As humans..we have freedom of choice and can walk away from God but he patient waits and persues us like the prodigal son who returns home..but he doesnt take our salvation from us..thats thr whole beauty of the cross..so if salvation were lost due to our sin..we would ask forgivenesd..get our salvation back only to lose it again the next time we sin? Thats what Ralph is implying..due to our lack of forgiveness we lose our salvation..MY God doesnt play games that way..
I think Ralph's saying what the parable says - there are some who abandon the faith because of the hardship it brings.

I don't understand why Ralph is being opposed. He's completely right. It says that the 2nd type soil believes with joy, but falls away from the faith because of affliction and persecution. Their faith is tested and it fails. It isn't a deep enduring faith, because these aren't deep, committed people; they do things for the occasion. As long as believing is easy and it doesn't cost them anything, they are happy to believe for whatever worldly benefit they can derive from it. But when they stand to lose the good favor of men who oppose the gospel. they become offended with Christ, are again ensnared by the world and its ways, and abandon the faith.
And these are the ones sown on the rocky ground, who whenever they hear the word immediately receive it with joy. And they have no root in themselves, but are for the occasion only. Then when affliction or persecution comes because of the word, immediately they are ensnared. Mark 4:16-17
And the ones upon the rock are the ones whenever they hear, with joy they receive the word; and these have no root, which for a time believe, and in time of testing they leave. Luke 8:13
And what was sown on the rocky ground—this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy. But he has no root in himself, but is only for the occasion, and when affliction or persecution happens because of the word, immediately he is ensnared. Matthew 13:20-21

no root <- not rooted in Christ

God isnt decieved by some disingenuous faith that can be walked away from no matter how "glad" it makes you

no root <- no ability to grow <- no new heart <-no quickened spirit <- not born again <- not saved

many repobate who love nothing more than their sin also say they believe

and do in their knowledge accept the fact Jesus is no liar

-> but in their heart reject Him and are given over <- never saved

God knew the end from the start
these are not His children

Amen brother! Also NO CROP/FRUIT "except" in the 4th soil. It amazes how the same people who point to James chapter 2 and shout "faith without works is dead" from the roof tops will turnaround and say that "fruitless" faith (shallow, temporary belief) in the parable of the soils represents saving faith.

(the seed is the truth(of Jesus...who is the truth)... the man is the soil.... the seed never was rooted in the soil

The first type of soil refutes this. The devil snatches the word from the 1st soil type so that it doesn't believe the word and be saved. The 2nd soil type does receive the word gladly in their hearts and are therefore saved. Receiving the word is what saves.

And the ones by the way are the ones hearing; then comes the devil and takes the word from their heart, lest having believed they should be saved. Luke 8:12

You're distorting the text. The word is received and believed in the heart, but because those persons have no root in themselves, they become offended and fall away when tested.

Having no root in themselves means that they don't know themselves. They are shallow, worldly people who live for the occasion, as the text says. Creatures ruled by their senses and worldly longings

Why would they take root in themselves? In that case it would be a sure deal to fall away when tested..we need to take root in Christ..only THEN will we not fall away when tested but perervere as refined by fire...

you cant flip flop and play word games with scripture

yes those BY THE WAY SIDE (<-first soil)have the word taken from their heart LEST HAVING BELIEVED<- did not believe <- they should be saved

but we were talking about the second soil <-

6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

this is a case of a lacking faith <-
dead faith <- no root <- no heart of flesh but a heart of stone

these can be likened to the reprobate <- God is not decieved by this sort of lacking belief

they arent given over from saved children

they are not of us
and He makes it manifest

Its offucial..youre completely off your rocker..lol. You dont listen to other people but are entagled with confusion and wish to bring tgat on others dispite others showing you truth. Its not my job to argue with you but pray that God will open your eyes and give you wisdom and understanding as people have been patient with your continued stubborness...
Yes, I know. Because I don't agree with your doctrine I'm crazy, don't listen, confused, and whatever 'tgat' is. And that you're not here to argue and that you'll pray God will open my eyes and bring me to the truth. Just make sure Ed Rappaport (my real name) gets put on your prayer list as you wrestle in prayer for me. :)

I thought 'real' believers never leave. So, you are either saying that the Parable of the Prodigal Son is not a proof text for 'once saved always saved', or you believe the new Freegrace version of once saved always saved which says that even if you leave the faith you are still saved. Which are you?

.so if salvation were lost due to our sin.
No, salvation is lost due to your unbelief.

This is the MAIN reason people can not hear what I'm saying. They instantly think that I'm saying salvation is lost by sinning. I'm saying salvation is lost by a return to unbelief. That is what the Galatians were doing. Paul warned them they will lose the efficacy of Christ in justification and will not be heirs if they fall away from faith and trust in Christ for justification.

.we would ask forgivenesd..get our salvation back only to lose it again the next time we sin?
No. Once God turns you over to your unbelief and you lose salvation, that's it. You don't get a second chance to be born again. God does not allow his Son to be re-crucified and put to open shame that way.

Thats what Ralph is implying..due to our lack of forgiveness we lose our salvation.
Ultimately, unforgiveness is a sign of unbelief. Ultimately, the forgiven Christian who does not forgive is living away from God in unbelief. If he does not repent in the space God provides, he will be condemned as an unbeliever when Jesus comes back to settle accounts.

.MY God doesnt play games that way..
Reread Matthew 18:23-35 again. He WILL do that. Or do you not believe the scriptures?

Like I say, getting red-pilled is not easy:

Red pill and blue pill
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_pill_and_blue_pill

The red pill and its opposite, the blue pill, are a popular cultural meme, a metaphor representing the choice between:
The terms, popularized in science fiction culture, are derived from the 1999 film The Matrix. In the film, the main character Neois offered the choice between a red pill and a blue pill by rebel leader Morpheus. The red pill would free him from the enslaving control of the machine-generated dream world and allow him to escape into the real world, but living the "truth of reality" is harsher and more difficult. On the other hand, the blue pill would lead him back to stay in the comfortable simulated reality of the Matrix.

Apparently, the interpretation provided by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is insufficient for you.
Apparently, the whole counsel of scripture that shows us God is the one who testifies and that his testimony is in everyone who believes is insufficient for you. And you said this was about the word of God. If it was you'd acknowledge the scriptural proof I showed you. But as is being proven, this was about you attacking me with your meaningless contention because I don't agree with your doctrine. And I showed your contention to be meaningless and baseless with the scriptures. Accept it and move on.
