Exodus 20, God tells Israel remember the sabbath day keep it holy. Question, what was the commandment? If it was to remember and keep holy, this would imply that sometime prior to Exodus 20 these commandment were given, the question is to who?
The word "Sabbath" first appears in Exodus 16:23 - Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord has said: ‘Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. Bake what you will bake today, and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.

Do you know that the Scriptures tell us that Abraham kept all God's charges, ordinances, statures, laws and commandments? I believe God gave them to them verbally, this on tablets of stones, and now stored in our minds and written in our hearts.
Can you prove from scripture that God gave Abraham the 10 commandments before He gave them too Moses? *Now if every man from Adam to Moses kept the Sabbath, why is the Hebrew word for the weekly Sabbath found in the Ten Commandments, never found in the book of Genesis? *Why is no one before Moses ever being told to keep the Sabbath? *Why are there no examples of anyone keeping the Sabbath before Moses? *Why were the Patriarchs never instructed about the Sabbath, but were instructed regarding: offerings: Genesis 4:3-4, Altars Genesis 8:20, Priests: Genesis 14:18, Tithes: Genesis 14:20, Circumcision: Genesis 17:10. Marriage: Genesis 2:24, and Genesis 34:9. *Why would God leave out the Sabbath command in Genesis if it was for everyone to keep before Moses?

Gentile believers always throw the same line that it was between God and Israel.
So you disagree with Exodus 31:16-17 and Deuteronomy 5:15?

Question, aren't you part of the commonwealth of Israel or you would hesitate to respond? Remember, Israel does not become part of the commonwealth of the Gentiles, is the other way around, but one in Yeshua.
I am not under the law, under the old covenant, yet under the new covenant, Jews and Gentiles alike have been baptized by one Spirit into one body, the body of Christ.

Gentile always tied up all the laws together, we are talking about the Ten Commandment. Question, are the Ten Commandment done away with for you or you will keep 9 and do away with the Sabbath day?
2 Corinthians 3:6 - who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.

References for principles of 9 of the 10 commandments are reiterated under the new covenant, yet the command to keep the Sabbath day is not binding on Christians under the new covenant.

1. You shall have no other gods before Me. - Acts 14:15
2. You shall make no idols. - 1 John 5:21
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. - 1 Timothy 6:1; James 2:7; James 5:12
4. Keep the Sabbath day holy. - Not binding on the Church - Colossians 2:16-17
5. Honor your father and your mother. - Ephesians 6:1-2
6. You shall not murder. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 John 3:15
7. You shall not commit adultery. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
8. You shall not steal. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 4:28
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. - Romans 13:9-10; Colossians 3:9-10
10. You shall not covet. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 5:3

Again, remember and keep holy, who were they given to in the past?
Israel. If Sabbath day observances are still required, so would the burnt offerings which went along with them (Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3; Numbers 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13). So no kindling a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath (Exodus 35:3). Every man must remain in his place on the sabbath (Exodus 16:29). No trading (Amos 8:5). No marketing (Nehemiah 10:31; 13:15,19).

These were commanded by God to Israel (Exodus 35:1).

If the Sabbath day is still in affect, then why do not the Sabbatarians seek to obey ALL that the LORD commanded? How can a person keep a certain law when he keeps only part of it? If the Sabbath day laws were still in effect today, then according to Exodus 31:12-18; 35:1-3; and Numbers 15:32-36, anyone who profaned the Sabbath was put to death and any person who does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from his people.

Now who is going to enforce that? The Jewish synagogue? The Government? Since we do not live under a theocratic state as Israel did under the old covenant, no Sabbatarian today can live consistently under these Mosaic regulations.

Let me make this clear one is save by grace alone, through faith apart from the Law, the law (Ten Commandments) has nothing to do with the gift of God, but all to do with obedience to God.
At least you are heading in the right direction here.

Questions, is committing adultery a sin? Is stealing a sin? Is murdering a sin? Is bearing false witness a sin? Is dishonoring your parents a sin? Is covet a sin? Is making images of gods a sins? Is bowing down to images a sin? If you answer yes to all of them then you are refraining from sin, which means that you are keeping 9 commandments and your issue is with the Sabbath day, you do not want to keep the one day God specifically sanctified and said to remember and keep holy. Unless you believe it was given to Israel.
Committing adultery, sealing, murder, bearing false witness, dishonoring your parents, coveting, making images of gods and bowing down to them is still sin. Show me under the new covenant where failing to keep the Sabbath day (with all it's rules and regulations from the old covenant) is sin?

