A better question from the article is "Have you personally made semichah by laying hands on Jesus as your sacrifice for sin? Have you made viduy (confession) of your need for deliverance through Him?
"
When i first came to the Lord I confessed all the guilt of my sins, and He lifted the burden.
And then what surprised me is that He Asked something that taught me a valuable Truth," Is there anything else burdening you?"

Then the Understanding came over me immediately and the pain i had suffered for Him was Healed.
I learned that all the good work that i truely wanted to do for him was not in vain. The Lord even encouraged me That He was there all along Just waiting for me to climb the Fig Tree that i had cared for in my youth.

If you had to live righteously before you could be saved, no man could be saved.
He saved you while you were in your sins. He did not say, I will save you when you stop sinning.
Hi Stunned,

I believe we are saved in our state of sinners, shown the light and given the power
to begin the walk on the path.

My only inspiration lately is the central role of purity in our communion with the Lord,
and how emotionally it resolves so many of our issues and fears. Our modern ways of
over analysis misses what was emotionally so obvious to previous generations and revivals.
When love comes to town, darkness disappears. When communities are close and not so
individualistic and selfish, the gospel speaks quicker and simpler to people, because their
needs are more obvious and open.

A lot of people can literally flatter themselves with wealth and believe they have
arrived when it is just money and running away that protects them from the realities of
life coming home to roost. It is why rich people become corrupted and abusive without
realizing it, because they do not have to rely on any relationships actually working.

So my theology is closer to pilgrims progress and the methodist view of holiness than
anything. But I know to most I am just doomed to hell, so it matters little to them, lol

ok now I'm curious, going to check this out for myself...
The article isn't that bad, the question about altars kind of off putting though.

Personally I think of Jesus words "But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice"

Matt 9v13 & Hoses 6v6

[h=3]Jacob Meets Esau[/h]33 Jacob looked up and there was Esau, coming with his four hundred men; so he divided the children among Leah, Rachel and the two female servants.

2 He put the female servants and their children in front, Leah and her children next,
and Rachel and Joseph in the rear.
3 He himself went on ahead and bowed down to the ground seven times as he approached his brother.

4
But Esau ran to meet Jacob and embraced him; he threw his arms around his neck and kissed him. And they wept. 5 Then Esau looked up and saw the women and children. “Who are these with you?” he asked.

Jacob answered, “They are the children God has graciously given your servant.”
6 Then the female servants and their children approached and bowed down. 7 Next, Leah and her children came and bowed down. Last of all came Joseph and Rachel, and they too bowed down.
8 Esau asked, “What’s the meaning of all these flocks and herds I met?”
“To find favor in your eyes, my lord,” he said.
9 But Esau said, “I already have plenty, my brother. Keep what you have for yourself.”
10 “No, please!” said Jacob. “If I have found favor in your eyes, accept this gift from me. For to see your face is like seeing the face of God, now that you have received me favorably. 11 Please accept the present that was brought to you, for God has been gracious to me and I have all I need.” And because Jacob insisted, Esau accepted it.
12 Then Esau said, “Let us be on our way; I’ll accompany you.”
13 But Jacob said to him, “My lord knows that the children are tender and that I must care for the ewes and cows that are nursing their young. If they are driven hard just one day, all the animals will die. 14 So let my lord go on ahead of his servant, while I move along slowly at the pace of the flocks and herds before me and the pace of the children, until I come to my lord in Seir.”
15 Esau said, “Then let me leave some of my men with you.”
“But why do that?” Jacob asked. “Just let me find favor in the eyes of my lord.”
16 So that day Esau started on his way back to Seir. 17 Jacob, however, went to Sukkoth, where he built a place for himself and made shelters for his livestock. That is why the place is called Sukkoth.[a]
18 After Jacob came from Paddan Aram,[b] he arrived safely at the city of Shechem in Canaan and camped within sight of the city. 19 For a hundred pieces of silver,[c] he bought from the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem, the plot of ground where he pitched his tent. 20 There he set up an altar and called it El Elohe Israel.[d]

Hi stunned,

Do you love Jesus? Do you desire to walk in His ways? Does His words and life
fill you with joy and praises to His name?

