What is the point in being a prophet?

I know this is my first thread, but I came to this site to ask people's opinions.

God has called me to be a prophet, but I don't understand the point of it. What good is it to know what is going to happen? What good is it to tell people what's going to happen?

When I do tell people what is going to happen, they don't believe me and they come up with any explanation they can to say that what God has shown me will happen won't happen.

Deuteronomy 18:21,22 gives the test of a prophet: "[SUP]21 [/SUP]You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” [SUP]22 [/SUP]If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed." I will pass that test when what God has shown me comes to pass. The only problem is that when what I say comes to pass, there will not be anyone alive or on this forum to verify it.

Even the most devout Christians on this forum will not be able to accept what I have to say. God is going to do a thing so great and terrible that you cannot even fathom it, let alone accept it. And again I ask, what good is it for me to tell anyone? I fear, and think I know deep down in my heart, that God has raised me up to be the unheard prophet: a raving madman preaching from the street corner about what He is going to do and that no one will listen or heed my warning. And then it will be too late.

again, no one has the office of an OT prophet and you keep quoting OT prophet test scriptures

My simple point is people can call themselves whatever they like, it is the message
they bring that makes the difference.

So how can anyone attack another for saying they are something, without actually
delivering the message that would determine the truth or falsehood of the claim.

It is like is someone said God called them as a healer, but they prayed for people
and they are still ill, you would say they were wrong.

So I do not know what voiceinthewild is other than a poster, because his message
seems a little lost, and this thread is almost like, I was hired to do this job, but I
do not know what to do... Sounds like they hired the wrong guy...

Have you ever seen X-factor. Along come these people claiming they can sing,
and most cannot hold a note, but occasionally some blow you away.

Voiceinthewild, today are many false prophets on the way. If you goin to say something what is not written in the bible, as it seems from you last words, then be careful, what you say will judge you, if it is wrong. If I read the bible I do not need a special prophecie, about what terrible time will come for the world. And if i see in my todays world. It is not so far away!

I know right. I think about it all the time.

In the end, I can only tell you what the scripture says, "Come out of her my people." That means, leave America. Move. Does that seem uncomfortable? Of course it is. It's been uncomfortable for everyone God has called to move (Abraham, Israel, the Exodus, etc.)

Other than that, salvation doesn't change. Those who listen to the Lord and trust in Him will be saved - both here and in the hereafter. If you choose to stay in America, however, you have failed to follow God's warning of "Come out of her my people" and "run for your lives". If you stay, you didn't heed God's call to save your own life.

I wish there was more to say to make it all better.

voiceinthewild, have you decided not to answer my last pm? It's okay if you don't want to talk further, but I'm just checking that you got it. My intent is selfish really - I want to know what part of what you said came directly from the Spirits' confirmation and thought if I could share with you the carefulness that it took me years to learn, that we could maybe backtrack, by memory, to cull that out.

I know the excitement when God begins to confirm a thing to you through His Spirit. And I know the mistakes I made in my zeal, by adding a whole lot more - my own thoughts and opinions, the thoughts of others - to what had specifically been confirmed to me. I know it's hard because He speaks so...softly.

It's okay though if you don't want to speak with me any more. Just making sure you got the last pm.

The Jews are waiting for a sign to return back to Israel. God will move upon many of them to leave their countries and head there when things are coming to a head. Not all will leave, but many will. Those that stay in America will not survive.

As for where Americans should go, there is no safe place. The world be thrown into Great Tribulation. Definitely not Canada or Mexico. Absolutely not anywhere with 50 miles of a foreign American military base or American allies' military bases that house strategic nuclear weapons systems or allied bases that may pose a threat of retaliation to a Russian or Chinese attack (especially South Korea or Taiwan.) Think strategically.

I've come to realize that since I started this thread. I've always know that, but what I couldn't understand was how knowing certain destruction would happen could help anyone. I don't think the point of knowing the future of this world at any point is meant to help anyone, since the future of the eternal is the same through the ages and the message remains unchanging (that is Christ is Lord and He has an eternal kingdom).

I believed the purpose of knowing the future was a testimony to the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ, but I couldn't understand how it was supposed to help anyone since it was too hard a truth to hear or believe. As all the things I've known would come to pass come to pass, I try to remember everyday to share Christ and His grace as much as possible.

On April 14th, I had a dream and I believe God wants me to share this dream.

I was a passenger in a car with a Senator from Illinois. He was sitting in the backseat. I turned around and told him I was God's prophet. He looked at me like I was crazy. I asked him, "Don't you think it's strange that you are in a car with God's prophet? Would you like to know what God has prophesied against America?" I could see the unbelief on his face as he smirked and said "sure."

I told him that God will destroy America and completely burn and destroy her. I told him when America goes to war with North Korea and China, the Russians will surprise attack us with an all-out nuclear attack. It will be a nuclear gambit for the Russians, but they will win. He scoffed at me when I told him they would win. I told him they would win because God will allow them to win, to punish America for all her sins. I told him the only way to survive was for people to turn from their sinful ways and trust what Jesus had done for them.

I suddenly realized we were in the car heading to Springfield and I was fearful because I knew that Springfield was one of the targets of the nuclear attack. Then I woke up.

The last new revelation was spoken to through John . When he finished the Spirit of Christ added a warning to those who say "thus says the lord. I had a dream or a vision. . "believe not" . A prophet is one who declares the word of God. All on this message board as prophets declare the bible is the authority of of God. Sent by God as apostles with the word.

Even if they believed they could that still wouldn't liken them to Moses so why do you consider them prophets of the LORD?
