Well, there's always a green card. :) Not from me, you are too young for me, but maybe you will meet someone on here. You never know.
I'm being patient on His will, I suppose we can't go wrong with that can we?

I've got a solution. Let's make a bunch of T-shirts that say "I'm Christian and single... get to know me." Then we'll all be able to find each other in real life. I mean it is theoretically possible even if highly unlikely that some of us actually do go to the same churches or shop in the same grocery stores or work in the same offices, but we'd never know if we're only socializing online at Christian sites.
This idea amuses me, if only it would work. I imagine nost peiple around here would raise an eyebrow....if not question me over that. It is cool though, and if it works for people great.

Activelywaiting: your comment about women not pursuing guys is actually my greatest downfall. Being rather shy I have trouble just approaching someone. I honestly would love to find someone outgoing who would just tell me 'hey I like you'. Such is how the world works though....the only girls that seem to approach me like that want something I don't give before marriage.

Likewise, I ask myself "where are all the single Christian women?". They don't seem to exist in Britain, only in America seemingly. If only I was able to live there :p

Honestly i dont see whats the problem with listing all the single people here (with pic and age and denomination) and start the picking. Is that not doing Gods work? Did not the Lord bring people together? And although i tried many free christians connecting-people (or simply 'dating') APPs i didnt met a person with the same believes as mine.

I understand both sides of the 'dating' situation this site struggles with. I think for the site admin, and alot of people using it boils down to identity. Noone is against meeting people here, they just don't want it heavily advertised.

I know myself would not be against meeting someone here, but honestly just use the site to make freinds and have fellowship. If something would happen and I meet someone, great!

I agree there are so, so many single decent Christian women and so few men! I dated an agnostic guy for 2 years 10 years ago, and decided to only go out with Christian guys after that, but it seems there are none here! I think I am destined to be alone and it is rubbish! I have never received anything whatsoever for Valentines day. Poor me!

That is sad. I hope you can find a good christian guy. It seems we just have trouble noticing eachother out in the real world.

This is purely perspective. Many Christian men complain they can't find Christian women.
A large number of gender oriented complaints actually work for both genders. But since we only see our genders side of things we think ours is the only one with a problem.

That's a great way to attract stalkers!

Perhaps you're right, maybe we should package them with pepper spray or something and add some warning text to the T-shirt, something like "inappropriate advances will be pepper sprayed and quartered". Either that or they'll have to be T-shirts we just wear to church and other christian events.

Usually puritanism and seeking loyalty to the Lord, mixed with some fear of commitment is what makes many christian guys hide or retain from relationships on this site or anywhere
To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.

The truth is that good Christian men and women do exist, but those of us who say they don't are more than likely finding excuses to write them off. I recently listened to a good talk on this subject by Dr. Henry Cloud who addresses this topic specifically. We too often have a list of standards that are way too rigid and disqualify a lot of people who could potentially wake up parts of us we didn't know were there if we took the time to talk to them. And the piece of advice I found most helpful was to stop looking for a spouse and simply focus on getting to know other people. When you find the right person to marry, you will know. You don't have to make it your goal at the outset to find that person.

The moral of the story? Be intentional with those Christian men and women that do exist in your life, and get to know them. Quit sitting passively sitting back and waiting for someone to come to you. If you do that, all the Christian men and women out there will seem invisible.