My walk is just this, a walk of wonder and learning from Him. I am transfixed how
He has changed me and molded me through my will and gifting.

Now I can share where my heart is and where I am currently. But in
the end it is our walk and communion that matters and those brothers and sisters
who share this oneness in Christ Jesus.

For some to even talk like this is a red rag to a bull. I now understand how they
feel, but it does not change my experience or who the Lord is, rather it shows how
troubled a life they lead.

What you do not see is the anger and antagonism of some against loving Christ, is testimony
that they do not know Him. You appear not to be able to see this yet. I do not actually
have to say anything about other peoples positions, the spiritual reality will drive them to
demonstrate what is in their hearts without me commenting.

It happened to Jesus, so it will happen to us. Praise the Lord that our testimony is strong
enough to raise such opposition, hallelujah. We are called to walk in the light as He is in the
light so our good works so shine before men they will praise the Lord, Amen.

Zacchaeus repented of stealing money as a tax collected "in his youth" and promised Jesus to pay folks back...

Jesus neither encouraged him to tend fig trees or commended him for climbing one.....the guy was short,he wanted to see Jesus.

Nothing we do for God is in vain, but God does reveal what we should and shouldn't do.

However that is not the purpose of this thread...,it is to establish that the ONLY FOUNDATION MUST BE CHRIST.....

Anything else is shifting sand.

The free grace movement is about Antinomianism, the abandonment of morality in the face
of salvation by faith. Another phrase is lawlessness, being under no law at all or set of
morality rules. I am opposed to this position, though I do wonder why I need to repeat the
obvious all the time. But maybe people have such short term memories they forget the
foundations of the faith, lol.

This thread is not about Antinomianism (sinning and not caring).....it's about the foundation: faith in Christ.

Repeating that the thread is about something else is not just a lie, it's a willful sin due to blindness, unbelief and lack of love.

You sound like you are saying what an apostle said others were accusing Paul of when he preached Christ crucified, which was: well then, you are saying it is perfectly okay to continue in sin.

But to know that anger in my heart at you is murder is much MORE exacting than: you must not take anyones physical life. It's actually taking it much further than the outward appearance and doings and straight into a mans inside thoughts and life that no one else can see. That is not abandonment of morality. It is Him changing a man from the inside out. If he never has anger, he will never take anyones physical life. The problem is dealt with at the place where defilement begins - inside the man.

Here is Paul discussing his law of sin in him.

Romans 7 NIV

14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

now that is a very interesting statement considering the blood lust ive witnessed.
counting fingers and toes now,

Oh, now i am going to really let loose.
Because i see that some here have ignored Yeshua about the Law and the Prophets. And so just as he Says about the soil and the birds.

I only ever saw a Tree of seasons in the lesson of the fig ole friend.
Perhaps you have more needs than you realize.
jacob protected his youngins from the exhaustion that the enemy so callously contrived in his souless heart.

As they were approaching Yerushalayim, near Beit-Pagei and Beit-Anyah, by the Mount of Olives, Yeshua sent two of his talmidim 2 with these instructions: “Go into the village ahead of you; and as soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there that has never been ridden. Untie it, and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it,’ and he will send it here right away.”
4 They went off and found a colt in the street tied in a doorway, and they untied it. 5 The bystanders said to them, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They gave the answer Yeshua had told them to give, and they let them continue. 7 They brought the colt to Yeshua and threw their robes on it, and he sat on it.
8 Many people carpeted the road with their clothing, while others spread out green branches which they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who were ahead and those behind shouted,
“Please! Deliver us!”[a] [b]

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai!”[c]

10 “Blessed is the coming Kingdom of our father David!”

and,

“You in the highest heaven! Please! Deliver us!”[d] [e]

11 Yeshua entered Yerushalayim, went into the Temple courts and took a good look at everything; but since it was now late, he went out with the Twelve to Beit-Anyah.
12 The next day, as they came back from Beit-Anyah, he felt hungry. 13 Spotting in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came up to it, he found nothing but leaves; for it wasn’t fig season.

