Hi Pilgrimshope, I think what you are trying to say is that, as Christians, we should not stop short at the point when we repented of our sins and accepted Christ into our lives. After we have received this grace, we, as genuine believers, need to bear fruits of our Salvation.
I could not agree with you more.
As Christians, after we have received this grace, we need to continue to grow in grace.
I recently came across an article that says "everyone knows theology", meaning everyone has an understanding of God. But not everyone who knows theology, possesses sound or good theology. It struck me that growth as a Christian is important, otherwise we could be practicing and imparting bad theology to others.

grace is a wonderful thing as it was for Noah but Noah still was required to believe what God was saying to him about the coming flood d the way to be saved from it
faith is I believe where you are speaking
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Romans 10:17 KJV
I think it’s so very important for us to distinguish between the word that bears this fruit
“For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.”
Romans 7:5-6
We can hear “ do not kill “ and it’s not going to produce one once of faith , but when you hear this it creates saving faith and draws you close , gives you a reason to look to him more , to hear what he has to say and let it in
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
John 5:24 KJV
this is an invite to Place our trust in his word . We can be told to stone the other sinners like the ot but it’s not going to produce any faith . But if we come to Jesus and the gospel it’s offering us something to believe in and hope for something to focus on and pursue earth yes just ahead reaching up like plants or trees toward the light
we need the faith Jesus spoke into the world for us because he is the gardener
