I am looking for a concealed carry pistol around $400. Any suggestions.
Glock 26. Based on nothing more than personal experience with one and my extreme like of the weapon. I paid $375 for mine on special at cheaperthandirt.com

People who say "aim for the leg" don't know how things go down.

9mm is sufficient, a friend tells me he was home on a Sunday, a guy with a knife broke in and came at him, he had time to
reach a 9mm , hit the perpetrator in the knee, the thread ended. He's a good shot, was aiming for center mass, hit the knee,
weird stuff happens in the excitement of the moment. I have more confidence in the revolver.

That's a great gun. If you are just going to buy one, I'd say it was optimal, in fact.

Really, it all depends on your lifestyle. If you're a bigger guy or can go un-tucked more often, you could take a step up to a Glock 19.

If you have to wear a suit or tight, fitted clothes, it would be wise to consider a decent single stack 9mm like a G43 or a Walther PPS. Unless you're a bigger guy... then the G-26 would probably be perfect.

Either way, 9mm is the way to go. With modern ballistics and pricing on practice ammo, it's become the goldilocks round.

One more thing I want to chime in on. I'm no instructor. But in my days as a beginner, I found semi-autos way more intuitive to aim and operate.

More than 7000 children and adolescents are hospitalised or killed by guns each year in the US.

What is psychotic about gun ownership in America, is that owners would rather those children die, than ever give up their right to carry arms. And the reasoning is that they are safe with their weapons, and only use for protection (forget about faith in God for protection) and would never commit such atrocities.

If I'm wrong and it is normal and Godly to glorify weapons, then please find me someone on this thread who is NOT American and is talking about guns like it is normal and family-friendly?

I don't think guns belong in any Christian place, so either this site is owned by Americans therefore allowing the American psychosis of gun ownership, or it is owned by those who tolerate the evils of American impurity.

Man. I wish he posted this before Independence Day. It would've added more meaning to the holiday.

Watch, he probably also has a thing or two to say about fireworks, hot dogs, CocaCola, and baseball.

This is idiotic and like most who are ignorant of the facts is nothing more than a bloviated bias position.....You should take some time and get your facts straight before you make uneducated statements like the bolded in your quote....

New preliminary 2016 data shared Wednesday from the National Safety Council estimates that as many as 40 ,000 people died in motor vehicles crashes last year

Should we ban cars as well.....almost 2000 KILLED in your own country in Auto accidents....MUST BE EVIL.....and PSYCOTIC that Brits want to drive cars....and....

In the UK there are 2,034 violent crimes per 100,000 people. …The US has a violent crime rate of 466 [violent] crimes per 100,000 residents.” <----GOOGLED THIS

Clean your own house pal and then worry about us....IF NOT for AMERICANS who could shoot you would be speaking GERMAN.....

If it were a true statement that guns actually killed people then of course it would be silly to not ban them.

But guns don't just decide to kill people. They are a tool. In the hands of careless or bad people they do bad things. In the hands of responsible good people they are a tool that can accomplish good things.

Are Americans who own guns the only ones who get this?? It doesn't seem super difficult to me. But I'm American so maybe I was born with it...

When the Muslims sweep Europe and the United Kingdom he will be wishing he had a weapon to defend himself and or his family......I talked with a NSW Police officer in Penrith, Australia a little over a month ago and he is terrified that he will be on duty and not able to defend his family when they rise up there....and HE HIMSELF wishes the laws in AU would be loosened a bit to allow a few more Aussies to own weapons........most are ignorant of the fact that there are 140,000,000 registered gun owners and 99.9999 percent are law abiding, moral, responsible citizens....and one thing these bias bloviators NEVER POST are the 10's of thousands of good things done with "guns".....stopped crimes, rapes, murders, police officers defended etc.......all they can do is post one sided, bias facts based upon ignorance......funny how some wet nose from the United Kingdom wants to flap about laws in the U.S.......

Source..?? That sounds like a totally fake fact to me. That comes to 19 children a day! Including weekends and holidays!

Most stats of this kind are inflated by people in their mid-late teens shooting each other or getting shot while committing crimes.

Even then, I'm surprised he picked this one because it's fairly low compared to the others I've seen.

