I don't believe "Islam" is "evil" because scripture tells us that evil is within the hearts of men.
(Gen 6:5)And GOD saw that the wickedness of man wasgreat in the earth, and thatevery imagination of the thoughts of his heart wasonly evil continually.
(Gen 8:21)And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart isevil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
Ishmael, the father of the Arab nations was blessed by God and is a part of God's covenant with his father Abraham because he is his seed.
(Gen 17:7) And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
(Gen 17:20) And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
Now it is understood that this covenant with Ishmael is not the same as the covenant with Issac.
Gen 17:18 And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!
Gen 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
Gen 17:20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
Gen 17:21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.
So now we have the Israelites, the Ishmaelites and the Edomites all of whom are the seed of Abraham and fall under the original covenant because all of the children of Abraham have been reckoned through Issac.
(Gal 4:22) For it has been written, Abraham had two sons, one out of the slave woman and one out of the free woman.
(Gal 4:23) But, indeed, he of the slave woman has been born according to flesh, and he out of the free woman through the promise,
(Gal 4:24) which things are being allegorized, for these are two covenants, one, indeed, from Mount Sinai bringing forth to slavery (which is Hagar,
(Gal 4:25) for Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, and she slaves with her children),
(Gal 4:26) but the Jerusalem from above is free, who is the mother of us all;
(Gal 4:27) for it has been written, "Be glad, barren one not bearing; break forth and shout, the one not travailing; for more are the children of the desolate rather than she having the husband." Isa. 54:1
(Gal 4:28) But, brothers, we are children of promise according to Isaac.
(Gal 4:29) But then, even as he born according to flesh persecuted the one according to Spirit, so it is also now.
(Gal 4:30) But what says the Scripture? "Cast out the slave woman and her son, for in no way shall the son of the slave woman inherit with the son of the free woman." Gen. 21:10
(Gal 4:31) Then, brothers, we are not children of a slave woman but of the free woman.
Now it seems to me that under the Abrahamic covenant that the Isrealites, the Ishmaelites and the Edomites fall under the same umbrella, so to speak, albeit that their inheritance is not the same.
The question here is by what standard to we determine what is evil in terms of nations? Is Israel evil? If not, why then is Islam evil? Ultimately they both worship the same Godhead. Neither believe in Jesus as the son of God and both view Him as a prophet.
Where is the line drawn here? Either both are evil or neither is.
(Jer 31:33) But this shall be the covenant that I will cut with the house of Israel: After those days, declares Jehovah, I will put My Law in their inward parts, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
(Jer 31:34) And they shall no longer each man teach his neighbor, and each man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah. For they shall all know Me, from the least of them even to the greatest of them, declares Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more.
On the day of judgment men will be judged not as nations or religious systems. Believers in Christ have our Lord as our advocate before God. Non-believers do not and will subsequently be righteously judged individually by their works under the law.
Judgment is mine sayeth the Lord.
Just my point of view.
