Hebrews 1:6
And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
The angels of God worship Jesus Christ, who is the first begotten into the world, because He is God The Son being born of a virgin to present Himself to His Father as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of humanity. Jesus’ VIRGIN birth was the TYPE of all who will ever be born again by The Word of God (1 Peter 1:23) without the work of men’s hands (John 1:12-13) through faith in His Redemptive work.
Hebrews, overall is really about The Lord Jesus Christ being so much supremely higher and FAR more powerful than angels and all of His creation. Jesus Christ created every angel, and yes that includes Lucifer which is the Devil. Certain religions (Not Christianity) believe that Lucifer (Angel) and Jesus are brothers, but that is found nowhere in the Bible, so wherever they find that knowledge, it is NOT from God. When you add to God’s Word, you add the plagues of God’s Word to your life (Revelation 22:18-19), and when you take away from God’s Word, it is only your part that will be removed from God’s Book of Life. We are not to worship anything that God made, but only Him (Matthew 4:10).

In the Old Testament, idolatry involved God’s people choosing to look to a false god that moved a person’s faith away from Jehovah God. The new object of their faith was usually an idol, carved by the hands of man, made from wood or stone. How could anyone be so ignorant as to reject the God that had proven Himself faithful and capable and extend their faith towards a false god that had been fashioned with their own hands? Today we look back on that activity and shake our heads in wonder. But is not the Church practicing the same sin when they concoct different ways and means of living for God outside of faith in the Cross? The new covenant was brought into being by Christ and His redemptive work on Calvary. When we direct our faith towards other means of living, especially those designed by our hands, are we not mirroring the mistakes of generations past? When we turn towards anything other than complete and exclusive faith in Christ and the Cross to supply our salvation, progressive sanctification, or deliverance; are we not practicing idolatry? Yes, we are! God is calling the Church to repent from our modern-day idolatry and to return to faith in His way, the way of the Cross.
Jeremiah 2:13 - For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
Hebrews 1:7
And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
Now God speaks concerning His angels and says, “He makes His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire.” His angels are His ministering spirits, and can be used of God in so many ways, but again as we allow the Holy Spirit to keep everything in context here, we must understand The Lord is trying to get us to ALWAYS focus on the extreme exaltation of Jesus Christ above ALL things including angels. While angels may be a flame of fire, our God is THE consuming fire from which they find their place as a flame of His fire (Hebrews 12:29).
When we compare anything with Jesus Christ, no matter the greatness of it or them, He is ALWAYS exalted apart, above and before ALL things if we are seeing Him properly. There is nothing that can compare with Jesus Christ as He is the perfect expression of our faithful God’s person, and the brightness of His glory (Hebrews 1:3)! Angels are not, as they only declare His glory while Jesus is that glory!! God, by Jesus created ALL of the angels for His purpose (Colossians 1:16-17). Glory to God!!

As the believer travels through the Christian experience there are bound to be slip ups and failures; in a nutshell, we will disobey God. Under the benefits of the New Covenant the Holy Spirit has moved inside the believer and should be able to instantly inform the believer of any wrongdoing. This conviction by the Holy Spirit is a healthy and needful addition to New Covenant provision. When we fail, we should both repent or turn from that action or activity and confess our fault, our misdemeanor, our sin, to God. Our faith in Christ and the Cross then appropriates this truth, that my current failure has already been paid for by Christ on Calvary. With repentance and confession accomplished, my heart and my mind will experience a peace that only God can provide. I know and understand that the blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed me from all unrighteousness. God, who is the just one and the only justifier of man, remembers my sin and iniquity no more. I will never find true peace until I confess my failure to the Lord. So make it right with God and then move ahead assured of your relationship with Christ. Let nothing remain between you and your Savior!
Psalm 32:5 - I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
Hebrews 1:8
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
God the Father has said to His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter or rod of Righteousness is the scepter/rod or authority of His Kingdom. Jesus Christ is God the Son, who because of His work on the Cross as a Man led by the Spirit for all of humanity, has received of His Father a throne that is forever and ever and ruled by Righteousness without end. There will never be another King, another reigning throne, and there will be no end to the Rule of His Righteousness!
Every Word of God is IN Righteousness, which means it was spoken in the context of who Jesus is and what Jesus did at the Cross, of which both are the same. WHO He is WHAT He did at the Cross and WHAT He did at the Cross is WHO He is. He will begin His earthly rule for the last 1000 years of this 7000 year period of God’s dealing with sinful man before He creates the new earth and the new heavens. In that 1000 year period most of the world will hate Him because Righteousness will be the Rule of the day, and men hate His Righteousness because His Righteousness is always about His Way which is the Way of the Cross (Revelation 20:7-9). The old devil can’t win for losing, but those who are trusting in the Sacrifice of Christ can’t lose for winning!!

