people angry with God used to watch and call to argue with us. No time to waste arguing with angry knuckleheads.

There was something obviously wrong with them, no doubt. Why would an atheist stay up all night watching all christian all of the time programing? And call because they are angry with us because we chose to serve the Lord by helping others? We weren't trained to deal with that level of insanity. Many counselors got depressed and quit after a few tries. Well trained and educated volunteer's are few and far between. The knuckle heads would rather drag us down than admit they were mixed up and angry with God.
That was something else I meant to mention, too: some non-believers were quite gleeful when they were part of the cause or witnessed a Christian crashing and burning, because their unabashedly stated goal was to destroy faith at any and all costs. Part of what was so sad for me was, while trying to reach out to such a Christian in the midst of the celebratory partying at their expense, the sinking Christian would be so focused on the negativity being spewed at them, that they could not even see the support being offered :(

I would barely last one or two days, and a week would be way too much for me

You might be surprised what you could do when you put on the full armour of God :)

I found the first site while I was morally supporting a young musician. He was quite a good guitarist and did not know how to handle the negativity he got from certain people. I could say I found the Religion boards accidentally but I don't believe in such  The thing is, it was not my plan to go find atheists and agnostics and secular humanists to match wits with, and yet as soon a I started doing it, I WAS HOOKED. The biggest plus for me was that I learned Scripture better as I countered them, even as I mostly refrained from presenting verses to them, because I knew they would largely just outright reject any such thing. I learned a lot about other things as well, as I had to do much research in dialoguing with them on their topics of choice, some of which I learned to simply leave alone. I was challenged in every aspect. Learning when and how to walk away is also important. Sanity and serenity depend on it :)

Here is that young man, who was instrumental in helping me find my first apologetics venue, playing Classical Gas :D

Out of respect, the Bible is a book to be respected

Can we be sure that they Bible is everything, even if it only contains Israel's history in the old testament, and the new testament has enough to defend osas?

And, what does everything mean in this context?

No! We can't fix a car, wire a house or build a submarine with it. Salvation wise the New Testament is the only dependable resource we have. I'm not going to waste time defending the New Testament either. You've got one, go read it, all!

From Matthew to Jude 3 or 4 times in a row the way it is written. No skipping or jumping around. When you think you understand most of it read Revelations. The Old testament is beneficial too but all you need to know about Salvation is in the Gospels. I bet my Soul on it! are you in or out?

Help me pray this to Jesus

"Draw me, I want you, deep down, I want you"

Or if I don't know how to pray, pray that I can pray
That's good enough if you mean it young man. Unless a miracle happens yu just have to seek Gods advice. It's all ready written down NIV is 8th grade level. If you can work a computer you can read what God said. The world is full of false teachers. Our best defense against them is in Gods word. 2000 years ago nobody had the most complete texts we have today. People had to trust teachers because with the exception of Hebrew men, the illiteracy rate was staggering The printing press wasn't invented till about the time of Columbus. Now we've got more in our own hands than billions before us ever had.

If God says, "do not worry, I will guide you" I can be thankful for that as well

Its all in the word my brother. How can you expect to recognize sheep from goats with reading the instructions? It's like sitting high in the bleachers watching a game without binoculars or a program. The Bible is the program His Holy Spirit is The binoculars. We seldom learn much from a closed Bible unless all we need is a placebo. I was meant for us to read.
