NO what I'm saying is just the opposite. People have been getting saved for 2000 years, not counting those who were saved by grace because in Gods promise of salvation before the evil of crusifixon was concieved by evil men.

Saved by grace came first and still over rules faith and works. Because Grace gave us something to have faith in then works becomes manifest as a result, each according our own measure, where little is given less is expected so to speak. Where much is given much is expected.

ISAIAH 55; 10 & 11 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and florish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth. It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Don't be hasty to judge others. If they have heard the word of the lord, no matter where they heard it and they believe it they may be more saved than you think. Call no man a fool, lest ye risk hells fire.

hey ralphie, got a question- does Jesus save us, or does Jesus give us a chance to be saved, but it is up to us to do our part? which one?
Jesus saves you.
He does that because you trust in him.
And last time I checked trust in Jesus was still not a work of trying to save oneself.

No, what happened is your presentation did not stand up to cross examination.

I have to say, I'm really disappointed in you. I thought if anyone here would be able to honestly acknowledge, or at least just respect some additional insight about this subject outside of their own it would be you. I was wrong.
Cross examination, now you even sound like a lawer. Well, I know a really good one. JESUS OF NAZARETH.

You are the master of irony and your psychological games don’t work on me. There is joy that is the fruit of the Spirit (which saved believers exhibit) and there is joy (emotional response) that shallow, temporary belief exhibits. The shallow ground hearer represents the latter.

There is only one person in this forum who I consider to not be saved. And not because of what he believes, but because of how he did not want to settle something in the Spirit of Christ he was holding against me. He blew it off and is continuing to hold what someone else said against me and keeps bringing it up. So I don't assume people are unsaved just because of what they believe about 'once saved always saved'. I exercise my right to determine who I will consider to be a brother on how they treat me.

And of course we all know that to be a good Berean and cross examine what you've been told is wrong.

(I knew you'd love the 'cross examination' reference, lol.)

But your purposely ignoring that the 2nd type of soil who is exhibiting joy has the word of God in it. Not satan's word, not Joseph Smith's word, not the Pope's......God's word.

Look what John said about the people who have the testimony and word of God in them.....they believe:

"10The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself.."-1 John 5:10

But you say people can also not be saved and have the testimony of God in them. And besides, Jesus himself said the 2nd type of soil person believed!

Call me a lawyer if you want, people. I'm just showing you what the Bible says in plain words. If you want to resist them because they make you uncomfortable that's up to you. I'm just showing you there's something on the other side of the 'once saved always saved' blinders you're wearing that you're not seeing but which exists nonetheless. Just because you don't want to see it doesn't mean it isn't there.

It could be that such persons truly believe, but have no root in themselves to be steadfast in their faith in the face of persecution and afflictions.

Take another blue pill, Jewel. Take another blue pill. It'll keep you in the comfort and safety and blissful ignorance of the illusion.

It takes courage to take the red pill and see the uncomfortable reality of the truth. I know. But truth loving, honest people are going to do it.
Like i said..i want a purple pill..definately nit the pill you take..having a bitter stubborn argumentative spirit...:(

Berean isn't in my bible dictionary. Grace is though.
Hmm, interesting. Look who now wants to be the lawyer.

10 "The brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 Now these (Bereans) were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. "-Acts 17:10-11

We need to be noble-minded people and examine the scriptures for ourselves and stop only listening to the programmed, narrow indoctrinations of our church leaders. I'm not seeing that noble-mindedness in this forum.

The only bitter attitudes I've seen are from some of those who argue against Ralph. Ralph is usually very cordial.

is it your position.... those who have no root in them

the 2nd soil

represent born again <- saved believers <- new hearts <- adopted children <- enduring the chastening of God <- quickened spirit

It could be that such persons truly believe, but have no root in themselves to be steadfast in their faith in the face of persecution and afflictions.
It really is that simple.

They believe and are saved by that belief, but since the word is not deeply rooted in them the word is only retained until persecution and hardship comes as a result of that word. But this simple truth that Jesus is teaching is going to be rejected if one is determined to not examine the matter for themselves and blindly go with the church is teaching them that contradicts what Jesus said. A person has to ask themselves why they are not willing to consider other thought and insight outside of their own. Obviously, they want to stay in their comfort zone.

How can a plant that is growing in the soil have NO, as in ZERO root?
Obviously, Jesus is saying they have no deep, well grounded root, not no root at all. Plants simply do not exist in the soil with ZERO root. Come on, be reasonable. Stop clinging to unreasonable arguments to defend a sacred, but false doctrine.

so you agree

the 2nd soil are unsaved... lacking genuine faith:unsure:
They become unsaved after the word is uprooted from their heart.

But the church is sure the word is never uprooted in unbelief from a person's heart because that would mean they never 'really' believed to begin with. I mean traditional 'once saved always saved' says that. At least the new Freegrace 'once saved always saved' acknowledges that the 2nd type of soil really did believe and is saved. They just say it remains saved even after it stops believing.

It seems bitter and argumentative to you because you are emotionally attached to your 'once saved always saved' beliefs and you get angry when someone else says you're wrong. You're projecting your anger on to those who oppose you. Are you in the United States? This is exactly what is happening in the truth movement presently advancing in American politics. The Luciferian pedophile leftists of the deep state are being exposed and they are coming out with all kinds of accusations against the right that they themselves are guilty of. I see this same projection in the church among those being challenged in their long standing, erroneous doctrines of 'once saved always saved'.

I've been hoping this same 'truth movement' would occur in the church. I don't see it yet. Not sure it's going to happen, but then again I never imagined, even remotely, that it could happen in American politics.

well when we look to what the scripture says

and not
blindly go with what the church is teaching and contradict what Jesus said

2nd soil
matthew

20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

Mark 4:17
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

.... it doesnt say some root for a time...

it says no root

what do you believe the root you proclaim they had some of

which scipture says they had not.....

represents?

I'll have you know, I didn't get my bible education in church, or school. I got it by reading the bible. If a pastor says something that seems questionable to me. I go look it up and let the spirit counsel me. If it still dosn't make sense I ask several people more educated than I, go back and study again. If I still can't make sense out of it I let it go. I wasn't raised Christian but I've heard enough obvious lies to cast doubt much of what is taught commonly. I also believe the lord rewards my efforts. To learn his ways and spread the word. JESUS SAVES!
