Habakkuk 2
Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!
That does not forbid the making of wine does it? Please stay on topic.

What leads you to believe there are warnings first, like a PM?
AWESOME, glad, you found it1 Corinthians 11:24,25
“And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.”
“After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.”
He is teaching us what to do by example.
I've compounded remedies for my family that contain alcohol. A dropper full is usually the dosage. As for stomach issues, I wrestled with this verse and have come to the opinion that....
A. Paul had the authority and insight from God to practice health. So did the priesthood under the O.T. law.
B. After my former pastor taught that the alcohol was to heal Timothy's ulcers from the nagging preacher lady in his congregation, I had to question that.
There are instructions to not permit that to occur. He likely would not permit it to happen and cause him that much stress to bring about ulcers. I know you aren't claiming that. It's just a personal experience from the pulpit I used to listen to as an illustration.
If Timothy had ulcers, alcohol would inflame and aggravate it, likely delay healing.
There are certain fruits that are common remedies for digestive health.
I'm not against the medicinal use of alcohol when it applies. I just have come to the opinion that this particular case was more likely the unfermented wine/ juice since I am unaware of alcohol for digestive tract healing.
For instance, I just made some hot juice/ tea from fruit to deal with a personal challenge. I might post the testimony elsewhere. Perhaps it will be a blessing to others.
It's not like the verse proves or disproves a doctrine. Since it's open ended without more details, we can't be certain IMHO. I agree that alcohol has it's place as medicine. I just don't think this is the verse to follow in regards to using it for digestive issues. YMMV and if it does, I am open to testimonials.
Why did Jesus get baptized? He had no sin. He said it was done to fulfill all righteousness.NO, there's no Reason Jesus needs to eat His Own Flesh and Drink His Own Blood.
show me in the Bible why He needs to do that?
it's in the LAW to be Baptized. Why did Jesus get baptized? He had no sin. He said it was done to fulfill all righteousness.
Jesus was under a works covenant just as Adam was. As such, He had to fulfill the moral law, the ceremonial law, and commands that were particular to becoming qualified as Messiah.
Partaking in Passover and baptism would be a part of the ceremonial law.
He hadn't fulfilled it until He declared...it is finished.it's in the LAW to be Baptized.
Isn't there a claim, that He Fulfilled the LAW?
He hadn't fulfilled it until He declared...it is finished.
I had an idea that when John the Baptist baptised Jesus, little did John know but Jesus took all the sins away from John. Why did Jesus get baptized? He had no sin. He said it was done to fulfill all righteousness.

I have no issue with that viewpoint.I had an idea that when John the Baptist baptised Jesus, little did John know but Jesus took all the sins away from John.
In the old testament it was thought that quite often the sins would pass to the priest when who then would pass them to bull or calf or lamb or scapegoat or even an Azul, I've read it some where.
It could be John wasn't even aware Jesus did this for him.
I hope you like this idea, if not no worries, just don't get all Jewpiter with me![]()
Help me out then. I'm missing something in your argument. Can you state it again?what does that have to do with, it's the LAW to be Baptized, and He did what was is in the LAW?
this is why i wonder about Banning People.I have no issue with that viewpoint.
We only know what the Bible shows us.
but John wrote if they wrote down everything Jesus did, all the libraries in the world could not contain them.
So, it is possible.
Heresies (not all inclusive):
Rejection of the Deity/Eternality of Christ
Universalism (everyone ends up in heaven eventually)
Rejection of the Omniscience/Omnipotence/Omnipresence of God
Rejection of the Trinity
Jesus honored the food Laws, the animal Laws, the human Laws, and the spiritual Laws.Help me out then. I'm missing something in your argument. Can you state it again?
It's an interesting thought. What do you think about John leaping in the womb at Mary's arrival?I had an idea that when John the Baptist baptised Jesus, little did John know but Jesus took all the sins away from John.

I also appreciate the fact that there are no ads here.
NyQuil; The cold and cough and so-you-can-rest medicine.
Ok. So where does Passover fit? That's what was happening at the last supper.Jesus honored the food Laws, the animal Laws, the human Laws, and the spiritual Laws.
being Baptized in running Water, like a River, is one of the Laws we know He fulfilled.
Passover is Remembering Egypt and the Angel of Death Passed Over their Doors covered in the lamb's BloodOk. So where does Passover fit? That's what was happening at the last supper.
I can't recall the verseIt's an interesting thought. What do you think about John leaping in the womb at Mary's arrival?
