did you learn anything by studying the law?
Why do they say lawyers are practicing? Oh nevermind ..... Sorry could not resist.
.
did you learn anything by studying the law?
I do not know why I bother.
What did animal sacrifice teach you about Gods forgivess Ken. Do you even know?
we ar not under it, because it was just a tutor for us, it shows us what Christ would do and what we would do.
did you learn anything by studying the law?
if you see a brother sin, and do not confront him, you might as well be giving him permission to sin.
correction is judgmental if it is overdone or not done the right way, or done to a non believer who does nto have the capacity or knowledge to be corrected.
and you know why I agree with that statement if it were possible beyond 100%
Because I was a believer my entire life, but was lied to by every preacher I ever met. I was told your saved, and yet I did vile sinful things constantly, and then years later, Yahweh chastened me. Im thankful to Yahweh that He connected to me, but im, IDK if angry or hurt, im not sure, but bothered by the fact that no fellow humans ever said, hey your not supposed to be doing that according to Scripture. How can I let my bother fall into a pit... think about a little sheep falling into a pit and breaking his sheep leg.... how much more a human.....
Duh,,,,LOL....we are on the same page I think. We 'do' because 'He (Jesus) Did' ..... we don't 'do' to earn we 'do' because of Love. We do however have an advocate in Jesus. I am quite sure you do not beleive that we earn salvation by works. I would hope that you belive that works are a product of salvation initiated by faith that works by love. Correct? Please don't say " I will answer this if....." LOL
Galatians 3:22-27
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
The bible says that we look back at the cross, not back at the law because the law of written ordinances has been blotted out. Why should I or others worry about what the law said on how somebody was forgiven of sins when our forgiveness does not come from animal sacrifices. Our forgiveness comes through His personal sacrifice on the cross. Why do you want to push knowing about the animal sacrifices when they don't apply to us.
It showed us our sins, and the need for a Savior because the animal sacrifices did not truly forgive them of their sins.
Romans 8:3
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
it is one thing to say Gods grace is sufficient, and if your saved your still saved (if your really saved at all)
it is a far other thing to not show in scripture why it is wrong, and seek to get to the point of why your struggling with that sin.
We all have sin issues. Some sins are worse that others. and need stronger discipline. but we all have our besetting sins, if we say we do not. we are lying to ourselves.
and?
the law could not save you because the flesh of bulls and goats could never remove sin.
what does that have to do with what the law taught concerning how sin is forgiven.
You still have not understood the law. thats why your still trying to be saved by it (even though you can not see it)
OK, ahh so I think I can make you guys understand me a bit more.
SO, im sinful I know I am, it does not control me, but yes I do error at times.
But for me, nobody but me, IMO, in my vision, and I know that means nothing it is His way.
But in my mind, even if He came down right now and said, "you are going to the kingdom" or even if He said, "you are not going to the kingdom" I would, I believe I would still seek the same things I do now. Still promote righteousness, and still seek to share and learn. In my heart I am bothered by the world, I will just say that. Until the world changes, I think the overwhelming sin (overflowing cup of babylon) will always bother me, .... me, former super heathen, brought out of the fire by Yah. praise Yah. I want to thank Him by doing what He says, I know im weak, but I still seek Him.
QUESTION: Do you all here really think we are divided that much on what we are saying over and over?
Do we agree that works alone cannot save us?
Do we believe that Jesus paid the price for sin?
Do we beleive that when we confess our sins he is faithful to forgive them?
One MORE question.... The word does say that he who says he has no sin is deceived. So, we all have sin or a sin nature within. Do we beleive this is covered by the Blood. Not an excuse to sin but is it covered? Is a so called back slidden Christian going to hell?

It does not matter if your talking about mosaic law or not.
If your going to talk about forgiveness of sin, Your forced to talk about mosaic law. to deny this, is to deny how sin is forgiven.
Paul said the law was aour tutor. it showed us what we need to know about Christ and forgiveness.
ignoring this is your problem. it is why you can not see how sin is truly forgiven.
Well. you still need the tutor. because the law has not shown you yet how to have forgiveness of sin.
the more i grow. the more i learn about love.
the more I love, the more I see when I am focused on self.
the more I see this, the more sinful I realize I am, and how utterly sinful I was. and sometimes still am.
this keeps me running the race. and keeps me focused on Christ and not on myself. because as a child. I realise just how helpless I am.
Dude, again why do I even bother.Once again you make false claims toward me showing that you do not even actually read what I say.
I once again have never said that I am trying to be saved by the law, and I have always that is always said the mosaic laws have been blotted out.
SAME HERE, and I believe that is going to be a constant until our physical time is up.
you seem to take pleasure in misunderstanding scripture...Christ came not only to forgive but to take away sins...that is why one's sins are remitted through repentance and baptism....not just forgiven but taken away...that is what gives us a clear conscience
Hebrews 10:4
For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Hebrews 10:11
And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
1 John 3:5
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
Romans 11:27
For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Jesus Christ is the sacrifice that takes away sins...sins committed after the remission of sins must be confessed and repented of
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Dude, again why do I even bother.
it is obvious you do not even read a word I write.
There are two parts to the law.
the problem (moral law) which proves we are sinners.
The solution (sacrificial law) which shows us how to be saved.
You do not have the problem down, because you evidently do not think your sin is that sinful.
and you do not have the solution down at all. because your still trying to save yourself.
there is law, and there is grace, if your not saved by grace, your trying to be saved by law.
You can deny it a million times, it does not matter, this is what the word says,
and I chose to trust the word. not any man.