You put up a statistic for violent crime, why don't you put up the statistic for murder? US is 5 times higher than the UK. There is a connection between gun ownership and murder rates, it's pretty obvious anyway (if not then you are probably suffering from a level of psychosis). It's not that "you" are more likely to murder, but more in the sense of where there are guns, the owner may lack the mental integrity to only use as a last resort, guns are going to get into the wrong hands, guns might be stolen, guns won't be locked in a cabinet 100% of the time. "Psychosis" is when you try to twist something around (live in a different reality), by saying that lower crime altogether is better than a lower murder rate?!

dcontroversal I see you do this to people on this site, it is as if your 'reality' is the only reality that is true.

And to use the idea of death by car, is also pretty crazy. Without cars how can society function? You might say stupidly, that without guns how can society function? Look around the world for the answer to that. Or are you saying that the US is the most dangerous place in the world?

Since 2006 there have been 35 mass shootings in America. So before you use terrorism or the influx of Islam in Europe (not infused with racism of course), try and get that fact into your 'reality'. My guess is you won't be able to, which is what psychosis tends to be. An inability to accepts facts that 'don't come from you'.

I might be inclined to think about whether there is some truth in how 'good' gun ownership is, if there were people here from other countries other than the US, that agree with you and all the other Americans glorifying weapons that kill people. To me it really is an American psychosis, because you all deeply believe, as a part of your being, that you could not live without guns, even if there was fact staring you in the face that there would be less mass shootings, and less children killed every year if there was tight gun control.

If tight gun control was being introduced and they were going to make a massive gun grab, and it incited Civil War which could mean a lot of people dying (shot with guns?!), would you be fighting for those gun rights and shooting people too? What you won't admit here within the confines of your mind, is what the truth to that is.

Do you think that they have guns in heaven? There is your answer to whether weapons are Godly.

At the very LEAST, gun ownership should be strictly controlled in the US as to who can have a firearm. Interesting how your immigration rules are some of the tightest in the world, and yet gun ownership some of the most lenient. I believe to some degree police should carry guns, but not as a matter of routine. Guns can be a visible deterrent in small quantities without the intention to be used, rather than a trigger sensitivity waiting to be used. Even your police have an issue with mental integrity not to use their gun as a first resort. Is it a bible, is it a gun, is it a water pistol? Better shoot first in case it is a gun...

Part of the American psychosis of gun ownership I understand comes from a belief that you are therefore protected in case of a government turned corrupt, sublime to right to protection, the whole 2nd amendment thing. But that happened many years ago. If there was a case of rising against a corrupt government, civilian gun ownership would be like bows and arrows against machine guns, you wouldn't stand a chance. However if you watch a lot of gung-ho movies you probably think it is possible to win. After all, you were up against drones in the 1800s.

I think gun control is inevitable in the US at some point, if things start to fall apart. Without the 2nd amendment, the American Civil War wouldn't have happened.

More imaginative reasoning. Whatever it takes to show gun ownership is right, just say 'you're English and the from the UK' and then fabricate something about Muslim invasions to portray us as stupid or incapable, when your own country dealing with mass shootings on a mass scale. Just because America helped during the wars, doesn't mean anyone has to submit to you as being right about everything.

America is the most prideful country in the world, look at how you guys speak, converse, and gang-up on people from other countries.

I asked whether there are people to back up the Godless view of gun rights for all, but they don't appear to be here.

Talking about weapons DOES NOT belong on a Christian site.

so much for the peace of Christ resting in your soul.
Why are you even on a Christian site when you insist on posting showing you are not?
I so wish you understood what it means to be a citizen.
Nothing is a "weapon" until it is used as a weapon, the rock Cain used to slay his brother was not a weapon until
it was used as a weapon.
Understanding recreational, competitive shooting sports appears to be beyond your grasp
You have my sympathy.

I like the Glock 26 but it feels awkward in my big hand.

But so what I won't be using it for competition.

This thread is for people who like guns. If you think guns are sinful you don't have to participate in this thread. Instead you can pray for us to receive God's wisdom and guidance in this area.

There are tens of thousands of godly Americans who enjoy shooting sports as a hobby. There are many godly Americans who are in God's will who carry concealed firearms. I'll bet a hundred dollars that God does not consider carrying a concealed firearm to be a sin in and of itself. Though, it could be less than best for some to carry, or to carry in certain situations.

But there are hundreds, if not thousands, of situations each year where having a gun handy protected someones life or property. But the media refuses to hear such accounts because it goes against their ungodly anti gun agenda.
