Making the Bible into a God? No, but the Bible is God's word. Asking someone if they believe in the Trinity and if they believe that Jesus is God is a dumb question? Are you serious?
He has
not posted a YES or NO answer to my simple questions, yet you will still defend him regardless.
I could ask you the same question.
Listening to every word of the Bible is listening to God because the Bible is inspired by God.
In context, Paul mentions "prize" in verse 24, so is that really adding to scripture? The NIV is a thought for thought translation. Is salvation a gift (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8) or a prize?
A
prize is not the gift of eternal life, so it does not refer to salvation.
What is the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus? In the process of ongoing sanctification, we are reaching to what lies ahead and we press on to be become mature in Christ. Paul was already saved and in Christ and was not reaching forward to obtain salvation.
Paul presses on toward the goal to win the prize, just as an Olympian presses on toward the goal to win the prize of the gold medal in the Olympics.
In context (vs. 25) Paul mentions an imperishable crown.
The Bible mentions multiple crowns in scripture. - https://www.gotquestions.org/heavenly-crowns.html
God has promised believers eternal life (John 3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:40,47; 11:25,26; 1 John 5:13).
In the ultimate sense in regards to everything, yes. Only God fully knows the hearts of men.
