Seed_time,
I have heard that the Judgement Seat of Christ is for the judging of believers based on their works, either to obtain or lose rewards.
I do not see that in scripture.
Here's the scripture regarding this Judgment Seat:
2 CORINTHIANS 5:9-11
Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent [with the Lord], we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men...
Notice that the purpose of us appearing here is to be ACCEPTED of him, not receive rewards of him. Furthermore, loosing a reward because I kept sinning (no matter the frequency), but still being able to enter into heaven, would not TERRIFY me. Not being able to enter into heaven and being told by the Lord, I never know you, would be TERRIBLE.
Notice also that Paul says, Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord we PERSUADE men. Are we to believe that he was persuading men so that they would not lose rewards?
When you look at what Paul was doing as recorded in the book of Acts, he was PERSUADING men to be saved!
Acts 18:4 "And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks."
Acts 18:13 "This fellow [Paul] persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law."
Acts 19:26 "this Paul has persuaded and turned away much people."
Acts 26:28 "Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadeth me to be a Christian."
You will not find a scripture where it says Paul persuaded anyone not to lose rewards in heaven.
Think about it.
