There's around a 100 verses proving predestination, I thought you believed the Bible. Of' course we need to be saved, go read your Bible!

Predestined for purpose not predestined for salvation.

There is no other verse in the bible, that will somehow disprove that the lost need salvation.

S....,

Such a mistake.

We each are responsible for applying G-d's word in our individual life. No one else can be blamed.

A pastor, Church which teaches new age religion stuff...OSAS....baptism not necessary, etc.,....... which has evolved out of the 1960's social and moral revolution, should be avoided at all costs. They are great deceptions.
In Matthew 3:2 John the Baptist said "repent ye and believe the Gospel", no mention of Baptism, also Paul said for Christ sent me not to baptize, so water baptism is NOT part of salvation, baptismal regeneration is Catholic doctrine.

Lol. That’s funny!

For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.” 2 Peter 2:20-22

JPT
Yeah, they are dogs and sows, not sheep, so they are not saved. Mere knowledge does not save you. They may have believed but did not count the cost

I’m fully aware of what the parable of the wheat and tares teaches.

This scripture does not say false brother.

You added that to God’s word.

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

When we sin against our brother we are hating him.

This is the definition of love.

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
1 John 5:3

again

For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:9-10

This is what Christ taught us.

Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 2 John 9

JPT
Well, 1 John 3:6 and 3 John 11 do refer without a doubt to someone who was NEVER saved.

Again, do you believe that a true Christian who bears false witness against another Christian instantly dies spiritually? Yes or no?

But I 100 %ly agree that if we are saved we will keep the commandments.

I believe in sinless perfection.

Predestined for purpose not predestined for salvation.

There is no other verse in the bible, that will somehow disprove that the lost need salvation.

Amen, Calvinism is wicked.

Counting the cost does not save you either.

That's not that wrong, but did Jesus not say "whosoever does not forsake all, cannot be my disciple"? I believe the Gospels apply to us too.

Have you forsaken all?

Ok, so what else is required besides believing?

JPT
What do you suppose to add?

You need to believe that you are saved by grace to be saved by grace. Jesus paid it all and all you can do is believe it.

I believe the Lord gives a person a chance to repent and confess their sin to be forgiven their sin.

And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
Luke 17:4

And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Revelation 2:21

again

“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, Ephesians 4:26

Based on these scriptures I don't believe we "die instantly spiritually" if we sin.

I don't supposed to add anything.

I was responding to LW97's post that claimed the example given in Peter's teaching were not saved.

Here is the scripture from Peter I quoted, to which LW97 claimed the people in the example Peter gave were never saved.

  • Peter plainly states these people were "cleansed" (from their sins) but returned to the filth of sin.

  • Peter plainly states these people escaped the corruption of the world, but were "entangled again".

Living faith. Faith is the direct result of believing in grace, works is the direct result of LIVING faith.
You cannot separate grace, faith, and works.

James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

That truly describes many who profess to know Christ in this age. Do you believe that these are still saved even though they are entangled in the corruptions of the world?

Is there an application of this behavior to be seen in the diversity of doctrines that a highly suspect and rely on weak knowledge of the scriptures?

We must use care not to judge too quickly. There may be fruit only the Lord can see or there may be fruit in the future that we know nothing about. We should examine our fruit more than we examine the fruit of others.

Thanks for the information, brother. Yet, I believe, like 3 John 11 says, that, if you go around sinning, you did not lose salvation, you were never saved.

That truly describes many who profess to know Christ in this age. Do you believe that these are still saved even though they are entangled in the corruptions of the world?

Is there an application of this behavior to be seen in the diversity of doctrines that a highly suspect and rely on weak knowledge of the scriptures?

Amen, men who PROFESS to know Christ but deny him in their works (Titus 1:16).
