--his gift of convincing--is me trying to save myself by works.
Can anyone explain this to me?
I would think you would want to make sure everyone knows the real way to be saved.
So you're saying I can go back to unbelief and I'm still saved?

According to the Bible, I must continue to believe in that which saves me to be saved by that which saves me.
but you just said that if one is not doing good works, then one is not saved.
I gave you the definition of the word believe. you seeded to reject it.

I think you gave me the definition of the noun 'faith' (Hebrews 11:1).
Trusting in Christ is the verb action that we do in response to the thing, the faith, that God gives us.
Trust in the blood of Christ all by itself justifies a person, apart from any merit of righteous works.
Works are required only in that they are the result of being justified in Christ apart from works.
No works means you aren't really justified in Christ.
That's how works have to be part of a genuine salvation.
They don't earn anything, they show the genuineness of one's salvation.
The absence of that evidence shows you do not have salvation by faith apart from works.
The bible does not teach that drivel....JESUS finishes and completes it....not you deceiver!
And IF WE BELIVE NOT HE ABIDES FAITHFUL BECAUSE HE CANNOT DENY HIMSELF
