What you need to understand, is that I am not speaking off the cuff of my sleeve. This information comes from many years of studying these Biblical subjects. I use all of the related scriptures when I teach, which is who I came to my conclusions.
I think I've read this before in other topic, using this does not prove you are right...there are tv evangelists that are known to study for years, yet they differ in understanding (like pretrib vs post trib, trinity vs oneness, Christ Man vs Christ God) these topics were defended by both those who have years of study...so I suggest just response to any topic you are commenting without using your years of study, just proved by scriptures your maturity in His words.
Sin is sin! Whether someone lies or someone murders. And as king David proclaimed to God after he committed adultery and murder against Uriah, 'against you alone have I sinned.'
All of the unrighteous dead will be resurrected, their spirits coming out of Hades and will stand before God to be judged at the great white throne judgment which takes place after the millennial kingdom. The books of that contain all of their deeds in the flesh will be opened and they will be judged for every idle word they ever spoke. Anyone whose name does not appear in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire. (Rev.20:11-15)
Regarding Matthew 18:34
"Then the master summoned him and declared, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave all your debt because you begged me. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had on you?’ In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should repay all that he owed.
I am certain that you quoted this to show that by saying 'until he should repay all that he owed' as meaning that there will be an end to his payment. There isn't!
The only payment for sin is through the shed blood of Christ. When a person dies rejecting Christ, there is no more sacrifice for salvation. Since there is no blood for the payment of the those in the lake of fire, then their sentence is eternal. There's would be no way to obtain payment. The scripture above does not infer that there will be a time when the payment will be made in full. For the wages of sin is death (completely cut off, complete loss of well being, ruination." Therefore, the punishment for sin against the eternal God is eternal torment in the lake of fire.
Annihilation or extinction is a false teaching that has crept into the church.
Sin is Sin:
Biblical history even in the law of Moses, shows a different punishment for sin committed... Like stoning, Burning alive..payment..
like this one:
Deu 22:28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
Deu 22:29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
God gave righteous judgement (justice, vengeance, mercy, forgiveness)
Wages of sin is death..
The beginning shows it...Adam sin..and thus death came...its the wage of sin.
Matthew 18
The servant owed 10,000 talents:
If the servant paid the king 10,000, talents. then he owed the king nothing.
However, the servant do not have something to pay the king beg and promise him to pay in full.
The king forgave him but the servant did not forgave others but demand payment.
Now, the King was angry and cast the servant to the tormentor to paid his debt due.
Christ paid the penalty of sin.
Those who do not have Christ will have to pay what is due to him.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged
every man according to their works.
If the basis of judgement is just one sin...No for god to judge them according to their works.
I think the gravity of a person sin (according to their works) will also determine the long of his stay in the lake of fire... A fair and merciful judgement,