The arguments that surround the Sabbath day have existed ever since the New Covenant was established. The apostle Paul taught that the Mosaic law was obsolete under the New Covenant in regard to obtaining or maintaining righteousness. He taught that our righteousness was not achieved by the observance of a day or accomplished by what we did or did not eat. It was not established by what we wore. Neither was righteousness awarded because of our lifestyle. Paul taught that righteousness under the New Covenant was obtained and maintained by faith in Jesus Christ and that alone. The concept of the Sabbath is now no longer fulfilled through the keeping of a day, but instead, it is experienced by resting in the finished work of Christ. Hebrews 4:1-11 declares that we are to labor to enter into the rest created by Christ on the cross. To fail to enter into this rest evidences unbelief in God’s redemption plan. Therefore, profaning the sabbath under the terms of the New Covenant is failing to trust exclusively in the finished work of Christ. Are you resting in what Christ has provided? Or are you attempting to procure and maintain righteousness through works. If so, you are profaning the Sabbath rest provided by God.
Ezekiel 22:8 - Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.
Hebrews 1:9
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
“Therefore” is always a word that makes us look back at what was previously said so that we can have a deeper and hopefully a greater impartation by the Holy Spirit of what our faithful Lord is saying to us. Here it means that because Jesus loved RIGHTEOUSNESS and hated iniquity, God anointed Him with the oil of gladness above His fellows. This should show us Jesus experiencing the same as He taught about RIGHTEOUSNESS in Matthew 5:3, when He said, “If we hunger and thirst for RIGHTEOUSNESS, we would be filled.” Praise God!!
RIGHTEOUSNESS is what we became (2 Corinthians 5:21) as Children of God in Christ Jesus, it is the only path which God leads us (Psalm 23:3), it is the only avenue which He has given us to serve Him (Romans 6:17-22), and has promised us that if we are seeking His Kingdom, and His RIGHTEOUSNESS, He will add all things needed to our lives (Matthew 6:33). The anointing breaks the yoke of bondage and pours in the oil of gladness, which is the fruit of The Holy Spirit, and can never be separated from the fruits of RIGHTEOUSNESS. These experiences are exclusively found and experienced on the path of RIGHTEOUSNESS through faith in the Cross of Christ (Galatians 2:21).

Tomorrow may never come! Far too often we live with the vision of what we intend to do, where we are going, and what we intend to become. In doing so we run the risk of missing out on the treasure of today. It certainly is correct to plan for our future, but not to the degree that we fail to properly address what lies at hand. The present is where we are, not where we hope to be. We should not diminish the benefit of using our enthusiasm, love, and talents for today, because we are so focused upon something that may or may not ever occur. When this happens, we steal from ourselves the possible joys and victories of today. We are never promised tomorrow. We live in the here and now! Perhaps it might be wiser to love all we can, give all we can, do what is right to do, today. Let us view tomorrow with wisdom and in prayer but let us keep our wits about us for this day, this minute, this hour. Let the Spirit of God guide you, not just towards your future, but through every circumstance of every day. There really is quite enough for us to deal with in this present moment!
Matthew 6:34 - Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Hebrews 1:10
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
God, “By Jesus” laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of His hands. Everything God has done among and for men has been through His Son Jesus Christ. (John 1:1-2, 14, Hebrews 1:1-2). If God is in it, it is through Jesus Christ, and if we are involved in what He is doing, at least in the Salvation and Sanctification part, we must be found IN CHRIST, which is by faith in His Redemptive work on the Cross alone!
Jesus is Creator, He is Redeemer and He will be the One and only Lord who judges every human being who has ever lived. To be a part of the work of God’s hands is of course the most precious thing among men, although not noticed by many and rejected by many who have noticed. The foundation of the earth was laid by, and with, the Chief Corner Stone, who is Jesus Christ, and had already in the plan of God been offered for the sins of humanity before that foundation was ever laid (1 Peter 1:20, Hebrews 4:3, Revelation 13:8).

