Yes, heh, I know! So many things are just a sandwich, prepared a different way! LOLNo, what you have there is a yummy looking type of breakfast burrito.
Kinda sorta maybe looks like their Szechuan chicken pizza?Ohhhh what's that one?

It depends on where you live. Seafood is a common topping in Asia. South Korea, for instance, doesn't use marinara sauce. Did you know pureed kimchi tastes just like spicy Italian marinara but has about 10 calories? Meanwhile, the Japanese top their seafood pizza with a drizzle of mayo, while the Italians like a large slice of tomato on top of each slice. In South America, it is common to have a taco pizza. don't say you hate it untell you try it.
I really enjoyed pizza tonno on Venice.I'm very suspicious of any kimchi taking like Italian marinara sauce. Maybe it's not the good kind of kimchi or I haven't tasted the same kind of marinara sauce.
I did notice Koreans would eat pizzas that seem otherwise normal at Pizza 2000, except that they had corn on them. There was also some kind of local pizza with pechu, Chinese cabbage, on it. But I never had a kimchi pizza there.
I'm not thrilled about the idea of a seafood pizza, but I would want the shrimp pealed first before I tried it.
I did buy some breaded fried shrimp in the market in South Korea once. I was excited to find something familiar to eat. I took a bite into it, and the shell was still on it... inside the batter. I had to peal off the batter and the shell to eat it. I guess they just ate the shell. I went out with some Koreans to a buffet and saw one of them bite into the shell and crunch up a whole tiny crab. I expressed surprise and said, "You eat the whole thing?" The other guy at the table said, "I don't eat it like that." He took off the legs, then popped the crunchy shell into his mouth and ate it.
ah!!!!! the great preponderant prolific pizza question! pizza!!!! a thousand possibilities! i'm old fashioned, basically, i only want cheese, mushrooms & sausage on my pizza. i wouldn't say this or that should never be on pizza because individual palates always rule. once in a while, i prefer broccoli on pizza but never anchovies. around here, you can order a half of pizza with your likings & the other half with what someone else wants. yes, spinach, i prefer from time to time.Hey Everyone,
Well, we'll see how this goes. My genius (perhaps slightly dyslexic) brain originally typed out, "Why is Pizza on Pineapple SO Controversial?"
Yeah, the thinking cap is a little backwards this morning.
We all know the infamous controversy about pineapple as a topping on pizza:
![]()
BUT, I've always wondered exactly WHY it's so reviled. Is it because:
* Pineapple is a fruit, and fruit should never be on pizza.
* Pineapple is sweet, and sweet shouldn't be mixed with a savory food.
But if this is true, what about things like sweet and sour? Why does one combination work and not the other?
* Is there something just inherently evil about pineapples? Is pineapple somehow a fruit of the devil?
* And (the reason I'm posting this in the Family sections.) if/when your family members disagree on toppings, how many different pizzas do you have to order so everyone is happy?
I have some family members who like a few "unconventional" pizza styles, such as yes, the infamous pineapple, along with BBQ chicken (my least favorite of the ones they've tried,) all-vegetable, and "white" pizza, usually involving spinach and sometimes artichokes. Sometimes when I go to visit, that might be all they've fixed or ordered, so I've learned to not be very picky-- or chances are, I won't get fed.(And don't we ALL show up when a free meal is involved?!)
Whether you think pineapple on pizza should be beloved or bemoaned, it's time to square off!!
Leave your thoughts, comments, and reasons as to why YOUR opinion is RIGHT (because that's what we do here on the forum,) and tell us why the opposing side is COMPLETELY WRONG (obviously!)

Pineapple belongs on pizza if it accompanied by ham. Nothing spicy.
In any other combination, it is simply wrong.
Let the haters hate.![]()
I have not had pineapple on pizza in ages, but I think it goes well with ham. I think pineapple on pizza is likely more of regional specialty, maybe more popular in places like Hawaii. Most people elsewhere do not rush to order pineapple on pizza.

i see you lived in NYC. i used to social there for quite awhile. if you want to share some of your points of interest & restaurants that would be neat.Back in my neck of the woods in NYC, Hawaiian pizza is very popular
I'm in another state now and the local pizzeria just recently added it along with BBQ chicken pizza. Now I'm in heaven!

I spent years in Hawaii, and I don't think I saw Hawaiian pizza the whole time I was there. I didn't see 'Hawaiian punch' either. I recall someone there saying we don't drink that stuff, and then comment on the local brand of canned juice they do drink. There might have been more than one flavor. Lilikoi... passionfruit... was the best, IMO. But it gave one a dose of high fructose corn syrup also.I’m not Hawaiian, and I love ham and pineapple pizza.
