Pardon me but you kept on about it so my most recent response putting "prophets" in quotes should have led you to understand that I had to further clarify what had been said when I said no more prophets only witnesses
And you now add that we are to test the spirits to make sure they don't contradict HIS FIRST WITNESSES?
So when HIS FIRST WITNESSES were being taught by GOD all the things that were hidden they were as "prophets" revealing all the hidden truths that were hidden until the SPIRIT of CHRIST had been fully poured out upon those who would believe whom HE would send as HIS WITNESSES to HIS disciples who have believed in HIM who would be led by HIS SPIRIT: those disciples yesterday, today and tomorrow who all hold to THE TESTIMONY of JESUS and testify to THE TRUTH which GOD has revealed by HIS SPIRIT to those whom HE has called to testify to and point all to HIS SON so that men might be reconciled to GOD. First and foremost in by and through THE SON
The gospel is about entering into the Kingdom of heaven. You become part of a family,
and in all families there are roles for specific messages or encouragement.
John in revelation shows this when writing about the 7 churches. This equally could be
said about the "churches" today and certainly about the prosperity gospel and all the
believe and be healed group.
And I do not think there will ever be an end to revelation. What we know now is much
greater than what we knew in the past. As this context changes so does how we express
the message itself. Take for instance views of the role of women in the church or homosexuality,
all of which are very difficult subjects. What about sex change operations, and how you deal
with abusive partners. What about sexual behaviour itself and choosing a partner.
Now there are things that have made such behaviour "safer", and many loving parents have
gay children, or ones with other dilemmas. We certainly need more clarity than just a simplistic
that is sin. Or maybe your view is still in the more simplistic views of the past.
