You're either a Christian under the New Covenant or you're a Jew under the Law of Moses.
Well, I thought I was and English/Canadian Christian until a few years ago when the Lord convinced me that things were not quite as I thought. As it turns out, I'm a descendent of Levi. He told me, etc.
I've heard all about demons, drugs, and aneurisms. And please don't tell me that Jesus is going to burn me in hell for believing this...He was the one who told me.
I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. I believe He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. I believed He lived a sinless life. I believe He was unjustly tried, convicted, and crucified. God raised Him from the dead on the third day and Jesus is now sitting at the right hand of the Father. He will come again and judge the living and the dead. Etc.
This was the Father's will so that through faith in the substitutionary atonement of Christ, one's sins may be forgiven, they can be born again spiritually, and live with God forever.
I believe that natural branches were broken off so that wild ones could be grafted in. I believe that we are nearing the fulness of the gentiles and that natural branches are being grafted back in. I believe that the kingdom is going back to Israel, and that the gentile church is an equal part of Israel.
I now see myself as a Messianic Jew. We have some differences in theology but we are one in Christ.
I do, however, believe that God has sub-purposes for different people groups. We have so much more in common than we differ on. So let's try to get along, okay? He's watching and deserves the best we can give Him.
