my aunt was eating anything she wanted and she was not skinny, but medium I guess and then she found out that her cholesterol was sky high too and guess what? she was eating a big bowl of ice cream almost every night and cooking in lots of butter

so she quit quickly too but it is my understanding that exercise combined with better diet is best for lowering cholesterol

I think you can't just cut everything out. I find if I do that, I'm going to have an eating binge sooner or later LOL! and I can binge

so I eat smaller amounts but i love and I mean love vegetables and salads and such but the glitch is that I will put a spoonful of mayo on my salad on top of the leaner dressing...but it works for me

it's hard not to eat tasty things when they are in the house and also easier to eat less if you are alone I find
That's exactly what I found out...binging

This reveals the same kind of conscience that was hyper-sensitized to the wrong kinds of things, that Joseph Prince, in his book Destined to R̶u̶i̶n̶ Reign, revealed that he had. Hyper grace seems to appeal to people who were damaged by this kind of hyper legalistic view of GOD. I can't even imagine the concept of considering speeding to be a sin, nor Joseph Prince's obsession with confessing every little thought that he believed was sin. Yet hyper grace believers seem to have viewed GOD this way and think everyone else does as well.

It's interesting how you and Peter post as if you are board certified psychologists who somehow can "tap in" to what people here on the forums think and even WHY they think it. (without even meeting anyone)
 Maybe you haven't heard??... but all human beings are flawed in themselves and NEED a Savior to save them because they can't think right thoughts without Him.

It is shocking and amazing for us flawed Christians to find out that IN Christ we are no longer looked on that way by God who is now our Father. That IN Christ we are seen as righteous sons and daughters. When we find out that we are not doooomed to live a life of dread, sorrow and regret., but to the total contrary we are HEALED and made RIGHT and wake up each day with renewed HOPE. That IS major good news.
All humans are damaged. It takes the Holy Spirit to reveal this truth. Have you ever heard that you need to first admit you have a problem before it can be dealt with and fixed?

It's like this HRFTD.., when a person realizes they are not ruined for life but that God sent His Son Jesus to save us from ruin....those people are totally shocked! And then., as if that isn't good news enough!!.... we find out we can reign in life through Jesus Christ., sin no longer 'reigns' in our mortal bodies., no more to be subject to sin and it's incessant control and demands in our minds. Our minds and hearts are set free.

Don't knock it till you've tried it. It's called the Gospel of grace and truth!
:D

I was hoping that you were going to get into the hours you spent watching and reading hyper grace videos and books that led you to your conclusions. Oh well, maybe next time.

There is nothing like sharing a testimony of what the Lord has done in our hearts and lives.,only to have HRFTD get to mocking. Cee has many good things to share that are not up for debate., how do you mock a personal testimony? You need a do over HRFTD., a major one. Your mocking of people here is past annoying. You need a new past time!!

There’s a big difference between knowing what something says and knowing what it means. Millions of Christians know what the Bible says. But many do not know what it means because that can only be revealed by the Spirit.
Man does not need the enlightening ministry of the Holy Spirit to understand the law; the law was given specifically for the natural man. We need the Holy Spirit to open our minds to the things having to do with the unfathomable riches of His love and grace, those things that “God has freely given us.”
Just as the same sun that melts wax hardens clay, the same message of God’s grace that softens the heart of the humble hardens the proud. The proud cannot receive grace because the proud will not receive grace.

We tried that, it did not work with some people. they do not see themselves as the pharisee..

Exactly., a person must first admit they have a problem before it can be dealt with and fixed.

Very good words. Never heard of Bob George. (Sounds like BoyGeorge LOL) But., anyway...,
 the analogy of the sun that melts the wax also can bake the clay is spot on! Yet I still have a hard time understanding how anyone would reject the wonders of grace! That kind of love is the ONLY kind of love that can save us. It is unmerited unearned and all coming from ONE side...JESUS. "God HIMSELF will provide a lamb" It all begins with God reaching out to man. Man has no ability to know a good thing when we see it. Man's heart without God is desperately wicked and can't be known until the Holy Spirit reveals the awful truth of our inability but then comes to our rescue to show us HIS TOTAL ABILITY.

