SpiritDone05. "he sends them 2 hell 4 wat they could have avoided, " This is not true. Its a lie. That lie is also a sin. Saying its true because you personally believe it.. does not make it true.

See I read that the books were open.. what is He looking for? And we must take all the word. No where in the word of God is anyone ever taken out of the LAMBS book of life. Hmm NOT saying we can freely sin lol.

Yet.. lets look at one fact that you left out. No where did you say "For God so love the world He gave His only son. That who so ever believes in Him shall not die but have ever lasting life. For God did not send His son to condemn the world but to say it"

Jesus said .. HE is the way the truth and the life. That no man comes to the Father but through Him. No where does it say .. you have to be never sinning have no sin.. or you won't enter. Says NO SIN will enter heaven. How can that be if we all have sin.. hmm HELLO JESUS! Says we all have sin. Says.. all have sinned fallen short.. no one is righteous not one. Your missing what He was saying. He was not saying STOP SINNING or you will not go to heaven.

You leave out " I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. 21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. "

Show me where HE talked about SIN? To focus on the SIN.. your not focused on HIM. It has to be ALL HIM! Never ever us. So you stop sinning.. your still lost for ever. He already DIED for the SIN of the world. WHY are you righteous? HOW do you get that righteousness? YES! THATS the answer. God is a God of FAITH. Its DONE for Him. We ARE not going to be.. we ARE the righteousness of God. Its because we believe in JESUS. How can Paul say we are seated in heavenly places if we all still have sin? How can we BOLDLY come before Him if we all still have sin? THROUGH what Christ has done. GOD is faithful to what CHRIST has ALREADY done.

But.. I do agree.. we ALL do not have to freely sin nor do we have to sin. But KNOW how GOD sees you. There is no condemnation to then in Christ Jesus

Seed_time,

There are fleshly and earthly things you will get rewarded for openly (MATTHEW 5:11-12; 6:1-27).

However, Evil, sinful deeds done in the flesh will get a reward too, it is called, the reward of unrighteousness, to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever. (2 PETER 2:13, 17).
I’m not talking about things you will get rewarded for, here on earth.I’m talking about rewards at the judgement seat of CHRIST.

John 6:63
king James Version

63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Seed_time,

I have heard that the Judgement Seat of Christ is for the judging of believers based on their works, either to obtain or lose rewards.

I do not see that in scripture.

Here's the scripture regarding this Judgment Seat:

2 CORINTHIANS 5:9-11

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent [with the Lord], we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men...

Notice that the purpose of us appearing here is to be ACCEPTED of him, not receive rewards of him. Furthermore, loosing a reward because I kept sinning (no matter the frequency), but still being able to enter into heaven, would not TERRIFY me. Not being able to enter into heaven and being told by the Lord, I never know you, would be TERRIBLE.

Notice also that Paul says, Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord we PERSUADE men. Are we to believe that he was persuading men so that they would not lose rewards?

When you look at what Paul was doing as recorded in the book of Acts, he was PERSUADING men to be saved!

Acts 18:4 "And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks."

Acts 18:13 "This fellow [Paul] persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law."

Acts 19:26 "this Paul has persuaded and turned away much people."

Acts 26:28 "Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadeth me to be a Christian."

You will not find a scripture where it says Paul persuaded anyone not to lose rewards in heaven.

Think about it.

Let us know when you stop sinning, are perfect, complete and have become Jesus Christ.
Those who believe they live a sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolute perfect life 100% of the time (exactly as Jesus lived) are suffering from a terminal case of self righteousness. (1 John 1:8-10)

Something to consider: What if Adam and Eve HAD obeyed God and NOT eaten from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Do we even know whether God would have maintained that prohibition, or if He would have told humanity at some later point, "It's OK; you may eat from this tree now"? In other words, it's not a question of whether mankind WOULD sin at all, but rather WHEN.

Sin is defined in the Scriptures as both doing what is expressly wrong and NOT doing what is right. So even if we could stop doing the WRONG things, does it necessarily follow that we would always do the RIGHT things? We would still be sinners. Because as James said (paraphrase), it is sin to know what is right to do and to not do it.

mailman,

What would be more believable, that a man can stop willful sin?

Or that a man could walk on water?

"And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried...Lord, save me." And Jesus responded, "O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?" MATTHEW 14:29-31.

It seems many simply do not believe you can stop willfully sinning. But it is possible.

"If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." MARK 9:23.

Remember, Christ was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. He felt the same weakness of the flesh as we do, yet without sin. (HEBREWS 4:15).

Sin is defined in the Scriptures as both doing what is expressly wrong and NOT doing what is right.
When Paul wrote in the letter to the Romans the following (13:8-10):

"He that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly summed up in this saying, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself...Love is the fulfilling of the law."

The implication is that through love of your neighbors you will not sin against them. And everyone is your neighbor (LUKE 10:29-37).

As for sinning against God; "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee" (PSALM 119:11).

And when you love God you will keep his commandments (JOHN 14:15).

it is sin to know what is right to do and to not do it.
That would fall under willful sin. Something done in ignorance still can be rectified with the Lord through repentance (once you get knowledge of it).

