Note to self, back of on the intellectualism, and refrain from apologetics, unless if situation calls for it, like an emergency firearm

God loves you and accepts you. His work is before Him concerning ALL of us and He is well able to complete what He starts!

No worries. We will all be like Him (Yeshua/Jesus) when He is finished. Chin up! Keep moving forward!(y)

If God says, "do not worry, I will guide you" I can be thankful for that as well
This is an interesting awareness, as in sensing or hearing a still small voice

Unless GOD opens their eyes by faith they will die in their sins........end of story
Adding this here

If we put this together, eyes are opened by faith, and that can be evidence for assurance

May we not be blind to evidence

If I may...

What I perceive FHS, is that you are judging. I don't mean this as an insult, but we all can easily fall into this if we don't watch.

You aren't to judge yourself either. When we judge, we lose our identity. And our identity is not our self. That I as in I am crucified is translated as ego which is the fallen heart of every human being. When born again, that I is no longer active but is crucified. Yet, our old way of thinking must understand this and be renewed in the truth. So...what is our identity?

Our identity is Jesus and His life. His perfect life that fulfilled the laws of God for each and every man/woman. He did this for us. And this is the good news. We are safe in Him. He has overcome all things for us.

When we don't realize these things, we are subject to being overcome by what is past issues.

The churches failure has been to know and understand the power of the Cross. But, this is changing. So get ready!
Good grief FHS, That’s not at all what I said nor what I believe.

In Him. Our identity is in Him. A fixed position,

Plus I’ve never heard what you just posted from anyone except those who have mental issues.

You are digging at my words without true comprehension.
Hi Stonesoffire,

I am sorry if I am being dramatic, but the phrase "Our identity is Jesus and His life."

If one says we are not ourselves, by Jesus, and this is not what you mean, what do you mean?

The great commission... come, let us reason together <~ those are God's words. You cannot eliminate the intellectual process.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.

That FEAR, is translated, A REVERENT RESPECT, WITH AN ASSURANCE THAT DADDY WILL SPANK.

Hebrews 12:5-8 (NASB)
5 and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, "MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD, NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM;
6 FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES."
7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.

Fear Him Who can destroy both body and soul in hell.

I understand that there are different meanings to the word fear, but in that case? Fear is not reverential respect.

I believed that there was a GOD, but even the Demons believe that much, and sitting on a Church Pew regularly, did not SAVE me either. After that third attempt at SUICIDE, I realized that I was just a Church-GOER, and my whole lifestyle was an offence to HIM. I was NEVER a REAL CHRISTIAN. That realization drove me to my KNEES, as I Cried OUT TO HIM, "LORD, Forgive Me! If you have a purpose for my Life, YOU have to come into it, and run my life. I cannot do it! I am making a total mess of it." That was a Complete and TOTAL Surrender to Jesus Christ, out of LOVE FOR HIM, as I wept and Cried for hours. THAT IS WHEN I TRULY WAS SAVED, not the 29 years prior to that, I lived as a Lutheran. I know now that I was standing in the gates of hades/hell, ready to walk in on my own, as I held that Pistol to my temple, with trigger half pulled. TWO TIMES I DID THAT, and both times the TERROR BEYOND WHAT MAN COULD EVER DO TO ME, OVERWHELMED ME, and I dropped the Pistol both times. YES, I KNOW I STILL WAS NOT SAVED, and it took a third time of trying to arrange a FATAL motorcycle accident; before I was WILLING, out of LOVE FOR HIM, to Surrender Control of my life to HIM.

Prior to that, I sat on a Pew almost Every Sunday, Knew Who Jesus Was (but even the Demons believe that much), I knew the Order of Service printed in my Hymnal by memory, including the Apostles Creed, knew every answer in the Catechism, went to Lutheran Services Volunteer Camp, I was AN ACOLYTE {Altar Boy}, I KNEW most of the Bible Stories about JESUS, etc.; and STILL WAS NOT SAVED. None of that equals SALVATION.

THAT NIGHT AFTER THE THIRD ATTEMPT AT SUICIDE, I REPENTED REMORSEFULLY, for hours, and I REALLY CAME TO KNOW AND LOVE HIM, and TRULY RECEIVED HIM AS MY PERSONAL LORD, meaning MASTER.

No one ever taught me that is what I should do; I believe the Holy Spirit gave that to me, when I needed it the Most.

Heretics can be forgiven by accepting Jesus
Many heretics have already accepted Jesus ;) According to the RCC, protestants are heretics, and according to protestants, the RCC is heretical. So, whaddya gonna do? Revere Christ as Lord, and always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. :) The underlined part is apologetics in a nutshell :D

I down play, or talk down about reason

This is an interesting awareness, as in sensing or hearing a still small voice

Yet I used reason

I think I realized my own contradiction here

For the hope that you may have

It was probably discouragement that make us want to give up on it

Keep going is not easy

We claim that absolute truth exist

We are considered as arrogant for making that claim

Arrogance provoke bitterness
Therefore, absolute truth exist

@Magenta

I thought of a helpful question for apologetics

Ask them

Q: would you be able to explain the origin of that thought? <-- good question?

I believe that salvation is God's call, we can only respond with a decision for Him

Would they be able to explain the origin of their idea that salvation is losable?

I wish we can help them understand our position in eternal security

Pray God deals with him quickly, if he will never be saved; and Pray for the Patience to witness to him, if he will eventually become a real Christian.
Imprecatory prayer is the last prayer we want to pray
