Do you agree with Ralph when he states (red mine):
It appears to me that Ralph is saying God will deny a person who wants to repent.
The one who wanders away and becomes lost due to immoral living must repent, and return to God in humility to be restored.
However the one who renounces Christ as Messiah and Lord, departing from Him to serve other gods or religions has put Christ to an open shame, in which after being enlightened by the Spirit and tasted the power of the age to come, can no longer be brought to repentance.
12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you
an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end,
Hebrews 3:12-14
The context that Jesus and Paul referred to in this teaching, refers to Jews who were being persecuted by unbelieving Jews to turn these believers back to Judaism.
13 But the ones on the rock
are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. Luke 8:13
Hebrews 3:12-14 and Luke 8:13 are teaching the exact same thing.
Judaism claims Jesus is a false prophet and denies Him as Christ.
Another example might be Islam.
The most widely known example of this is turning away from Christ to take the mark of the beast and worship him as God.