14 He said to it,
“May no one ever eat fruit from you again!”

And his talmidim heard what he said.

Then Yeshua gave this illustration:
“A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came looking for fruit but didn’t find any. 7 So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘Here, I’ve come looking for fruit on this fig tree for three years now without finding any. Cut it down — why let it go on using up the soil?’
8 But he answered,
‘Sir, leave it alone one more year. I’ll dig around it and put manure on it. 9 If it bears fruit next year, well and good; if not, you will have it cut down then.’”

19 Yeshua entered Yericho and was passing through, 2 when a man named Zakkai appeared who was a chief tax-collector and a wealthy man. 3 He was trying to see who Yeshua was; but, being short, he couldn’t, because of the crowd. 4 So he ran on ahead and climbed a fig tree in order to see him, for Yeshua was about to pass that way.

5 When he came to the place, he looked up and said to him,
“Zakkai! Hurry! Come down, because I have to stay at your house today!”

6 He climbed down as fast as he could and welcomed Yeshua joyfully.
7 Everyone who saw it began muttering,
“He has gone to be the house-guest of a sinner.”

8 But Zakkai stood there and said to the Lord,
“Here, Lord, I am giving half of all I own to the poor; and if I have cheated anyone, I will pay him back four times as much.”

9
Yeshua said to him,
“Today salvation has come to this house, inasmuch as this man too is a son of Avraham.
For the Son of Man came to seek and save what was lost.”

Obviously you enjoy the obfuscation that using the OJB version of the Bible brings on a non Jewish site. To me that is deliberately making the discussion much harder than need be. Therefore you must enjoy creating pain for others. Are you a sadist?

Stringing verses together about fig trees just proves bad hermeneutics....

Lion....used both to describe Jesus as the Lion of Judah...and Satan as a lion roaming the earth to devour folks

Salt....good for flavoring...bad for watering plants James 3

Fig tree....fruitless fig tree means earthly Jerusalem and harlot Israel, 3 years means Jesus earthly ministry to call His people back....fig tree Zachaeus climbed? Doesn't say if it produced fruit or not.

Law and prophets?

Jesus told us They hang on two commandments.

Again but what this thread is about...

Is there any foundation except Christ Jesus for salvation?

The free grace movement is about Antinomianism, the abandonment of morality in the face
of salvation by faith. Another phrase is lawlessness, being under no law at all or set of
morality rules. I am opposed to this position, though I do wonder why I need to repeat the
obvious all the time. But maybe people have such short term memories they forget the
foundations of the faith, lol.
ah
free grace reminds me of something like universal salvation.
in other words, blasphemy of the Ruach Haqodosh(Holy Spirit) is forgivable)
only a fallen one would dare tell a Believer this.

They are trying to get believers to sell their Shield of Faith

I think it only causes pain for those who read his posts. I don't read them because I don't understand all of the jewish words.
I like NLT and NASB, but I can follow along if someone uses NIV, KJV, or 30 other English translations.

Its a shame to have people skip all of your posts because they cant make any sense out of what you are saying.

Accepting Him as your savior does what the annual umblemished lamb sacrifice did back then. He was the unblemished Lamb of God!!!
The difference being that the Old covenant sacrifices could never take away sins completely, hence why they had to be repeated. Even when a woman gave birth she had to go through a whole ritual each time, because she was considered unclean. Mary and Joseph must have been poor, because they opted for 2 dove offerings, rather than a lamb.

It was all pointing to Jesus, the ONE perfect sacrifice for sins forever. By just ONE offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified (Hebrews 10:11-18).

Jesus said "It is finished" (John 19:30)

Oh, I actually understood this post. Its all in English.
The grace of God is said another way as the kindness of God.
What did you pay to receive His kindness and mercy to you, a sinner?
