Hi Ruby, non of us have claimed to believe in works alone for salvation. So please dont believe these assumptions from others. But you need faith that produces good works. And that faith will save you.
Faith plus works for is just as false.......and her quote had nothing to do with you or what you peddle

I got a red x too. My first one! and it was just a question?
Yeah......we deal with some very dishonest people.....and or people that for some reason like to devalue JESUS, his work, power, promises and then state clearly that he is INEPT and NEEDS assistance is doing what he said he would do.......

No wonder the number is called MANY that come before his throne claiming him as LORD and their right to enter based upon what they have done and NOT what HE HAS DONE.........

The word MANY = PLENTEOUS in number....

Thanks for your reply. I asked this question because I need healing to my knee and at church everybody says your knee is already healed it is because you lack in faith that it hasn't manifested yet. It is due to your unbelief. So I go into this frenzy of trying to build up my faith. So I am trying to find out whether faith comes from God or through our own works. I don't know if that makes sense or not ?
Hi Ruby.

FAITH IS-

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things (not seen).
Faith without works is dead. A work is something that needs to be done to obey God. E.g love your brother. If we love him we will keep his commandments. One of his commandments is to love our brothers and sisters.

Works in James are not works of self righteousness. They are commands God expects us to follow if we love him.

James 2:14-26
What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. ...

Dont worry Ruby. We have all had testings of our faith. But sometimes some things remain, but it doesn't mean we lack faith. Paul was given a thorn in the flesh, but it wasnt removed why? Because Gods Grace is sufficient for us, his power is made perfect in weakness. Sometimes healing may not be the way we expect or sometimes our afflictions are left. It may be a test from God or it may be a way to build our character. Suffering produces perseverance and perseverance character. So in our sufferings we are building character. Its not always "Unbelief" but it can be a way of strengthening us. Helping us to be patient in affliction. Helping us to develop fruits of the spirit;)

Let Ruby decide. ;). We all learn through our lives through experience.
Let me tell you one thing.....I will oppose tooth and nail what you peddle.......You do not have the truth......and if you think I will sit idly by while you lead people astray....not happening.....EVER.....the last half is OK.....but blending James with HEBREWS is not right

The red cross was not for the question, but for this
"Where it says and that not of yourselves but is a gift of God and not of works. Is it referring to the faith or grace being not of ourselves?"

Our faith is personal, in other words, "of ourselves."

Now that is two mistakes you have made in two posts.100% fail.

Matthew 18:21-35 does not show that at all.

The master was not in anyway constrained "to forgive no matter what".

and

The master only forgave once and then revoked his forgiveness.
21 Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus *said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.