Sinning in ignorance is not what one stops doing. But as you grow in knowledge these sins will lessen. Willful sin should end because you KNOW you are about to sin against God. And woe unto you if you go through with it.

However, a believer should grow in the knowledge of the truth (1 PETER 2:2; 2 PETER 3:18) and through repeated use of the scripture (reading/hearing it) have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (HEBREWS 5:13-14).

Are you stating you do not sin?
No.

However, I do not willfully sin against the Lord. If I have committed a sin in ignorance, then I pray God to bring it to my mind so that I will not do it again.

You hit the mark perfectly every time?
Only when it comes to willful sin. I do not do that. God forbid that I should knowingly offend my Lord and my God.

No one that I know condones willful sinning. But understanding the full scope of what sin is, requires understanding the “Absolute” Holiness of God. The 10 commandments and all the others ever mentioned speak to the “Standard” that God uses, for Himself and others. To fall short of that in any point, no matter how minute, is sin.

For anyone to think that they can be 100% sinless 24 hours a day, for their entire lives tells me that have yet to understand God’s standard, and His solution for our sins.

This is a sensitive topic.

I don't know where everyone is with the Lord, if you're weak or strong in him.

Do not let my words influence you (as many will not, good for them), get a steady and constant dose of scripture and settle your conscience with God out of the Bible concerning this issue (and all issues). But be sure to stay firmly in scripture. After you've read the Bible, read it again, and again, and again. Never stop. Do not dismiss those passages that cause you to question what you have believed to be true. Let the scripture be your potter, let it form you; and if necessary, break you again and reform you again.

Never try to mold scripture into what is agreeable to your senses.

The warning of these scriptures should be sobering:

PSALM 81:11 "But my people would not hearken to my voice...So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels."

2 TIMOTHY 4:3-4 "After their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth..."

All praise to God through Jesus Christ!

There is no christian journey if you have not reached the end point first.

In my end is my beginning.
Ephesians 2:6-7
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Is this what you were talking about?

Its what came to mind when I read your post.

This is from James 2:6-10.

The very reason they committed this sin was because they were not fulfilling the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. And fulfilling to royal law will prevent you from offending in all points of the law (Romans 13:10).

Somewhat.
Saved is an end point...forever secure.
We are saved when we have come to the end of ourselves, died to self and raised to new life in Jesus (born from above).
The journey only begins after the end point in this world.

Some think the end point is the result of the journey...that is wrong.

Everyone who sins or has a sin problem and asks Jesus for help please raise your hands.👏
They can’t raise their hands. They already chopped them off for causing them to sin!

Prolly got no eyes left neither!

Sad how many blind people peddle such a weak and powerless message that attempts to belittle our Lord and Savior to just some prerequisite to salvation opposed to our only Hope and unshakable foundation.

God say’s in Deu 30:11 my commandments are not far from you!! The Hebrew meaning for “not far from you” means its not beyond your ability.

1 corinth 10:13 you will not be tempted above ur measure but rather God will always give you an escape so u can bear it.

God doesn’t command the impossible, our moral obligations never exceed our abilities. God doesn’t send people 2 hell 4 wat they couldn’t avoid, he sends them 2 hell 4 wat they could have avoided, God knows the intents of the heart jeremiah 17:10 2 chron 28:9 he knows all the thoughts and imaginations of man, so he knows wat your capable of.

After all it would be unfair and unjust 2 send people 2 hell for the unavoidable. Phil 4:13 I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me!! Cant jesus give you the power 2 stop sinning if u learn on him.

Matt 11:28-30 come 2 me you who are heavy laden and I’ll give u rest, my yoke is easy and my burden is light!!

Also wat situations are u putting urslef in that’s causing u 2 sin? Bible says 2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

If something or someone is causing u 2 sin come out from among them or it, why create a stumbling block 4 urslef rom 9:30-33

What sin is so strong dat u cant fight off!! Doesn’t the bible say in Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Luke 21:36 pray dat you can escape the snares of dis world!! Wont God answer the prayers of those who seek him early proverbs 8:7 and pray continually 2 him Ephesians 6:18.

Isn’t the spirit willing but the flesh weak matt 26:41 and doesn’t it say if you walk in the spirit u wont fulfil the lusts of the flesh gal 5:16

Canal nature 1 pet 2:24

Well, that takes care of that one. Loading up again and heading over to the "Oneness" Jesus isn't God thread. Dirty job but someone's gotta do it.

Do not let my words influence you

They couldn't if I wanted them to.

God has long since delivered me from what you seem to be selling.

Your performance, will not help in your salvation.

It is Jesus's righteousness which will justify you. Or your righteousness which will fall short.

His comes by grace through faith. Appart from any merit, it is undeserved favor by His mercy.

A gift, not prize or reward.

None of your members will offend you if you walk in love (a fruit of the Spirit). And not obey the desires of the flesh and of the mind (EPHESIANS 2:3).

"And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ." (PHILIPPIANS 1:9-10).

Again, love is the key to fulfilling the law for the believer (ROMANS 13:10).

We need to press toward the mark for the prize, suffer the loss of all things, and not walk as though we have attained unto the resurrection of the dead (PHILIPPIANS 3:11, 14).