AMAZING GRACE how sweet the sound., that saved a wretch like me!

Last night there were a bunch of links in my email and I listened to most of this message and thought how helpful it was and how it could also help anyone here on CC who need to hear the words of life too. The truth does set us free.

I wish every Christian who is feeling alone and defeated would listen to this message and take in the truths from the Bible the preacher shares here. The message about who we are IN Christ and why we are not defeated when we know and walk in that truth. The reason so many believers don't have victory is because they have forgotten they were cleansed (and also) that they do not know what all that being cleansed really means on God's side of things.

Are you defeated today and can't even imagine that any "words" could salvage your life? The Words of the Bible can take you from hopelessness to hopefulness and a sure foundation that will last each and every time you practice His presence. And practicing His presence is also being in a place to hear His Word or read His Word or be with people who share His Word. He gave the church Pastors and teachers and evangelists as gifts. We need to take full advantage of the many gifts Jesus gives us.
Amen!

Just a simple question today.

If who we are in Christ (new creations) doesn't matter, why did Paul continually stress his new identity in Christ?

People stuck in a D.I.Y self-righteousness/holiness mindset will always find the reality of the new creation in Christ - created in righteousness and holiness - it will be a stumbling block to them as the natural mind of man cannot understand this spiritual reality in Christ. This is also why they continually fight against the grace of Christ through faith only for salvation and righteousness.

This is a spiritual battle which cannot be fought with human reasoning and the words they see with their natural eyes. There is a blindness that comes with the mindset of "doing in order to receive".

It is part of the veil that trips people up and which is why Paul says with the reading of Moses ( which is the law - which is self-effort of the flesh to achieve things from God ) is given - the veil remains. But if they turn to Jesus only - then that veil will be lifted from their spiritual eyes and they will see the beauty of the Lord in all that He has done for us that believe and receive.

The lie is simple. We are a new creation in Christ yet we still live in sin.

The truth is we are new creation in Christ walking in purity and holiness, resolving
our sins through repentance, confession and forgiveness while purifying our hearts,
resolving our emotions by spending time communing with Christ and understanding the cross.

It is little wonder the mystics who believe they have already arrived yet dwell in sin
learn to imagine the sin is not there and try and focus on their identify of perfection, which
is not yet achieved or real. It is like a terminally ill patient dreaming they are cured and
healthy while they are slowly dying. Each day the disease makes further progress, but
it is so slow they do not notice.

Now ofcourse one can invent all the alternative versions of why ones position is great
and the opposition just cannot accept the truth, but the reality is a lot simpler.

Until you resolve all the sin issues in your life you do not see God correctly.
And if you cannot resolve the sin issues, you are not believing Christ and His word.

I have yet to discover a sin issue that Jesus cannot resolve, but I can testify of
many who want the benefits of the Kingdom but refuse the price.

He didn't. He gloried in Christ and the cross. He esteemed himself to be nothing and found everything. Hyper grace esteems itself to be the righteousness of GOD and loses everything.

Jesus has already resolved the 'sin issue'. We Christians are new creations in Christ walking in purity and holiness and yet we still sin. Not we still live in sin. It is the mystic who denies his sin and pretends he is something he is not.

That would be hyper grace.

Paul gloried in Christ and the cross by which he had been made into a new creation and the righteousness of God....in Christ. In Christ. In Christ. In Christ.

We Christians are new creations in Christ walking in purity and holiness and yet we still sin.

Now the problem is this language is it is not meaning what I am meaning. This is walking in
imputed purity and holiness, not real purity and holiness.

It is why so many get confused, you use the same language but mean something different.
I call this being dishonest and deceptive. If someone has a pure heart, that is what they
have. A sinful heart, with unresolved sin is not a pure heart.

This is the denial I am talking about and the double speak that goes on all the time.
If we talk about resolving sin, you say that is Gods job.
If we talk about purity and righteousness, you say we have that, while it is just imputed.

It is not surprising the difference between where you actually are and how God regards
you are being confused to make it appear there is no difference between us when it is
like night and day.
