You are the one who referred to Romans 7!
Paul explains it perfectly
Obviously, you have no idea what is being said there - or you have rejected it.

Anytime you and others try to tell me that I am obliged to observe the Sabbath you are referring to the Torah and an obsolete covenant.
You are a legalist (read heretic) who is forever trying to enslave others and put them into bondage...
If you can show me just one post where I tell you or others to keep the Sabbath I will believe you...but of course you can't because I never say it....it's all in your mind.
The NT is not an exact repetition to be kept as the Old....but a 'New and Living Way' as JESUS teaches BASED on Love and Grace, Obedience from our own heart and willingness !!! No one is 'commanded-or else like as in the OC. NOW we show God we love Him by keeping the Commandments , many scriptures in 1 Joh. If you don't want to keep them it's your choice !

Of course the 4th commandment is done away with - it is part of a covenant to which New covenant believers are NOT obligated to...

What one will find is that nine of the ten commands originally found in the decalogue find expression in the New covenant - the Sabbath is the CONSPICUOUS exception!
Why?
Hebrews chapter 4 explains that our true rest is indeed in Jesus Christ and nothing more!

Legalists love quoting Matthew 5:18 as apparent proof of their position...
However the only way to interpret Scripture is read the whole thing.
So its not "done away" but you find other reasons to ignore it, OK. That pesky 4th COmmandment...

Actually it is in Hebrews 4:

And as I stated before the rest the Messiah offers is in the Kingdom, that is why "a promise remains:

#G4520 – sabbatismos, sabbatismos: a sabbath rest, Original Word: σαββατισμός, οῦ, ὁ, Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine, Transliteration: sabbatismos, Phonetic Spelling: (sab-bat-is-mos'), Short Definition: a Sabbath rest, Definition: a keeping of the Sabbath, a Sabbath rest., Word Origin - from a derivation of sabbaton, Definition - a sabbath rest

Hebrews 4:9, "Therefore, there remains the keeping of the Sabbath (word G#4520) to the people of YHWH."

How do we SCRIPTUALLY this is not talking about "resting in Jesus" now? Because Scriptuare shows us EXACTLY what the rest is He offers:

Revelation 14:13, "And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me: Write: Blessed are the dead, the ones dying in the Messiah from now on! Yes, says the Spirit: because they will rest from their labors, and their works do follow them!"

Back to the start of this conversation, if Hebrews 4 stated what you claim you could quote where it said what you make it to mean.

If Paul can write on several occasions that the Torah is no longer binding on New covenant, and Luke can document in Acts chapter 15 the narrative of the Jerusalem Council that makes it crystal clear that the Torah is not binding on New covenant believers then the legalists interpretation of Matt 5:18 must be wrong!
So everything is filterd through your understanding of Paul and erases the Messiah's words?

Lets look to some of what PAul said:

Romans 3:28, "For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the Law."

Romans 3:31, "Are we then doing away with the Law through the faith? By no means! Rather, we establish the Law!"

Acts 24:14, "But I confess this to you, that after the way which they call heresy, so I (Paul) worship the Father of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets."

Romans 7:25, "Thanks be to YHWH, I have deliverance through Yahshua Messiah our King! So then, with this same mind, I myself serve the Law of YHWH, while in the flesh that is yet subject to the law of sin."

Acts 21:24, "Take them, and be purified with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads. Then everyone will know that those things they were informed about you (forsaking the Law), were lies, and that you (Paul), yourself, walk orderly, and keep the Law."

1 Corinthians 7:19, "For neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the commandments of Yah?"

Romans 8:5-8, "For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit, set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against; (bitterly opposed to), YHWH; for it is not subject to the Law of YHWH, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are of the flesh cannot please YHWH."

Romans 6:1-2, "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?"

1 John 3:4, "Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law."

Romans 7:7, Shall we therefore say that the Law is sin? No! By no means! But to the contrary, I did not know sin; transgression of the Law, except through the Law, for I did not know lust, unless the Law had said: Do not covet."

Romans 7:12, "Therefore the Law is holy, and the commandments are holy, and just, and righteous."

Ephesians 6:2-3, "Honor your father and mother; which is the first commandment with a promise: That it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."

However many twist his words into Lawlessness as Peter warned of:

2 Peter/Kepha 3:15-17, "and reckon the patience of our Master as deliverance, as also our beloved brother Paul/Sha’ul wrote to you, according to the wisdom given to him, as also in all his letters, speaking in them concerning these matters, in which some are hard to understand, which those who are untaught and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do also the other Scriptures. You, then, beloved ones, being forewarned, watch, lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the delusion of the lawless, but grow in the favor and knowledge of our Master and Savior יהושע Messiah. To Him be the esteem both now and to a day that abides. Amĕn.”

