Yup JIMBO43, A clean ship is a, "Happy Ship"

Grace is the basis for Our Christian identity:
Christians live every day by the grace of God. We receive forgiveness according to the riches of God’s grace, and grace drives our sanctification. Paul tells us, “the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives” (Titus 2:11). Spiritual growth does not happen overnight; we “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 2:18). Grace transforms our desires, motivations, and behavior. In fact, God’s grace grounds and empowers everything in the Christian life.

By the grace of God I am what I am.” (1 Corinthians 1:10
Our standing before God: “this grace in which we stand.” (Romans 5
Our behavior: “We behaved in the world … by the grace of God.” (2 Corinthians 2:12)

this shows you know nothing of the OT, nothing of the law, and nothing of scripture.

Study the word, then get back with me, maybe then we can talk.
They HAVE studied the word. That should be apparent...
The pharisees devoted their entire lives to study of the word.
So...is that the answer?

there is a huge difference between payment for sin, and Jesus purchasing our souls at Calvary...be blessed
If sin is not paid for, we can not be restored to god, we would still be dead

again, study the day of atonement,

God knows our hearts. Our works don't prove we are saved to God but is a way for God to lead others back to Him,

We obey God so that we grow up and become more mature in Him. The more we obey, the more we are entrusted with...God only gives those He trust good works..not as a test but as a blessing and a way to share His love with others,
John 14:21

John 14:21The Message (MSG)

You don't see harshness and roughness in the way some men speak to each other?
I have brothers...thought that was how all men talked to each other...the whole iron sharpening iron philosophy.

They could be nicer but most guys will be quite blunt if they think you aren't listening or are wasting their time.

The men I admire the most are the ones who see past the pride and peacock strutting and address the questions both biblically and with gentleness and love.

I admire those men too. Why does their gentleness make you admire them more?

Yes we have to learn to love God and others as God loves us and it should be a two way relationship.

Jesus says that the pure of heart shall see God and that we should be peacemakers.

so says the man that seems to sit behind a computer 24/7 arguing in favour of a forgone conclusion of sin in the scriptures:confused:

payment for sin, and Jesus satisfying God's wrath was never heard until 1300 years after Jesus died...how could that be? Sadly you wont take the time to even studying the history of how and when, and by whom these feeble doctrines that you believe came into existence...

I admire those men too. Why does their gentleness make you admire them more?
Because they have learnt from God that strength is not always about how loud you shout but how much you love

Truth spoken in love is more powerful than any worldly wisdom shouted through loud speakers..

Wow you are so right, seeing God as heavy task master was something I moved in and out of for so long and it is not who He is and I know He does not want us so view Him that way, especially in light of the cross and what He did on our behalf.

Performance based salvation is a snarly web filled with ongoing disappointment at one's one failings if one is really honest with themselves.

Ultimately they will believe as they will...I like that line ....be my guest. I need to remember that.

I like your new picture, it is very peaceful :)
I like the new picture as well:)...xox...

Not entirely sure if Ariel and stunned is addressing myself and Meggido, but I came back online to say this...funny that I knew to do this too..

I am not entirely at odds with Meggido. I do know what he is speaking about and I agree with him wholly as to how the body of Christ should be operating in maturity.

I only disagree with him on this matter of the positional righteousness being foundational truth. Well, too...I see Holy Spirit operating moreso than us and my thinking is he centers too much on our part. I think there should be balance in this. Perhaps we should hash this out in pms.

But, when it comes to spiritual operation? I agree with him.
