Well its a legal process where you have to show you have property that is endangered by the Hogs ...also the silencer goes into a legal trust and cannot be past to any other person ...its a very drawn out legal and expensive process .My grandfather, two uncles, and dad went hunting for deer every year. They bagged one once.
How does one prove it's to kill hogs unless you can get it and then actually kill the hog?

Ah, I should have qualified my statement. For squirrel, rabbit or other varmint, I don't check to see if they are boys or girls. On them, it's all perfectly edible. My position on buck vs. doe for larger game is just because I've had too many bad food experiences from meat that belonged to a trophy buck but have never been disappointed in the meal from a dry doe. Probably just me, but it makes sense in my crazy little mind.

Doesn't seem to be a matter of being sane, but organized. 300+ million people in this hodge-podge of a country, 400+ million firearms in the hands of private citizens, and over a trillion rounds of ammunition, and amongst all of it, not one unifying thought or sense of purpose. We're all thinking like pack-rats and just trying to protect our own little pile of junk and are so distracted with our bills and other flotsam that we can't organize and take Washington D.C. by force and enact some change.

What if you were special ops/military...could you legally own a silencer for "govt purposes"? Sorry I really don't know the gun rules much over there other than you're allowed non-automatic guns (the kind that rapid fires bullets). Would really like to know about some of the gun laws over there as an interesting read. If anyone can point me to a site for that I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Yeah, well when you get a hold of some bad deer meat, it's REALLY, REALLY BAD. Like, tastes-like-you're-chewing-up-a -billy-goat-in-but bad. The last time egad venison was when a friend gave it to us,claiming it was some real meat. The stuff was so strong it ran me out of the kitchen. It even smelled musky.

I would say those kinda things if someone had a good reason for having them in Government ..would be checked in and out as a person used them on duty? I doubt it would be a item they wanted them taking home?
Yeah, SEALs and Delta don't typically take their tools of the trade home with them. Those items are typically stuffed in a locker for the bean counters to keep track of.
That said, I've met one SEAL and one Delta (who I actually believe were a SEAL and a Delta). They were like regular dudes more than well-pressed, hyper-military types. Definitely biker bar material, not officer's club types. I could honestly see them taking a silencer home and finding some way to cover their tracks.

They also invariably find a way to trick out their civilian AR-15's. That Delta was more helpful than any gun store owner/gun smith I've ever met.
Oh that's another thing. Those dudes are generally all on board for civilian arms ownership. Love them.

Having subsonic rounds is more of a silencer than an actual silencer. But those aren't scary enough to be illegal.
I believe it's actually a federal offense to own a silencer apart from those few little loopholes. But that doesn't seem to stop a lot of people around here. Apparently there is a really easy way to make one out of a Napa Filter, which is a very popular method around these parts.

They really have put themselves into quite a pickle when most of the men who are in the police and military (more so that level of the military) hail from gun culture.
The pimply, androgynous, cry babies of men that typically champion gun control in the streets would be loathe to actually act on their gun confiscation policies.
I don't know if I recently said it on this site or another site, but it's the same reason why secession would ultimately work this time around. Would men of California and New York be willing to take up arms and shed blood in order to keep Texas in the Union (most of our existing military is from Texas)?
New England ain't made of the same stuff it was in 1861. Part of the reason why I left for the warm embrace of the South.
None of those two facts disprove my point. Of course abortion would rise as unwanted pregnancies rise,but if the government really had a problem with abortion they would simply outlaw it, or put more regulations on it. But birth control is easier and cheaper. But rising pregnancy rates also means that there wil be higher birth rates, period. And that once again leads to the issue of "overpopulation".
Being "safe" is not sleeping around in the first place. Giving young teens birth control without even having to notify or consult their parents only promotes irresponsible sex.

XD I don't have a silencer! I really don't. But buddy was telling us spirit,and how when he went to Tractor Supply and asked someone where the Napa Filters were, the response heft was,"Oh, are you going to make a silencer, too?"
Depends on the round, but yeah. The Chechens made a lot of...inventive silencers for rifles chambered in .22 LR (if I remember right). Russia lost a few of their Spetsnaz to silent neck shots.
