Yeah right. You have made it crystal clear you teach salvation by works, which explains your obsession with promoting NOSAS.

You continue to read the Bible through the lens of works salvation and you also continue to confuse DESCRIPTIVE passages of Scripture with PRESCRIPTIVE passages of Scripture. The good deeds of the redeemed (those who have done good) are not the basis of their salvation but the evidence of it. A person's conduct, whether good or evil, reveals the condition of his heart.

Doing good flows inescapably from a heart that is saved and doing evil flows equally inescapably from a heart that is unsaved, as we already saw in Romans 2:6-10. Notice that ALL who come forth unto the resurrection of life (believers - vs. 24) are described as those who have done good and ALL that come forth unto the resurrection of damnation (unbelievers) are described as those who have done evil.

What did Jesus say in John 3:18? - He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already..

Are believers described as "those who have done good" or those who have done evil?"

Are unbelievers described as those "who have done evil" or "those who have done good?"

Typical straw man argument. Jesus is also not an insufficient Savior. There will be many people who called Jesus 'Lord' (yet trusted in their works for salvation) who will find out the hard way on that day that they did not do the will of the Father (Matthew 7:21-23; John 6:40).
Trusting in works for salvation (AND NOT IN CHRIST ALONE) is not obeying Him.
Your's is the straw man. Trying to reframe the discussion with the false characterization that obedience to the lord is trusting in works for salvation.

Again, your true colors are really showing. Apparently, you interpret "justified by works" to mean saved by works. James 2:14-24 has to be some of the most misunderstand verses in the Bible and are a favorite of works-salvationists.

James is not using the word "justified" here to mean "accounted as righteous" but is "shown to be righteous." James is discussing the proof/evidence of faith (says-claims to have faith but has no works/I will show you my faith by my works - James 2:14-18), not the initial act of being accounted as righteous with God (Romans 4:2-3). Works bear out the justification that already came by faith.
No I interpret justified by works to mean what James, so plainly says it means, Abraham was justified when he obeyed God by offering his son Issac on the altar, just exactly as God commanded him to do.

Likewise this same principle of obedience was demonstrated when Abraham obeyed God and was justified when got out from his fathers house and left his old life to follow the Lord, typtifying for us the obedience of faith concerning the Gospel.


By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. Hebrews 11:8


And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” Galatians 3:8


Notice it says “by faith” here in verse 8.
By faith involves his action of obedience to God’s command to get out and go.

Hebrews 11:8 says of this same incident that by faith Abraham obeyed, when he was called to go out.

God gave Abraham a promise, and a condition To receiving the promise is the obedience of faith.

Now the Lord had said to Abram:

“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.

This is the Gospel that Jesus sent His Apostles to preach.

In James 2:14, we read of one who says/claims he has faith but has no works (to validate his claim). That is not genuine faith, but a bare profession of faith. So when James asks, "Can that faith save him?" he is saying nothing against genuine faith, but only against an empty profession of faith/dead faith. *So James does not teach that we are saved "by" works. His concern is to show the reality of the faith professed by the individual (James 2:18) and demonstrate that the faith claimed (James 2:14) by the individual is genuine. Simple!

In James 2:20, "faith without works is dead" does not mean that faith is dead until it produces works and then it becomes a living faith or that works are the source of life in faith. That's like saying a tree is dead until it produces fruit and then it becomes a living tree and the fruit is the source of life in the tree. James is simply saying faith that is not accompanied by evidential works is dead. It DEMONSTRATES that it's dead. If someone says-claims he has faith but lacks resulting evidential works, then he has an empty profession of faith/dead faith and not authentic faith.

No need to explain away what James says with your false interpretation.


Just read what the scripture actually says.

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? James 2:21-22

Faith is made complete with the work of obedience.

You have been told so many times now, that only if obedience is taought as gaining or maintaining salvation is that true, but as you have done since you first arrived, you do not care about truth, or correctly determining whT people are saying, all you care about is protecting your own belief at all cost, even if it means slandering thise who appose you,

If you looked at the word you would see THIS is the passage James Quoted!

You would also see the following

1. Abraham had not even had a child yet
2. His heir was a child of his slave
3. God said this is not the heir of promise

4. God said an heir of his own seed will be the child of promise
5. God said his descendents would be as numerous as the stars in the sky

6. AT THIS POINT abraham trusted god, and at this moment he was made righteous,

Issac was not even born yet, how did abraham become justied at this moment if he had not yet sacrificed his son, as YOU ARE DECLAIRING?

Face it dude, your wrong, James spoke a truth, abrams faith was not a dead faith, it was a living faith, and he PROVED it by his works, in this way, he was justified by his work, but legally he was justified the moment he believed god in this passage james quoted,

The word of faith is in our mouth and in our heart together (Romans 10:8-10). Faith and confession are not two separate steps to salvation, but are chronologically together.

I think it started with cain, he thought God would accept the fruit of his loabor (work) and not the blood of a lamb,

Legalism has been the main religion ever since, sadly it made it way into the jews camp, and the christian camp.

I think it is pride, and self preservation which causes it. We want to feel we can have control
