Your mouth speaks pride and condescension. FYI, I serve terminally ill people, praying with them, spending quality time with them, providing peace, comfort and hope as they prepare to enter their new life.

I laugh with people, cry with people and offer them the only Hope in all existence, the saving grace of Jesus Christ. And not for nothing but there are a heck of a lot more people on this chat site that do a heck of a lot more than that. But I digress, go make a sandwich while casting unfounded judgment upon others.
Saying good works is required is not casting judgment, it is saying the truth, because that is what the scriptures teach. It is because you people falsely believe good works are not required that you get angry with me for saying the truth that the scriptures teach.

Who have I accused? I have only stated a truth, but if you feel accused, then perhaps you yourself fall under one of those.
As well in reading your posts you make your "works" the gold standard.... how about you make Jesus the standard and then tell us how far you get.

We are contending for the Gospel, and do this, because you NULLIFY the work of the cross or make it INSUFFICIENT to save completely!!

We are saved by grace through having faith in Jesus Christ. The word grace means receiving something undeserved. When you work for something you have earned it. And since you are not without sin, you cannot earn your salvation.

Grace is a free and irrevocable gift given to anyone who believes in Jesus Christ and trusts Him fully and completely for their redemption and eternal well-being.

It’s all about Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our Lord and Savior, King of kings and Lord of lords, the Alpha and Omega.

I already believe in Yeshuah, and he is the reason I do good works. If it weren't for my belief for him, I would be out in the world partying and drinking. But because I believe and love Yeshuah, I serve the poor. That is why he said, "if you love me, feed my sheep". And this is contrary to what many so called "believers" do, they merely believe, and think they don't have to do good works and that their mere belief will save them. And they get angry at those who tell them that good works are required, ultimately because they don't want to inconvenience themselves in doing good works, which is why they call doing good works a "burden".

Exactly! This new cat is doing wonderful works by feeding the hungry and he is to be commended, however it has nothing to do with salvation. Our works are but filthy rags.

No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.
You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness.

But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.

Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.

We are obligated to do good works whenever possible, which is why it is written, "whoever knows to do good and does not do it, it is sin unto him". This is why you cannot serve two masters, because serving God requires completely and daily attention, no different than a servant who serves his master daily in his house.

NO OBLIGATIONS.

1 John 3:14 (HCSB)
14 We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.

We LOVE GOD, and LOVE the BRETHREN. It is NOT an OBLIGATION to do what needs to be for PEOPLE YOU LOVE.

1 John 3:16-19 (HCSB)
16 This is how we have come to know love: He laid down His life for us. We should also lay down our lives for our brothers.
17 If anyone has this world’s goods and sees his brother in need but closes his eyes to his ⌊need⌋—how can God’s love reside in him?
18 Little children, we must not love with word or speech, but with truth and action.
19 This is how we will know we belong to the truth and will convince our conscience in His presence,

John 14:15 (HCSB)
15 “If you love Me, you will keep My commands.

It literally is the Definition of LOVE according to GOD.

and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
So, according to Matthew 28:19,20, Yeshua/Jesus has commanded us to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit......that would be the Trinity.

Do you obey that command?

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Do not conflate our stance for God, His Truth and our biblical stance against your false gospel of self help guru salvation with the love of God.....false gospels, like the one you peddle, will not be coddled and or appeased by the fake love your purport!
"you shall know them by their fruit."

I do not know what is worse....your idiotic reply or the other clown that liked your off base judgmental post.....You neither know me or what I do in my life pal....get your head out of the sand, get some facts and then mouth.....you won't last long here pal!
Son, the fruit of your "salvation" is evident once again. And it will "not inherit the Kingdom of God."

"A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the Truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will. " - 2Tim 2:24-26

May God grant you repentance, that you may come to know the Truth.

I was once like you, many many years ago. As you, I thought I was something special, and voiced my ignorant opinion, often making a fool of myself. But then the Lord got a hold of me; I "came to my senses" (as the prodigal son); and I repented (changed my behavior) and He has been revealing Truth to me ever since. As a "servant of the Lord" now, He has given me the gift of teaching, and as I continually "deny myself, pick up my cross daily and follow Him", and "put away childish things" (such as envy, mockery and bullying) He continues to unveil His great plan and purpose for Creation.

"When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things." - 1Cor 13:11

It's time, son. Put away those childish attitudes. You will be blessed more than you can possibly know.
