Don't kid yourself either of us live in a free country. Can be quite expensive ..but a lot of cheaper models and types out there
You want to buy one? haha Oh I forgot you don't live in a free country...maybe the muslims can get one for you ? Don t intend to be mean or rude to you ..just making a point![]()
Well I believe I am free as long as I have the ability to defend myself ... I have not given up on the original ideas of my nation and believe as long as the constitution is upheld ..especially the 2nd Amendment ..we have freedomDon't kid yourself either of us live in a free country.
I wouldn't want a firearm, I was just curious.
BTW Mitspa, I did read your original comment as rude - I was surprised at that comment - it's so unlike you.Well I believe I am free as long as I have the ability to defend myself ... We are not going down without a fight ...peaceful fight but in the end, many of us will pay whatever price to uphold our constitution.
OK thanks, I really had no idea if they cost $10, $100 or $1000.Cost of firearms is dependent on what type, and what quality... much like anything else.
A good handgun will start at about $250 and go on up dramatically from there. Some of the custom handguns will go over $3500 easily.
Rifles are about the same.
well I didn't intend it that way..thats why I tried to explain my point was to make a political point, not make a personal attack against you or England ..that I love... but think is very wrong on the whole gun issue.BTW Mitspa, I did read your original comment as rude - I was surprised at that comment - it's so unlike you.
I knew they was a good person behind that liberal propaganda you sometimes repeatI have a Sako .308 for moose hunting. Real good rifle, reckon it'll be good for White Tail as well.

Yes..very good. Perhaps overkill for Texas whitetails, but an all around great caliber.I have a Sako .308 for moose hunting. Real good rifle, reckon it'll be good for White Tail as well.

Personally, I'd use something larger for moose, but the 308 will work....it's mostly about bullet design and placement, anyway.
Talking hunting rifles, I used a Winchester 243 to shoot whitetails my first years of hunting, which worked pretty well but is a bit small. Last year, I used my brother's 30-06 and I LOVED it! I didn't actually use it on a deer of my own, but I finished my sister's deer and the rifle worked beautifully. (Funny story behind that finishing shot, but that's for a different time!).
Do tell! Hunting stories are what threads like this are made for.
Yeah, if I had to go after a moose, I'd pick up a .338 Win Mag.
Perhaps I'm not as good a shot as Jennymae though![]()
