@posthuman could you answer my question:

Why does the Bible say God wants ALL men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. BUT then doesnt give all men the ears to hear?

Is there any verses in the bible that reconcile these two things?
i don't think i can actually answer it; i think it's a profound mystery. Romans 9 comes close, but Paul says 'what if?' there as though it hasn't been revealed to him either.

i'll think more and when i am back at a computer where i can type more easily try to get back to you. for sure.

tbh i am still thinking about bricks, dust + water + grass that has died, have been meditating on it all day while at work. my wife and i had a short but awesome conversation about it this morning :)

i'd worry more about what God calls those who use made up Latin to verbally assail members here. That isn't of God though they'll likely claim it is so. One could thumb through the entire new testament and guarantee themselves prior to engaging in that search that they'll never find Christ nor a one of the Apostles treating any member of the saints the same way.
Though Jesus calling out the temple elders as what they were is immaterial, since they were of Satan, as Jesus said, and not open to the new covenant arrival, likely such one's will compare themselves to Jesus in usage of their vulgar language against members of the church here.
But hey, it is on topic right? They are an example of that Adamic Problem.
We were made to fail so we could seek our way back to the God that separated himself from us after all things in the garden went according to plan.
Proverbs 16:9
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

I cant understand this: How is responding to the gospel BOASTING? HOW? When has anyone boasted about being saved from the sea when they are drowning? "AND I TOOK THE ROPE MAN, I TOOK IT AND HELD ON TO IT MAN I SAVED MYSELF FROM DROWNING". - said nobody ever

Also could you answer me: How can you say to so many people we preach the wrong gospel, when in fact its the same gospel I have heard calvinists preach many many times. A.k.a Romans 3:21-26 : 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 ??
I would suggest you not let your peace be invaded by a judgment afforded from anyone at anytime that appears to profess themselves a sermonizer when they are false in that claim first.

I don't think that she did that. But I will say that her acusation does not fit into what I understand to be the definition of non sequitur.

Know what you mean. I don't see where this applies to Magenta though. However there is a lacking of the Spirit a few posts up. Your concerns are definitely applicable there. So Pray Lillywolf.

There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

I wasn't referring to her proper Latin.

:p That's because I wasn't speaking of Magenta.

I pray without ceasing. I hope you do as well and in the spirit of that instruction. :)
Personally, I feel I can trust what God tells me. He knew those for whom his Word would hearken as truth and they would follow it to find redemption in Him.
What I call, The Obstinate Damned, that think to troll forums are not what I pray for. God does not hear the prayer of sinners, (John 9:31) why would he hear our prayers on their behalf?
Those that are dead in their sins and some in forums across the net spend years trolling, faking it, and having their fun, a sport of sorts, with actual Christians.
In all that time they're unable to ignore the scriptures that those who care to post to their attention. Even thinking those one's are in Christ when they are not, those truly in the Spirit none the less share scripture after scripture. And when those writings do not get through, those words of the creator of all things, don't make a real dent, those dead in their sins and faking it are dead indeed.
Boy will they not be surprised when they are dead in the flesh. They cannot be. They were told for years what God says. And for years they did not pay attention.

It appears you have no problem chastising me but are strangely silent towards the Calvinists . . . unless, of course you agree with them. That is usually the case in these things.

So, for five minutes you get to feel just like the Saviour! :)

What kills me is that no one has a sense of humor any more. Especially the ones that are wrong most of the time.

Augustine is also one of the big reasons that there is even a Catholic church. During the tribulation all the illegitimate children of Rome will return to the fold--including these Calvinists.
Actually your doctrine, as well as virtually all anti-calvinist's teachings is very close to Rome's teachings. You're swimming in the Tiber and don't even know it.

Yeah......I, in all honesty, was just being silly and not directing it at anyone and now I am getting thumbs down....maybe I need to go back and read the thread to see why people are upset with me for just being silly......

I got a little tired of all the sola's being posted as though that were supposed to impress us that these people know one Latin phrase. Sheesh. My way of saying, 'give it a break' I din't even direct at nobody. But one of the team is now in a sassy mood.

I mean, I'm so uneducated that I probably can't even pronounce Lawd the way they can - so majestic and hierarchical.

But I'm sure the Lawd is impressed . . . NOT!!!

Hey, are you an Augustinian too?