The unity of the body of Christ is something that all believers should desire. When we are born-again through faith in what Christ did at Calvary, we are instantly baptized into the body of Christ by the Spirit of God. Believers make up the individual components that are to function together under Christ for a common goal or purpose established by God. Jesus alone is the Head of the Church. He sends the proper signals to the varied parts of the body, which in turn are to perform their specific functions. When all the parts of the body are operating in conjunction with and in obedience to the commands of the true Head, then the body operates as a single unit and accomplishes the will of God. When the individual body parts fail to operate this way or stubbornly refuse to recognize their proper place in the body of Christ, a division or schism is created. We also understand that a desire for unity must never negate Biblical truth. Unity at the expense of Biblical truth reeks of the dreadful aroma of compromise and is deadly to the health of the body. Recognize your true role within the body of Christ. Be content while working and acknowledging the roles of those around you!
Psalm 133:1 - "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"
Hebrews 1:11
They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
The God of Heaven and Earth continues to speak about His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ whom He has called God (v. 😎. Concerning the earth and the heavens which were made by His hands, and both of which will perish. Because of sin, the heavens and the earth will have to be made anew, but when they perish, The Lord will remain. This Bible says this earth is not worthy of (Hebrews 11:38) the Saints, and the Lord will surely create the new heavens and new earth wherein Righteousness dwells for His people (2 Peter 3:13).
Everything that is not In Christ will be destroyed and put away forever, but all that are In Christ will be with Him forever and forever. Even though our physical bodies, along with the heavens and earth are waxing/growing old, and one day will be gone forever, we shall never perish, but will walk in newness of Life In Christ forever and forever (Isaiah 40:8). All because of The Cross of Jesus Christ, there is newness of Life for all who will only believe upon Him!

Every Christian who sincerely lives for God will sooner or later be confronted by an intense trial of their faith. This trial may come by a series of circumstances. It may be the result of an intimidating spiritual attack or even the result of a moral failure. The successful traversing through any problem that may surface can only be accomplished through the agency of faith. That faith must be placed in the right object. The Bible tells us that "faith is the substance" and that faith is also “the evidence." The word "substance" may be translated as "the ground" or perhaps, "the confidence." The word "evidence" may be translated as "proof'" or "conviction." Therefore, faith is the ground or the confidence that the believer has towards things "hoped for." It is the "evidence," the "proof," the “conviction," that the believer holds to, even though it is a reality that remains unseen. The Christian must also understand the true meaning of “hope” in the Biblical sense. Hope is not some whimsical desire that the individual perceives through selfish emotions or desires. Instead, Biblical hope is hope that stems from the surety of a thing. The belief that what we are hoping for will occur. Hold to the confidence and evidence that God gives and keep on believing!
Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
The only trusting place which God has offered humanity is the Cross of Jesus Christ, and there alone will we as His people be kept in the perfect peace He there purchased for us
Colossians 1:20
The mind that is stayed on the Lord, continually looks to Him through faith in His work on the Cross!
Hebrews 1:12
And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
Notice here the word, “Changed” and in the previous verse the word, “Perish” was used concerning what is going to happen to the present earth and heavens. They will perish, but here it says they will be changed. What does that remind you of? The very born again experience for every Believer is in view here, as we PERISHED/died with Christ (Romans 6:6, Galatians 2:20), but yet here we are today CHANGED and being CHANGED, alive in Christ and living by His Faith (Galatians 2:20).
Everything in God’s Word, even the creation of the world and the New heavens and the New earth will always be wrapped around Jesus Christ and who He is as Redeemer. Our hearts should be filled with His knowledge each and every day, for He is the One and only One who never changes, and His years (His Life) will not fail, which refers to being eternal! Thank God for the Cross, for through Christ and His work on the Cross, all things will be made new for His people and for His glory! Stay single eyed and look only at Him and His Redemptive work on the Cross, for all other works will have been rolled up in the vesture and thrown away forever!

There are millions of Christians who cry themselves to sleep every night because they want to live for God but they don’t know how. They tried this church, that preacher, this program, those conferences, but all to no avail.
God has offered nothing to or for man outside of faith in His Son and His work on the Cross.
It is never faith in the Cross AND anything other, for that is a heart that believes the Cross wasn’t enough!
Oh that we would humble ourselves and come back to faith in the Cross of Christ so that we would no longer have to fake believe which can only fake receive.
I am praying that less and less people will have to hear themselves say, “Didn’t we do all that we did in Your name Lord?”
