I agree ...and I did leave out a few words that I should have included. "who could not handle grace and wanted to walk in the law"
it was written to convince them that the messiah had come and fulfilled the scriptures pertaining to the new covenant promised through Jeremiah and the prophets and psalms.

it’s why there’s so many quotes from the psalms and prophets in Hebrews. It is a wealth of knowledge and of immense value to every Christian believer as are the prophets and psalms even the Old Testament is written for the benefit of all Christians who believe in Jesus the messiah and high priest of melchezideks order.

Hello brothers and sisters in Christ,

Anyone has any spiritual gifts? Would you mind sharing if you do?

Peace. Love you all.

JF
Teaching is the primary charism I operate in. But occasionally, I've gotten what I would categorize as words of knowledge. Mostly I have noticed this when praying with people and I prayed about specific details I would not naturally know. Sometimes this has happened where I wasn't praying.

I agree it was written to benefit us, and for our learning…. as the entire Bible was…Just not written directly to us “the church of God” as the 7 church epistles are.

It could not have been an easy transition for them to make…and I understand why they were still zealous for the law; culturally, that was ingrained in them. What puzzles me, is why today…. many Christians want to straddle the fence or put themselves under the law….I assume it’s a self-righteous thing.

Every christian should have the gift of prophecy according to Acts 2.
14But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words. 15For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.b 16But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel:

17“‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares,
that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams;
18even on my male servants and female servants
in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.

It totally confuses me why so many christians believe tounges is the evidence when prophecy is. It's right there in The Book.
Moses declared it in the OT, & still many miss it.
It is my personal opinion that many don't have this Baptism as they claim. My reasoning is they don't show the fruit of it.
My own Baptism had me praising God & quoting scriptures I didn't even know. I was told I didn't have it because I didn't speak in tongues. But I knew something has happened inside of me because there was boldness instead of timidity. New courage, new zeal to search the scriptures & study, a new zeal to pray, & a new understanding of the Kingdom.
Proclaiming His Coming from the Father, His sinless life/ lamb without spot or blemish, HIS Exodus, His Resurrection, our Sanctification, His Holy Spirit Baptism upon His Children, His Witnesses to these things and His Second Coming.

My fingers are always spellinh the as teh = see what i mean!!!
Yes, and there are those words too, which get spelled incorrectly and yet
are a word unto themselves, so they do not get marked as an error...

My last laptop right from the beginning had an issue with the "T" key, so
I was often apologizing for "he" instead of "the" and "hat" instead of that
:giggle:

I like to carefully proof read also, but even then I would not catch them all...

I am shocked you didn't know this.
FYI she said it's misspelled HOD was supposed to be GOD. I'm shocked you did not ask to know what she meant with it.

yeah I think it’s most likely the very thing that blinded them to Christ , the law I mean

“Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: and not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: but their minds were blinded:

for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:12-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

They are the laws letters but don’t see the promises of Christ within it and see the prophets writings but don’t understand it’s all about Jesus coming and how he fulfilled them and set forth the new covenant.

Hebrews is like Paul’s ministry to the Jew first and later to the gentile it’s arguing for Christ out of the law and prophets

“And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭28:23-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Christians should look at Hebrews and look at what it’s quoting from the law and prophets it is one of the most eye opening books in scripture , and informative concerning Jesus and his eternal kingdom.

it also is so full of revelation pertaining to heaven and earth how the earth is only a reflection of things in heaven and the reality of those things coming forth in due time.

well My own opinion is that Adam was but I’m not sure many would agree lol

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I think Christians are the children of God through Christ

“which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭3:38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I would agree as i believe that it was the LORD Himself walking in the Garden with Adam & Eve.
"not that anyone has seen the Father except the One who is from God; only He has seen the Father." - John 6:46

Secondly, the LORD prophesied to serpent/satan in the Garden the Gospel in front of Adam & Eve.

Thirdly the LORD instructed Adam & Eve in the sacrifice of the lamb, which he clothed them with.

yea and determined from the beginning the atonement and faith in the body and blood of the lord from the foundation there when he sacrificed for them

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭13:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Otherwise how could Enoch have walked with God and been translated not seeing death ? Or how could they have called upon his name and been the sons of God ? Only through Christ is my belief

“And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭4:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I believe that he was always there, but others may not agree I’m glad you do ….so I don’t feel Like such a “lone nut “haha if I am nutty at least I have company in you brother lol

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets

. ….Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:22-23, 26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Of the world is is said

“They know not, neither will they understand; They walk on in darkness: All the foundations of the earth are out of course.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭82:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

but of the Christ it is said

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:12