Let me use your argument... you stated the Sabbath day was between God and Israel, my question to you... wasn't the Ten Commandment between God and Israel? Your argument is WEAK!
My argument is not weak at all. See Exodus 31:16-17 and Deuteronomy 5:15. The 10 commandments (with all the rules and regulations, including death penalties for breaking certain laws) was given to Israel under the old covenant. Just because 9 out of the 10 commandments are reiterated under the new covenant does not mean that believers are under the 10 commandments from the old covenant (with all the rules and regulations, including death penalties for breaking certain laws).

I will not impose the Sabbath day on the Gentiles, but I believe in their relationship with God in Yeshua, the Spirit of God will enlighten their mind with the truth of God's word, what God made clear when he first spoke, but the problem is that many Gentiles have been impressed with teachings of man which is why it is hard for them to see this truth of God's word.
I believe that people with your logic are having a very difficult time making the complete transition from the old covenant into the new covenant.

Hebrews 4:2-3
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Hebrews 4:10-11
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
This is telling me to quit doing my work & do HIS work on the SABBATH , like GOD quit working on creation & rested from HIS work . GOD BLESS AS HE SEES FIT .

Answer: Nothing.

If you are Christs then you have been given Rest.

Galatians 3:2-3
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Galatians 3:24-25
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

This is telling you that you will do His Work 7 days a week and will not work at your own "righteousness" on saturdays.

Colossians 2:16-17
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

The Sabbath day was a lesson to those without Wisdom. But they still can't get it. Same thing with clean/unclean meats and holydays.

This is why legalists and judaizers CAN'T understand the difference between the shadow and the light;

2 Corinthians 3:14-16
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

You can't receive rest if you don't believe it can even be given.

Hebrews 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Legalists and Judaizers read the Old Testament and think "This is what we ALWAYS have to work at, without exception"

When someone says "Until we come to Christ and receive Rest" they can't understand. They have a vail over their hearts and minds because they have not been to Christ to receive this Rest.

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

When did this happen?

Galatians 3:23-25
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

The Law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. But if you think your work at it causes your own obedience (righteousness) then it hasn't done its job. The vail remains. You won't enter into Rest (the land) because of unbelief.

Galatians 3:11-12
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

You'd think that with simple reading comprehension skills they would get it. But it just pounds the point home that without Christ we can do nothing. Not even understand the simplicity that is in scriptures.

Read Genesis 26:5... because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. What commandments were they, what laws were they? What statutes were they? What charges were they?

You don't know what is the new covenant!

I would respond to you, but you will have to go back to all my past post, I responded to all what you wrote to the other people and I am tired are repeating myself, you have inclined to the teaching of men. No one verse can you give me saying that the Sabbath have been removed.

The one day God sanctified to remember and keep holy, satan has replaced it with one day Sunday and many have fallen into his deceptions. In the Scriptures, the Sabbath day was still being held. Question... If the Sabbath day is done away with why did Yeshua continue to hold it?

Yeshua stated... Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Didn't he say this while he was on earth, if so, why did he continue to hold it and the rest of the people?

Nowhere in the Scriptures does it say that God done away with the Sabbath day. The Scriptures clearly states that God does not alter nor change his covenant.

How can you be spiritual Without the LAW ???? TO be Spiritual is to obey the LAWs . ROMENS 2: 13 For not the hearers of the law are just before GOD, But the doers of the law shall be justified , Galatians 2:17 But if , while we seek to be justified by CHRIST , we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore CHRIST the minister of sin???? For if I build again the things which I destoroyed, I make myself a transgressor .

------------
The believers life is not about being spiritual, it is about walking and having a relationship with God in Yeshua, and being obedient to his word.

Most people believe Sabbath is Saturday, and I think I read Romans changed it to Sunday, can't find many local churches worshiping on Saturdays
Well I here that there are a few Baptist still keeping the SABBATH & afew Church'of GOD. Mostly seveneth- day Adventist I am seveneth day Adventist , & I have been learning things that we need to know for the last day , & I have enjoyed it to . I grew up a Baptist , But I prayed for knowledge one night , & the next morning I meet some S.D.A. They told about the SABBATH , I told them that I would haft to check it out , I did & found it's the truth ,with out a doubt ,it is truth .But the BIBLE tells us that he will deceived the whole world . But what JESUS gives us we haft to obey , THAT is our faith to stand on GODs WORD , GOD BLESS.

There is nothing in the BIBLE THAt tells us to keep sunday at all ' sunday comes from the Catholic Church , And the bIBLE tells Us that The antichrist would try to dhange times & laws & the SABBATH is the only Law of GODs commandments that's got to do with time . Trust in GOD &keep his SABBATH HOLY As HE tells too.GOD BLESS as HE sees FIT for you.

Read up more on the 7th day Advertist, they have bad doctrines. But I do agree with you the Sabbath day is Saturday and should be remembered and kept holy.