Clearly, whatever Jesus was referring to in Matt 5:18 has in fact been fulfilled in His death and resurrection!
If this were true He would have said "the Law wont pass till my resurrection" He did not say that He said:

Mat 5:18, "I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh; the smallest of the letters will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Heaven and earth has not yet passed, not only can I look out the window and see this but Scripture tells us of the time this will happen:

Revelation 21:1, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."

graceNpeace;3556341Reams and reams of out of context texts can never substitute for decent exegesis and solid hermeneutics...[/QUOTE said:
Well at least I use Scripture, funny how we are in a "Bible Discussion Forum" and the accusation is too much Scripture. Also I find it odd you accuse me of bad exegesis and hermeneutics when you say things oppisite to what is expressely written...

the law is no longer supported by the developer

the law is a single script

and requires particular "libraries" - such as the temple and Urim and Thummim - to run without bugs
All gone, but now we have a better and eternal temple in whom we can have our rest from the toil and labours of this world.

(Joh 2:19-21) Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body.

And now we can accept the invitation of he who rebuilt the temple in three days and come unto Him all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

We can see the ending of the law and the blessings God bestowed upon us with our new life in Christ when the physical temple made of stone was destroyed and the Jews themselves ended the ritual sacrificing of the lamb.

Yes it was in the quote, my view is the hebrew is intrepreted/translated as in this quote:

Psalm 110:1, "יהוה said to my Master, “Sit at My right hand, Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”"
This is due to the origin language and context of t he entire Psalm.

Look at the Hebrew;

This is "my Master"

לַֽאדֹנִ֗י

Nice one. "I (Yahweh) said to my Master “Sit at My right hand, Until I (your servant) make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”"

Yahweh speaks to his Master who is Jesus.

Are you sure you are reding that correct? SO you are telling me YHWH says "to His Master" So YHWH Commandes His Master? Are you really thinking this?

There is none above YHWH

Isaiah 45:18, "For thus said יהוה, Creator of the heavens, He is Mighty, Sculpter of earth and its Maker, He established it, He did not create it to be empty, He formed it to be inhabited: “I am יהוה, and there is none else."

John 14:28, "You have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If you loved me, you would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I."

Psalms 2:1-12, "2:1, "Why do the nations rage, And the peoples meditate emptiness? (Mat 4:25-26. See also Dan 2:44, Dan 7:13-28, Hag 2:22, Zec 14:9 and Rev 11:15) The sovereigns of the earth take their stand, And the rulers take counsel together, Against יהוה and against His Messiah, and say, Let us tear apart Their bonds, And throw away Their ropes from us.”"2:4, " He who is sitting in the heavens laughs, יהוה mocks at them. Then He speaks to them in His wrath, And troubles them in His rage, saying,"2:6, "“ But I, I have set My Sovereign on Tsiyon, My set-apart mountain. I inscribe for a law: יהוה has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have brought You forth. Ask of Me, and I make the nations Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth Your possession. Break them with a rod of iron, Dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel. And now, be wise, O sovereigns; Be instructed, you rulers of the earth. Serve יהוה with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son lest He be enraged, And you perish in the way, For soon His wrath is to be kindled. Blessed are all those taking refuge in Him.”

I'm quite sure I am reading it right. You have just shown us the 1 omnipresent God in heaven and on earth.

There is no other God higher than God the Word who became flesh.

I see you edited my reply in your quote, at least it honestly reflects the parts you ignored.

"Psalm 110:1, "יהוה said to my Master, “Sit at My right hand, Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”"
"Yahweh said to his Master." Get used to it.

Ahh I see you altered what the verse says. I will believe what is written in the Scriptures not your made up version, also you are the one who says Moses is evil and the "OT" god is satan right?

It is good you showed us the scriptures that speak of the unity of Father and Son. We know the Son spoke as the Father spoke, for Father and Son are One, but as we read the sayings of Father God via. the Son, we can see there is no resemblance between Father God and Yahweh. Father God is the giver of life, while Yahweh is the Destroyer, the serpent in the Garden.
Clearly you are very confused. Are you a Free Mason or a Shriner by chance?

I am glad to hear you confess that, because you have said things in direct contrast in the past, honestly it made me question you esoteric doctrine...

Esoteric is correct (intended for, or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest).

It seems to be the case, that there are few people who understand the true nature of God. For most people Yahweh
is unable to come, even to his own people. Well my God, the Almighty, can and did come to His own.

If your god cannot walk and talk to his own people, even if only for thirty three years, then he is not God. You say your god cannot, and never did walk this earth and to my mind, not only does it deny much of scripture, it robs you of the salvation that is due to all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

So this is the part where you project things upon me I never said? and say "im robbed of salvation" You show your nature.

Isaiah 42:1-4, “See, My Servant whom I uphold, My Chosen One My being has delighted in! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He brings forth judgment to the nations. He does not cry out, nor lifts up His voice, nor causes His voice to be heard in the street. A crushed reed He does not break, and smoking flax He does not quench. He brings forth right-ruling in accordance with truth. He does not become weak or crushed, until He has established judgment in the earth. And the coastlands wait for His Instructions.”

Mat 12:18, “See, My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My being did delight. I shall put My Spirit upon Him, and He shall declare right-ruling to the nations. He shall not strive nor cry out, nor shall anyone hear His voice in the streets. A crushed reed He shall not break, and smoking flax He shall not quench, till He brings forth right-ruling forever. And the nations shall trust in His Name.”

That is Jesus who is Yahweh on earth, God with us, Immanuel, and your denial of the Trinity is a denial of Jesus as God. In other words you do not believe in Him as you should.
