Bahaha. They don't generally bring up their skill set unless it's relevant to the conversation. At least the two I've met and the others I've seen speak. Pretty humble bunch of guys.

I imagine they get a weird range of reactions from uncomfortable worship to utter disdain.

Actually, abortion is a state matter, and some take-matters-into-my-own-beliefs justices broke that trust. And then the liberals went along with it, and the conservatives pretend it's law, so they can use that as an excuse to avoid someone else's problem.

As for overpopulation? We're not even close to that! I grew up in Jersey, a tiny state with 22 million people living there back then. It's the Garden State, because we still had enough rooms for farms and orchards. Drive through the MidWest. We're not even tipping the scales on overpopulation. Double the population, and we're not. Quadruple it, and we're not.

You've been indoctrinated into liberal thought. Not your fault and there was no way out of it, but take the time to see what stuff you've been taught is a scam concealing an agenda.

I was taught the same junk in high school. I kept checking it out and found out how many lies I was taught. I put the "right" answers on the tests, but learned the reality on my own.

So I've been informed. LOL I guess that stuff just takes a while to sink in. Sometimes for me, it just feels like time is really flying by. Other times, it seems like its dragging on slowly.

But yes, I suppose so. I'm really bad about mapping out my life, and I know that I'm just setting myself up for disappointment but it's just hard for me not to. I'm really bad about rushing things like that.

Hey, maybe you're the one who should run for President.

I was by no means trying to say that I agrees that overpopulation was a real thing. Yikes! I didn't mean that at all. But I was just pointing out that it is something that communists and socialists consider big problems, and thus their affection for Planned Parenthood.

Nah, I'm going to run the campaign for a successful Presidential candidate. Then get a cushy job at the next generation's Fox News where I am paid untold sums to give a half-baked opinion for 5 minutes a day, write books, and chase those really good looking infobabes.

Plan B is dominating the state politics of a region and running Mitspa for a position in Nashville. Saving money year after year so I can call myself a millionaire. Marry someone competent enough to help manage my affairs while I wine and dine politicians.

Plan C is martyrdom at the hands of a totalitarian madman or political assassin.

Plan D is to retire to a cabin in the Smokies and weather the storm.

It's probably going to be some combination of the four. Hopefully it leans heavily on numero uno.

Wow... I really don't know how to reply to that, other than to laugh and enjoy it. :p Your plan C looks sort of like my dad's retirement plan *shakes head and facepalms* He's already given me his death wishes. Ugh.

Expect the worst, hope for the best. The first alone turns me into a very depressed person that is no good to be around, and the latter alone produces a hippy. :D

Haha. I've never tried hippy mode before,but that's just what I've observed from other people. We have some sort of activist here that wears two ties and one sock and runs around waving an American flag. I don't actually know what he protests, but he's one of them "hope for the best, we're all good people" types. Total hippy, you know? But I think that would probably be me as a liberal.

Dad was "that guy in the neighborhood." Ever see someone with a perfect lawn? Not even one dandelion dared try to grow on it? That Dad! He really hated squirrels digging holes in it and he lived in the woods on a side of a hill, so, even if he missed the squirrel, he couldn't shoot a neighbor. His airgun sat in the corner right next to his back door, and anytime he saw a squirrel, he'd kill it. For years most squirrels learned not to move into his yard.

But that still left him with enough squirrels to eat and then freeze.

He also spent every Tuesday making a massive meal to give to Aid to Friends, a charity that fed shut-ins. He'd roast a whole turkey, and made all the fixin's for a Thanksgiving feast, and then divided into TV dinner trays, freeze them, and then drove over and hand them to the charity. He did the same thing with kielbasa, cabbage and boiled potatoes, a pork roast, etc.

Dad is OCD and it worked for him there. Every Tuesday he made 7 dinners for whoever could use a real dinner.

But the squirrels added up after a while, and he is never one for wasting food. So one of those Tuesdays he made hasenfeffer with squirrel and sent those seven meals over and laughed. Seven people ate something they probably thought was Cornish Game Hen, but missing the wings. Seven people have eaten squirrel without ever knowing it. lol
 
I've always been amused at people that try venison, then say they didn't like it because it didn't taste anything like beef....

I say..."news flash..... it's NOT beef. You don't expect a pig to taste like beef, do you? You aren't eating a cow"..

Harvested deer should be field dressed and skinned immediately after taking them. Cooling down the carcass is essential to having good meat. Get it down to at least 50 degrees, preferably lower as soon as humanly possible.

Trim all fat, sinew, and silverskin off the meat. Boning it out is the best way to do it. NEVER saw steaks out of it... the bone meal that is produced will kill the flavor.... Cook it to no more than medium-medium rare. The flavor will amaze you.

Elk is even better than deer, and I've heard that if you ever eat moose, you'll never eat beef again. All three are in the "venison" family.

Wild pig is good, too, as long as you take young ones.... maybe up to 150 lbs or so. The meat is somehow sweeter than domestic hogs, and leaner, as well. Pretty tasty... and venison/wild hog sausage is marvelous....

I even though aoudad was pretty tasty, cooked "swiss" style...

Never had squirrel, though. I've heard it makes a good stew.

I'm more concerned. In ten years, I'll be 70, which is that birthday where I can't even keep denying I'm old. lol
