I confess that it is difficult to tell whether you are hearing from the Lord or whether it is your own thoughts. It gets so confusing at times.
I was thinking about something similar, as Iā€™ve been praying about something for some time and it was all heading in one direction. Recently something took place that to me, is a door closing.

Iā€™m thankful that He closes doors for us, but realized that I may have been confusing what I was hearing from the Lord with perhaps what I wanted to hear? Iā€™m not sure.

Scars are badges of honor for having survived. I've been dinged up a tad too over the years. What doesn't kill us can only make us stronger. We are both alive and kicking so there must be an element of truth to that saying. Probably biblical too but I would have to research that.
I believe it could be summed up thusly:

Romans 8:28 :)

Oh thankyou Up. No I have been asking the Lord certain questions about my circumstances and sometimes you may get an answer but it is so soft not "in your face" that it makes you question "Is this you Lord answering".
very much understand and well said, pray goes... yes, no and slow šŸ˜‰
we all should Fervently Pray for One another as we were taught not to go left or or right but straight in the narrow path as we were taught in beginning šŸ‘

Yes I can relate to that, I have the same problem lol. It can be hard but I find that he does talk to us more often than not after all he walked and talked with Adam and Jesus has returned us to that same relationship.

Romans 8:28:)
That one verse alone is sufficient in attempting to understand why God allows certain things to happen, whether perceived as good or bad, to those that love and try to humbly serve the Lord.

The thing is, God does not speak to us as He did for Moses as there is not a bush that burns without ceasing and with an audible fearful voice. It would be great to reach a point in our spiritual lives that what we want to hear is actually what God is saying. There have been many times that when a door closes it seems to slam and I'm left to wonder "What do I do now?" In those times I feel very much alone.

I confess I can rarely make it to midnight any more  For many years while working I stayed up to -or way past- midnight on a regular basis, but these days my bedtime is quite a bit earlier. Sometimes it is a struggle to stay up past 7:30, and often I go to bed right after dinner, even if my dinner is quite early, especially if I have not napped during the day :censored: Like yesterday and the day before; both days I needed to go out, first for lab work, and then a doctor's appointment, and that interfered with my sporadic sleep schedule. Mind you, I am often up at four in the morning :giggle: One day after a particularly early bedtime, I was up at 2 making my morning coffee  And this is why I need naps during the day LOL. I take advantage of my necessary outings to sneak in some grocery shopping :D

My doc confirmed yesterday that I have osteoporosis. I have lost a bit over two inches in height o_O Who knew? LOL. We notice weight gain and growth spurts, but height shrinkage? I had no idea. Osteoporosis is in my family though; two of my brothers have lost height, as did my mother, and my closest sister is osteo confirmed as well.

Sort of like a traffic signal. Just like commuting to work and catching a lot of red lights. Once in awhile it would be refreshing getting a few green lights and perhaps an occasional yellow.

I enjoy (or need) an occasional nap too. Since coming to Tennessee and living in motel rooms waiting for our new home to close my sleeping schedule is out of whack. It does not help either being temporarily out of work as my daily routine was based on my work schedule. My main duties now is to each morning clean out the kitty litter pan and take out the trash. First thing I want to happen after we finally move in is to get another job even if it is only part-time. Right now I feel like I'm in a life raft drifting aimlessly.

I could use a little warming as it is cold outside. Starting to miss Florida big-time.
